Watermere at Flower Mound is closest to where I live, so it's in the same community. That's one of the primary reasons why I chose them. Overall, I like the amenities it offers compared to some of the others, including meeting rooms where I can host cards. I'm a member of a card group. The others had that, but they just weren't as nice and set up as well as Watermere. They also have washer and dryer hookups, where most of the others do not. The way it was appointed was very tastefully done. The staff member who gave the tour was very personable and very interested in meeting my concerns and what I was looking for. She wasn't trying to sell the place. She just presented the place, and she listened to what I was looking for, so I was very comfortable with that. Not that the others didn't, but she just did a very effective job of it. I saw a sample of their food, and it was entirely satisfactory. The physical community was very clean and highly polished. It had everything I wanted. I wanted a higher floor. I got the second floor out of three, and I overlook the courtyard, which is very nice. It includes a pool in the middle of the outside facility, but it's indoor, so it's heated and cooled throughout the year. So, it's usable 24/7 every month of the year.

We toured Watermere at Flower Mound, and it was my favorite among the apartments. It had fabulous closets, a nice kitchen, and washers and dryers, and I loved it. They offered breakfast and no dinners except once a week, and they gave you $75 each a month to spend on that one Thursday night. The staff described it as a gourmet dinner, but the prices were $30, $26.50, or $27.50. I mean, you couldn't eat there but two times a month. Otherwise, you have to cook, and I'm looking for facilities where I don't have to cook. I would give a low mark to the food program. It was not a good deal at all. The facility is not beautiful on the outside. It looked more like apartments to me from the outside, and compared to the other facility, I was not as impressed with the exterior, but inside, it's fine. I liked the patios in the backyard. Their fees were not as high as the other facility, and it had a wonderful pantry, but their carports were like $100 a month, whereas the other facility was less. The carport charge was a little high. They had a library and a workout room. Because they were full, Tamara was a little too fast with the information. I got my notes all scribbled up because she was jumping around. I didn't think she was as organized at all in terms of her presentation.

I'm at Watermere at Flower Mound. It's for people that don't really need care from the facility. It's just like an apartment. I have a one-bedroom, one bath with a full kitchen. It's like a little small home. It's got everything. They have a lot of activities. They have games, we go on excursions, and I like to exercise and walk, so I do that. It keeps you busy. The staff are just wonderful. The concierge at the desk helps you in any way. The housekeeping staff is wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about them. We have a chef and you can't beat the food. It's restaurant quality.
