"I’ve already moved in. I live in a big efficiency, and the food is good. We have exercise and they would take us to Wal-mart or to the symphony. They provide transportation to and from your medical and dental appointments. We have an exercise room that we use all the time, Happy Hour every Thursday, and Bible studies on Wednesday. We have three meals a day -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner -- and a variety of food. "

"The people at Mayberry Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care Homes in Grand Prairie are cordial and friendly. The place is bright and clean. I was very glad I chose to place my sister there. My sister was a past resident in the assisted living and I'm pleased with their care. Her room was very spacious and kept clean. The room was very spacious and well-kept. They were a bit understaffed at the time I was there but based upon the staff available, they did respond as quickly as possible."

"Walnut Creek seems nice, and it's working for us. My husband's apartment is very clean. The staff is friendly. The food is nice and satisfying. They have bingo and cards, and that's pretty much what I have observed."

Mother enjoys the food and loves "her girls" who take care of her. The administrators are very accessible and the activity director is wonderful. "It had all three levels of care, but I visited the independent living. They told me that it was only built five years ago. It was good, but the rooms were probably average. I saw the dining area. They had three meals a day and there was a snack area where you could pick up snacks any time of the day. For the size of the facility, the dining area seemed to be small, but they told me that if you would go for independent living, you can eat in the assisted living dining room as well. I met one staff member, and she was friendly. She knew what she was talking about. It looked like an apartment building. It's four stories. It seemed to be clean."

"The tour was very pleasant. The lady who gave us the tour was very patient, answered questions, and was very nice. The place was very clean and very homelike. They had a garden. The outdoors was pleasant and you could be out there. The layout was good. I liked outside of each room, there was a personal space for the tenant living in there to decorate their door, and set things up outside to personalize their room."

"My husband and I toured and were impressed by Brookdale Richland Hills (formerly Sterling House of Richland Hills). I almost preferred it because it's close to me, but they based their cost a la carte, so there's a charge for everything that you need assistance with. They had a separate memory care building. The staff was very friendly when we walked through. With the level of care that my dad needed, it was really cost prohibitive because he needs help with everything, but I would love for him to be there. "

"I visited Ashwood Court for my mother. The tour was good and very informative. They answered my questions. The rooms were good. The main reason why I kept looking and went somewhere else was because of the price. The facility was nice but wasn’t at the top nor the bottom of my list; it was in the middle. I didn’t notice too many activities. "

"Highlands Village was nice, really new, and clean. The rooms were small. The staff was very helpful and willing to negotiate. They really wanted to get my business, and they were very nice. The facility was nice and large. It was mealtime when I was there, so they were eating. The only reason I didn't go with them is because I was afraid my mom would need a higher level of care than what they could give like in about two or three months, and then I would have to move my mom again."

"I toured Bedford Estates Senior Living. The staff was exceedingly professional. They were very engaged. I thought the food was nice, and the place was really clean. It was located fairly conveniently. I like it a lot. It was on the short list before we decided to move my mother to another place. We looked at a studio and a one-room apartment. They had four different tiers, and we were looking at the middle tier. They had a good range of activities for the folks, like crafts, news articles, and current events. They did a little bit of stuff outside with them, like gardening. They were really good."

"I went to Morada North Richland Hills. I liked the rooms. So, that would be my biggest like and least probably would be the upkeep. It was okay, but it wasn't as nice as the other ones we toured. The staff was very helpful. The structure of the building was fine. No problems. Cleanliness was fine as well. We liked the rooms and the layout. They were good."

"We toured StoneCreek North Richland Hills and they looked very nice. Inside it was nice looking, too. I was just disappointed with the size of the rooms, and the dining area was nothing compared to where I am staying now. I can't comment on the food because we didn't get to eat any food, I guess because of COVID. For five or six thousand dollars, I was expecting extreme luxury. I was disappointed that for $6,000 the rooms look like hospital rooms. The dining room wasn't that fancy, and it wasn't very big. It didn't seem like it was accommodating very much to meet people, but that was the COVID situation. I can't judge completely. All I can say is that it's a high price for the accommodation. They didn't go in and show the amenities to us. In fact, when they found out that we couldn't afford that, we were rushed out the door more or less. We really didn't get that much of a tour or information. The manager, more or less, was going over pricing, and like I said, when she found out we couldn't afford her place, it was like, "See you later," type of situation."
