"I like everything about Lorien Bulle Rock. It's very clean. The staff generally seemed engaged with the patients up there. My mother is there and she really enjoys the food. It's very good and the support staff, especially the social worker up there, has just been fantastic, helping us move through some of the issues when we first moved her there. So, we could not be happier with Lorien Bulle Rock. The nurses seemed very attentive. Their food is excellent. Their cost is certainly not the highest, but certainly not the lowest, so I guess they're right in line with the other care facilities."

"I am so happy I chose Autumn Lake Riverview for my mom to receive rehab there. The entire nursing staff were wonderful. Her room was very spacious and cleaned everyday. She was able to pick her own meals. I feel they were always there to meet herneeds. The entire staff were very friendly and always made me feel welcomed when I came to visit "

"My husband, Joe, was a resident in Tidewater for 10 months. His experience, and mine, was most helpful and loving. I could not have hoped for more. The regular staff were gentle, loving and fun. They carried out their duties with care even though they may have been stressed by a lot of hard work and their own family stresses. I was happy that the staff regularly on duty got to know Joe, his personality, and habits. They kidded with him, made him feel important, and were kind to a dementia patient that could be difficult. Not only was the staff on Tidewater kind and patient, but other supportive staff at Citizens were helpful, watchful, and willing to spend time answering questions and keeping me informed. I could find things to complain about but my focus was finding a facility that did their best to care for a loved one. Thank you, Citizens, I am forever grateful."

"I was at Franklin Woods Center for rehab. Everybody took care of you very well, both medical and dietary exercise. They made sure everything was going well and that you were doing right. If you had any questions, they were right there with you. They were extremely helpful and they took care of everybody equally and without fail. I would highly recommend them. The rooms were always clean and well-maintained. If there was ever an issue, maintenance was on it and got it taken care of right away. They had a good meal. They had a gymnasium; mostly the gymnasium was for therapy. They had a library if you wanted to get a book and read, they had a TV, and you could always go for a walk any time."

"Right now, my dad is at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (Rossville). Some of the nurses gave very good attention. However, some of them completely ignored my dad. They wouldn't even put hearing aids in his ears. There were some great ones and there were some that weren't. The rehab was pretty good. The staff seemed to be quite overworked, so the timing for a response was slow most of the time. Some definitely would be a 5 and some of them were 3 depending on how attentive the people were. We were there every day, so we got an idea of what was going on. My dad was requiring his food to be pureed, and they did a nice job of that. My dad just had no taste. They changed that as he got a little bit better, so that was good. My dad wasn't interested in participating in activities, and very seldom did they come in to ask if he wanted to go or remind him of what was there. He was not getting out of his bed very often or sitting in a chair where he could read the schedule. Nobody was going out of their way to make sure he went. They had an ambulance in front of the building, but they hadn't repaired that in half a year, and that looked bad on the outside. They need a little bit of paint here and there. It's an older facility, but the floors were maintained nicely, and the other rooms were clean."

"My brother is at Future Care NorthPoint. The facility is good. They have dialysis right there. The staff is friendly and patient. Their dining is fine. My brother is just a picky eater. He shares a room, he's got two dressers, and he likes his TV. Maintenance looks fine. Some staff members care more than others."

"My sister-in-law was in Lorien Bel Air. It was very nice and spacious. The staff members were very nice. However, the place was more clinical, and my sister-in-law didn't do much there."

"I am a resident of Complete Care at Heritage. What I like best is the therapy and nursing. Some of the management is being taken over by a new group. I don't know who it is, and ever since I started talking to a new social worker whom I had never met before, and that is when all this stuff started coming up. The staff, you got both ways. You have good, and you have staff that don't want to be there. I have a very hard time with the food. They have new owners who started to fix up new bathrooms and new tiling. So, they're doing the best they can with what they have, and they do keep it clean. The activities are very good. They do a lot for the people. They do whatever they can for the people that cannot do it. They go out of their way. They do exercising, singing, and working out. They put up movies and stuff like that, and on Sunday they have their own church service."

"Bel Air Health & Rehab was a great place for my aunt to begin her recovery after hip surgery. All of the staff and therapy employees were excellent and made her stay go very well. Everyone is friendly, including the other residents. I would recommend the therapy dept for any kind of rehab needed. I live out of state and they kept me well informed of everything that was going on during her stay and with her care. The social worker was also excellent and answered the many questions that I had, and helped to get her to appts and then with transferring her to an assisted living facility."

"I love Cadia Rehabilitation Broadmeadow. My mom was there for six to eight weeks. She loved it. The food was phenomenal. Everything was phenomenal. It was amazing, it's top-notch, and it's a five-star place, but the insurance won't cover it. However, the place was perfect. Doctors, nurses, and therapists, everybody was on point. The room that she got there was beautiful. She was private at the time because it was COVID, and they wouldn't let anybody around at the time. Everything was perfect. The facility is beautiful."

"My friend has moved into Oak Crest. It's a large community, but they do a very good job in sections. There are a lot of offerings for restaurant-type dining. She has a one-bedroom. They have outside areas and they have someone at the desk always for supervision. The staff members are overworked, but they're all pleasant. My friend selected this place because she liked the food and she still likes the food. It's nutritional, but plenty of options are available and nice snacks are available all day that is almost self-service. You can get them yourself or have somebody get them all day long. There are three meals a day if you want them. They will bring you breakfast to your room if you prefer. The facility is quite clean. The assisted living where she is, is quite attractive. It has a very nice common area, and they have some good programs for participation. She needs memory care as well, so she's on the borderline there, but she's managing quite well where she is. She doesn't need a wheelchair or anything like that. They have trivia and music. She doesn't have a great deal of interest in the other things, but I know they have news discussions, field trips, and movies. There have been a couple of good lectures. All the holidays are celebrated. Veteran's Day was a big celebration, which she enjoyed because she was an Army librarian and spent her life working for the U.S. Army, and she was distinguished for her service. They have Christmas tree trimming, cookie baking, and that kind of thing, so it's pretty busy. It's very attractive and great value for the money. The activities director is fantastic."

"My son is now at Autumn Lake Healthcare Post Acute Care Center. It is very nice and clean. The staff members are very nice and very helpful. They have community rooms, a therapy room where they take them down for therapy, a dining area, and an activity room. They play bingo, checkers, and card games and they have a TV where they watch movies. The food is not all that good."

"I visited many places before choosing placement for my mother in law. Most facilities were dirty and had an odor. Not Future Care Chesapeake. The caring staff, amazing rehab department and leadership surpass all others. The building was clean and the staff were always smiling. A bright building and rehab gym. Don't go anywhere else. Future Care Chesapeake offers everything your loved one needs. Caring and Compassion."

"Overlea Health is in a questionable neighborhood but once you get inside, it's OK. The staff was very caring and made sure my grandfather was clean, changed, etc. They did a far better job compared to his previous community, and we were happy with the care that we were getting. The food was average. Sadly, one small accident significantly increased his illness and subsequently, he passed."
