"St. Mary's Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare was clean. The doors were locked and monitored. If the patient needs an ankle monitor, they give you one. The building is older, but it doesn't smell. The beds they had there were more hospital beds. It's well-lit and well-painted. The staff is very friendly. They had a good public area where they engaged with the patients playing games. It was well-run and well-staffed."

"He was in Neshaminy Manor which is a well-run, state-run nursing home and physical therapy. They had doctors and registered nurses on staff. It's a full-fledged nursing home with long-term care and long-term assisted living. It was too expensive. They were very competent and very nice. "

"Christ's Home Retirement Community Shepherds Crossing was very nice. The facilities and the people were nice. It's convenient to assisted living locations. The place was great. The nurses were great. They're very helpful. Food was not bad, too. For skilled nursing, the room was fine. It's what you would expect. The atmosphere inside was very comfortable."

"My mother-in-law is already in Masonic Village at Warminster. It's been very good. They're taking good care of her, and they're attending to her needs. The food is delicious. She likes the food. We've only had problems with one staff member, she and my mother-in-law were butting heads, so they put her on the other side of the building. They transferred her. We have had no problem with any of the other staff. It's a very nice place. It's clean and nice. They have a couple of courtyards, and they have a salon there, they have like a gift shop where they can go and buy things for themselves. There is a lot of stuff there. They're planning trips out, so that's good. She doesn't get to go much because she's very old, but I think it's a nice place. They keep in good communication with us when something happens. They give us an update on how she's doing and things like that. She gets physical therapy right now. But when it runs out for Medicare, it stops. But when she's going to physical therapy, she's thrilled because it's something to do. They have a lot going on there for the people. However, it is very expensive. Do I think the value for the money is worth it? No."

"My parents moved to Greenleaf 2 years ago and they are really happy. The staff are caring, knowledgeable and professional. The facility is beautifully renovated, close to parks, town, grocery stores, and they also provide transportation. "

"My mother lived at the nursing residence for 4 years. Prior to her long term stay she had a short term stay in the rehab facility. My Mom was content. I along with my siblings felt she was safe and well cared for the entire time she lived at Abramson. Whenever we had issues, the staff was very responsive and tried to correct. I always had a good feeling when I entered the facility and when I left after a visit. We researched many places/facilities before we made our decision to place my Mom at Abramson. We made the right decision and felt very fortunate she was accepted and a bed was available for her. They are 100% occupied most of the time. Timing for admission needs to be perfect. Highly recommend "

"My mom was at Pine Run Community for rehabilitation. The food was fantastic. She fell and fractured her pelvis. The level of care was nice as far as the rehabilitation and the therapists. They did several things to get the residents involved. They had bingo several times. They had people come in. They had people that would sing for them. They had a comedian come in."

"My great aunt has live here for over 10 years. She is very satisfied and so am I. She has a wonderful apartment, the best medical care, and after spine surgery she received terrific follow up care and rehab at the Rose Garden. I have had many fine meals as her guest in the dining roam, and during covid I knew she was protected. It is not cheap, but my aunt and uncle worked and saved for many years to be able to care for themselves in their later years. This was their money and I am happy it is spent on their care, happiness and security not mine!"

"My father is in Majestic Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. It's a nursing hospice. It's very clean. There's enough medical help that I can just walk out of the room and find somebody immediately. That's comforting to me. When I request something, they don't give me a hard time, and I haven't done much of that because everything's pretty good. They tell me exactly what they're going to do and what they've done, and I just feel comfortable with him being there. The staff has been very, very nice. The food is terrible. It's ice cold every time. I'm there for his dinner, so I'm sure breakfast and lunch is the same. I've experienced this in other nursing homes, and there's not a lot you can do about it with all the meals and the floors they have to give the food out. So, pureed mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes don't really go down too well, but it's nothing I'm going to complain about because I understand they do the best they can. I see the residents playing games in the little room. The ones that can will go around with their wheelchairs. They sit out with the staff and chat with the staff if they can. I see them outside. They have a nice little garden outside. It's not depressing. When you walk in, the lobby is gorgeous and you see some of the residents hanging down there and they get around. My dad has a nice large room. It's got another bed in it. It's got your nightstand and your bureau. I guess as time goes on, you can make it more homey. The rooms are clean, the sheets are clean, and he's clean because I know when they give him a bath. They do that every day that I've seen him."

"I cannot say enough good things about Luther Woods rehab center. My father went here following a bad experience with another rehab after hip replacement surgery. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and kind. My father’s team communicated with one another and the family about his progress and needs. They had appropriate equipment and furniture for someone with orthopedic needs. The nursing staff stayed on top of his medicine and made sure that he did not have a fever (or complications). The grounds are full of trees, flowers and birds. The hallway is bright and there is always a mix of music playing softly (1930’s up). The rooms are double rooms but the administration worked to keep my father’s room a single since that is what he preferred. The social worker called a week after my father got home to make sure that his home rehab was going as planned. The facility is older and the food is not fancy but if your goal is to get your loved one back on his/her feet in a caring manner, this is the place! "

"My mom was at Manorcare. It was above average. They did a good job and were very attentive. My mom was in a shared room of a good size. She liked the food. They had good selection of three or four choices for meals every day. My mom never complained about it. They had all kinds of activities, but my mom didn’t participate in them. The people were very good, and that’s important. "

"I am certain that a lot of people would expect to hear horror stories from the care received while in any care facility. Might I first start off, by saying that when I arrived at Garden Spring center, I was just recently declared dead. Again. The previous facility I was in went through this with me on more than one occasion, in the same stay. Please note.. I have a nasty attitude towards authority, and anyone who thinks they know me, better than I do. Of course, when unable to fend for oneself, this becomes exactly the environment I found myself in. From day one, the focus was on recovery. Yes, some of the instructions I was given seemed beyond my capabilities, and I gave them a hassle trying new things for the first time. After all, my confidence was at an all time low... I could not speak correctly, nor could I properly put pen to paper to express my needs. They helped me not only recover, make new friends, and learn how to aid myself in a bad situation (should it arise again), they also watched me WALK out of the facility. They provided me with aftercare specialists, and made sure I had medication enough for the transition to my primary doctor. While in the facility, I noticed each staff member working as hard as they could to get things done. While conversation was not always available, it was because the staff were busy working. All I can say, is I went in dead, and walked out...... without so much as a personal hassle inside. When I call back, I get friendly responses, and many staff remember me, even if I forgot some of them, either due to being near dead, or just a time lapse in my brain. Their conflict resolution is above average in my opinion, as I had many an issue (see above authority issues). They are willing to talk, and negotiate with the needs of the residents, rather than saying it is their way or no way. I can't say how much it means to me, that I went in a lost cause, and now I have life, and the ability to be confident, if I should find myself in a position to be cared for again, that this facility has the means, and the attitude, to send me happy and healthy back to the world I came in from. "

"Southampton Estates would be my choice. The fees start out as a monthly charge that never increases if you move from an apartment to assisted living and to nursing care. The place was very nice. There was a general store in there where people who had apartments could work. They went on trips, golfing, and took them to different facilities. If they had to go to special doctors, they would transport them if they could not drive. It was very nice in there and the apartment was quite large. They had everything, and you get a washer and dryer. They also had a washing area on the floors. It was super, and I really liked that a lot. "
