"I would say that the times I have been to Seacrest Assisted Living has been well spent. My grandmother loves it there. There are great activities. The food is not that great but it is not terrible by any means. She loves the activities they provide like bingo and the amenities like a hair salon. I wish they had more quiet areas to walk around with her. "

"I visited my friend her after her knee surgery at the nearby Palomar Hospital and i was impressed. My friend stayed there for 8 days and had everyday therapy, she said the staff are great and the rehab team did amazing with her treatment. i visited my friend at Life Care Vista 4 times and the place smells good and very clean.there is an outdoor patio in the 1st floor where my friend's room was and it was a nice area to spend time and visit with her. i recommend this place base on my friends good experience. "

"We have a family member at this facility ; The space is very clean and without odors. There is always plenty of staff who are willing to go that extra step to improve a resident's health even when the resident resists : The staff charm and humour with a caring touch. The decor is a little dark and dated; the shared rooms small but with a sliding door to a courtyard. "

"Encinitas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was being rehabilitated, so it was very nice and clean. The physical therapy staff was very thorough and worked very well with my father and the other residents. The nursing staff seemed fairly attentive, and they seemed knowledgeable. They had long-term staff that's been there, and I think they had a pretty good attitude considering they had been there for a long time. "

"I've met with the staff that cares for my wife there and they are very friendly and concerned that I am pleased with the way they are providing for her. Its a very friendly feeling when going there and the staff always wants to let me know that they are on my wifes shift. I've seen when my wife couldn't feed herself and one of the staff would sit with her and feed her. My wife has been there for a little over five years and I don't have any complaints. "

"Mom is in Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute. It's so clean, everyone is so professional, it's very organized, and they encourage people to get back to full health. They're like angels. My mom said the food was not as good as the other place, but she can be very picky. When I saw the food, it looked really good. The place is immaculate, beautiful, modern, clean, and very conducive to healing. They even have a garden. They took my mom out and had her do a little gardening as part of her occupational therapy. They have a little car, so they can practice getting in and out of a car. They have rooms set up with kitchens and things that people need to work with at home. They thought of everything. There's a gym. I've seen a putting green. Whatever their activities are, it's part of the overall therapy. The rooms are excellent, very clean, very well laid out, have windows with a view, and it's bright, airy, and cheerful. There should be more of these facilities around because if you're going to get better, this is what you need. If I needed one, I'd want to be there."

"I was at Palomar Continuing Care Center for three weeks. It wasn't really bad. They were pretty good, and the rehab people were fantastically good. They did a good job, as far as I am concerned, because I got back to walking again. The food was alright. The woman in-charge was kind of unpleasant. I had a caregiver who is trained and very knowledgeable, who was working with me at that time, and they wouldn't let him in the place. "

"My husband was in Valle Vista Post Acute for about 2 months from August to October 2023. He was rehabbing from a leg amputation. My husband also has dementia, so it is a complicated situation. The care there was very good, the nurses were attentive, he was kept clean, and his wound care was superb. The most important aspect of the stay for us was the physical therapy. I can't say enough about the physical therapy group, especially Rod, he was caring and took the time to overcome my husband’s muddle mind. My husband came home being able to transfer himself to his wheelchair easily. They also worked with me to help train me on how to transfer him from the bed to the wheelchair, help with how to pick him up if he fell, and how to transfer him to the car. This has made the homecare for him much easier. Although the facility is older, it has been updated and is clean. The view around the facility is beautiful and there are nice areas to take your family members out to see the views."

"We are 9 month residents of Meadowbrook village and very pleased with our choice. Our comments are related to everyday living which has proven a surprise to us. The staff has been a complete surprise since they are more like neighbors and not in anyway distant . The facility is beautiful and much more impressive then expected. our apartment is large, upscale, and again better then expected. But the food, which is superior to any we have eaten in any restaurant , along with the staff are the biggest surprise.. We love them both."

"Redwood Terrace is a good community, they have independent living, and also memory care. It's upscale. They have individual cottages, and the rooms were adequate. The location is convenient to the city of Escondido. The dining area was very good, they and offer three meals a day. They have all kinds of activities, from the local theaters to different kinds of special nights like bingo. They also have music and a piano player who comes in on a regular basis."

"Escondido Post Acute Rehab looked good. There was a lot of staff working there. They were walking around, helping the people in wheelchairs, cleaning and cooking. It's just a busy, busy place. People were coming and going with trash and linen. So, it looked pretty clean to me and nice. The room that we saw and the bathroom in it were very clean. If someone moves out, they have a list of people already waiting for that one bed."

"My husband is in the Life Care Center of Escondido for rehab. The staff is very involved and they follow through well on everything. The facility is really clean and well maintained. The gardens, the hallways are shining and the floors are well-kept. Everything is immaculate all the time. They have an outdoor patio where if the patient can go in a wheelchair, you can wheel him out into the outdoor patio. There's only one downfall to the outdoor patio, and that's if somebody closes the door and you're out there, don't put the little wedge in between the door to keep it cracked open. You're trapped out there. And there's no way to get back into the facility from that patio if the door gets shut behind you, and there's no way to call anybody or anything. There's not a button you could push for a doorbell or anything. You're just trapped out there. They have a therapy room. The communication is very good, they have a great social worker there, and she calls me at home, or we talk when I go to visit him almost every day."
