My mom has been a resident at Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley since it opened 3 years ago. The staff has taken great care of her and she feels loved by them. When she has been hospitalized and has been in rehab, she received visits from the staff. Yes, there was an adjustment period in the beginning as far as food and housekeeping, but those have been resolved. The kitchen staff, resident assistants and food are superb. Housekeeping is weekly and we have no complaints. Management has an open door policy and listens. We take advantage of medication management which is very convenient. We are able to travel with complete confidence knowing she will be taken care of and I will be notified if any concerns arise. We are very lucky to have found this home for mom.

I am not sure I can adequately correspond the displeasure I have with this place. My mom is currently a resident there who pays 6K a month! I can not justify the continued monthly bill with the current services provided. My mom is now disabled & unable to reside by herself, the reason for her being there. I have had FOUR meetings with Ben, Director and Rachel, LPN, Nursing Dir. over the same problems that have occurred & NOT ONE THING HAS CHANGED! It's all lip service. The so called "gourmet meals" full of carbohydrates, sugar & very little nutrition. Tonight's meal: Peas, 2 biscuits, few strands of Chicken, called Chicken & Dumplings & a piece of chocolate cake. Not nutritious meals for a diabetic and other medical issues. The "alternative' meal is fried tender & french fries. It is horrible! Since another round of COVID is present ppl get to eat in there rooms. My mom is given a styrofoam container, plastic utensils & very little if any help," assistance" in getting set up for meals. Most of the times she doesn't even eat. This is the 4th or 5th round of kitchen "chefs" that have been hired. I am a RN of 27 yrs. so I am very astute in care or lack there of here. Meds. are left in her room, which I have notified Rachel of & that NO meds are to be left in ANY room, still happening. Mom put a medication on as lotion, it had been left in the room! Another 650$ charge for the LPNs to administer. This is a huge safety issues . NO housekeeping for two mths., in Spring/Summer with NO account credits for services NOT provided. Also noted is that the employee turnover rate is unbelievably high. Pay rates are below local comparable rates, (ppl. have to be able to provide for their family). One regular staff LPN doing charge for the whole facility with high paid, agency nurses filling in the staffing deficiency gaps. Does not set a good precedent. The facility only has a $ 4.9 MILLION yearly rent intake and that was before the rent increase in July 2023! Currently looking for a new place. Tired of paying a huge bill for bad service. Looks nice on the outside but greatly lacks on the inside.

My mother lives at Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley. It's excellent. I like that she's happy there. She likes the staff. They're very helpful and they treat her with dignity. They check on her often. She likes the food, and she feels safe and cared for. They have a monthly family night with food and activities for the family. They have music and games. The facility is beautiful and well-decorated. They have a game room, a big cafeteria, and a private dining room. They have a lot of little sitting areas. They have several courtyards and screened-in porches with chairs for people to sit and look outside.

My father is at Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley. He went to the memory care. It's been excellent. They have very caring people, and so far we are very pleased. It's an excellent facility. It's brand new, so it's very nice. It's very clean. They have a salon, physical therapy, and OT. They have everything that he needed. The activities are very good. They keep him out and about and busy all the time. The value for money is very good.
