"We've moved into Parkview. The staff and the other residents are just super. They were a lot of help. We try to meet as many new people as possible everytime we go to eat in the dining room. The food is delicious. Our son and daughter-in-law like to come up and join us every chance that they get. The apartments are very nice. We have over 1100 square feet with two bedrooms and a very nice kitchen. We have our own washer and dryer in the unit and a small little porch outside. We've been here for three weeks. There are lots of things going on. It's like a cruise. They have all kinds of entertainment, happy hour on Friday, movies, bible study, water aerobics, exercise, card games, dominos, a very nice library, a beauty salon and barber shop in the place. "

"I toured Atria Carrollton. It's a large facility with plenty of staff and plenty of activities. Each day of the month has a planned activity, which is a plus. The marketing director was aggressive, got rooms to sell, and had lots of follow-ups."

"I went to Emerson at Rosemeade Park. It was very large, very clean, and very comfortable. They have games and recreation. I thought it was nice. You could eat in your room if you didn't want to go to the dining room. They have like a studio available. I think for what they are charging, it's too much. All seniors can't afford that. For the cost, I think the room was small. As for activities, they have a pool table, and if you like games, you could games. I thought they were very nice and considerate in trying to get me one of the units. But you have to look at the fact that you have to pay a $500-deposit to get them to hold them. It's like a security, but it's like you're paying a whole cost upfront besides the cost, like an administrative type fee. It's already expensive, so you're almost doubling the cost to move in. It was too expensive. However, the staff was very good."

"The amenities are really well thought-out. The theatre is actually very nice and my fiance and I have seen several movies there simply because it was free to us and a nice way to see her grandparents. The spa and pool are always clean as are the gym and the recreation center. On of our deciding factors (my fiance and I) when choosing The Conservatory was that it was located close to us and near the Town Sq. so we new we could visit and that the grandparents would have entertainment at the town square if we couldn't visit (free daily shuttle going to the Town Sq. from The Conservatory). I know that my fiance's grandparents have not been pleased with previous assisted living centers in the past, but they have always said that they are very happy with The Conservatory's staff and entertainment options. The staff have always been courteous when I have observed them and I've never heard any negative comments from the grandparents. The cost certainly isn't cheap and cost is really the only negative I have, but its ABSOLUTELY worth it and I'd spend the money again in a heartbeat if/when my parents required additional care like my fiance's grandparents already do. You simply can't put a price on the people who cared for you. "

"My mom moved into Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine. It's clean, and the meals are pretty decent. The staff has been very helpful and even allowed an interim day to accommodate my mom. They have been super friendly. They're kind of going into transition right now and the maintenance staff is being upscaled as we speak. They have a lot of activities. They have a chapel and one of the local Catholic churches come in to do communion service. It's pretty easy to get in and out of the place."

"I liked Lakeview at Josey Ranch very much. It had all the amenities I was looking for like covered parking, gated facility and meals. The staff who toured me around was very accommodating and helpful, and she also introduced me to one of the ambassadors at the facility which I liked. The dining area was very clean, open, and spacious, and it had an extremely nice view of the lake. The food was extremely good. It was my top pick of all the places that I looked at."

"Briarview was a beautiful community. It was probably my dad's top choice. The rooms were good. They have a carpet, which I guess some people like. But when there's a fall risk, it doesn't seem to make the most sense. It seemed like the social aspect of the place was definitely a priority for them. They have independent living cottages. Their activities that they do with their residents seem like a notch above the other places that we had seen. It was very organized and structured. It was just so expensive."

"My mom is in Atria Grapevine. The room has a small kitchen area, a large pantry, large storage spaces, a good size living room and bedroom, and a good size bathroom. She pays a little bit more but she likes it there. They have Bingo and card games too. "

"I'm a resident of The Remington at Valley Ranch. I've been here eight years. I've had no complaints whatsoever. It met all the needs that I've had. I moved in with my husband, and he lived here two-and-a-half years before he passed away. We came here so that when one of us did pass away, we would not be moving other than maybe go into a smaller apartment and that we could stay and continue our life here. I had no complaints with anyone in the eight years that I have been here. I've gotten along with everyone. When my husband passed, they could not have been any nicer to me. They told me if I wanted to have dinner for my family here that I could have it in the cafeteria at the day that we had the funeral service. They said, "We will not provide the dinner but we'll provide a place for you to have it," which was fine. They went all out to help me when he passed away. I'm very satisfied with everyone here. The food is excellent. If there's something that I don't particularly like that day, I can go to an alternative menu and get something else. Maintenance and housekeeping are excellent. I can get help with things that I can no longer accomplish. There are enough activities for me and I feel safe here and I feel like I'm taken care of here. It meets my needs. I think this is the best place for me to be."

"We looked at The Terrace at Priceville, and the place is very good. It's a 1400 sq. ft. of living space, and it has a garage. It’s a very nice place. It has a two bedroom with a large living room and two bath. I like this facility compared to other places that I've seen so far. "

"My mother has chosen here. They have both assisted living and independent living. Both employees and residents seem very friendly. She likes the layout of it. I am very pleased with it."

"It is beautiful. They have ala carte dining. They have a fitness center and a swimming pool. They do a good job on the upkeep of the place. The staff members are accommodating and friendly. The appearance of it is very good. It is gated and there are garages available. It is centrally located, too. It is older but very well kept. This is the one that has everything that I needed."

"The food was very good at Pioneer Ridge; however, they were not able to show me a room. The residents I talked to were very good, and we had a good conversation. It's number one on my list so far."

"StoneCreek is a brand-new community. It was beautiful. The outside and inside of that building is beautiful. It has all the new technology and modern floor plans, but it is very homey. They offer three meals a day. What's really nice is that they allow residents to turn in some of their favorite family recipes, and the chef will make those as well. I like the way they included the residents in that way. The staff members were extremely professional. They were able to answer any questions and offered a lot of helpful resources and information for my dad."
