My mother-in-law is already in Masonic Village at Warminster. It's been very good. They're taking good care of her, and they're attending to her needs. The food is delicious. She likes the food. We've only had problems with one staff member, she and my mother-in-law were butting heads, so they put her on the other side of the building. They transferred her. We have had no problem with any of the other staff. It's a very nice place. It's clean and nice. They have a couple of courtyards, and they have a salon there, they have like a gift shop where they can go and buy things for themselves. There is a lot of stuff there. They're planning trips out, so that's good. She doesn't get to go much because she's very old, but I think it's a nice place. They keep in good communication with us when something happens. They give us an update on how she's doing and things like that. She gets physical therapy right now. But when it runs out for Medicare, it stops. But when she's going to physical therapy, she's thrilled because it's something to do. They have a lot going on there for the people. However, it is very expensive. Do I think the value for the money is worth it? No.

We placed my mother in Masonic Village at Warminster. It is a very nice center, and she likes it there. Obviously, it has secured doors, and there was somebody in the office at the time I first visited. It was really clean, it didn't smell of anything, and it was really neat. Everything was nice. They even have, which I saw a little later, two dogs in there for the people. What nice dogs; a little one and a larger one. They are so friendly, it is unreal. They take care of the people, and the people like them. The staff is very good. They really take care of my mom. Sometimes, she gets really confused, and they take care of her. They have a number of people on their staff, not just a few, and they take care of everything. I am really impressed. My mom has a private room, and it is a good size. I have eaten there, especially at lunchtime, a number of times already, and it is terrific. And the desserts that they give you...wow, I can't believe it! They have a large dining room with circular tables. They have four or five people to a table, and they serve the food: hot meal, desserts, ice cream, and foie salad. And in the middle of this large table they have like a lazy Susan with all kinds of stuff on it like coffee creamers, Jello, and a lot of stuff. From what I have seen, they have a lot of music entertainment, art, painting and so forth, and day crafts. It is really neat. I like what I have seen. I really like it.

My mother with advanced Alzheimer's is in this facility and has been for almost 2 years. I would highly highly recommend it. The caregivers are wonderful. The residents and caregivers have a very strong sense of community and are really my mother's 'family' now. They have a lot of activities and even though Mom is wheelchair bound, she is included and participates in her own way. She smiles at everyone and they talk with her even though she has lost really the ability to get the words out. Roscoe the dog livens up the place and I bring my two dogs on weekends to visit and they liven up everyone even more! The staff is very helpful not only to my Mom but also to my elderly father who visits all the time and is getting increasingly frail. They all worry about him as much as we do. The facility is very clean (as is my Mom) and the food is wonderful. We have meals with Mom on special occasions and they helped with our last birthday party for her. They have also been very helpful with talking through the intricasies of the Medicaid forms with my Dad. I can't think of any place better for my Mom at this stage of her life.
