I visited The Atrium and Cottages at Lutheran Village for my mom. It's an independent living community, and they have trips every week to the grocery stores. They also have people on staff there. The pay includes some meals and it's very reasonable. The accommodation is spacious, and when we walked around the place, the people we talked to seemed to like it there.

I've been a resident of The Atrium and Cottages at Lutheran Village. It's great that the people are very friendly. You've got access to dinner five nights a week, Monday through Friday, and that's included in the agreement. The maintenance staff is great. You don't have to fix any machines. All the maintenance was taken care of, including the washer, refrigerator, and grass. Utilities are rolled in, you don't have to worry about those bills. It's a triangular building and inside it's an atrium with palm trees and bromeliads and a little water feature. They bring in entertainment for special events. They have church services, movies, and exercise. They have one-bedrooms, a small two-bedroom, and a large two-bedroom. They have balconies. We're on the first floor, so we have a patio. Value-wise, you can't beat it. The food, it's not a five-star restaurant, but they cook and serve it. They will deliver it to your condo if you don't want to go down to the restaurant area.
