"We are 9 month residents of Meadowbrook village and very pleased with our choice. Our comments are related to everyday living which has proven a surprise to us. The staff has been a complete surprise since they are more like neighbors and not in anyway distant . The facility is beautiful and much more impressive then expected. our apartment is large, upscale, and again better then expected. But the food, which is superior to any we have eaten in any restaurant , along with the staff are the biggest surprise.. We love them both."

"My mom went through rehab at Life Care Center of Escondido after her stroke, and she’s doing better than she was when she went to the hospital. I was very happy with the people, the service there, and how my mom was reacting to the help. I think they did a wonderful job for her. She had some problems with the food. At the beginning, they were giving her spicy food, but her stomach couldn’t take it. I think this was documented, and it did lighten up on the spices, but the food wasn’t really very good. I believe the care was OK; mom said it was excellent. The facility was clean and well taken care of. The security there at night is not very good. Also, they were missing some of their personal things. "

"I was at Palomar Continuing Care Center for three weeks. It wasn't really bad. They were pretty good, and the rehab people were fantastically good. They did a good job, as far as I am concerned, because I got back to walking again. The food was alright. The woman in-charge was kind of unpleasant. I had a caregiver who is trained and very knowledgeable, who was working with me at that time, and they wouldn't let him in the place. "

"Mom is in Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute. It's so clean, everyone is so professional, it's very organized, and they encourage people to get back to full health. They're like angels. My mom said the food was not as good as the other place, but she can be very picky. When I saw the food, it looked really good. The place is immaculate, beautiful, modern, clean, and very conducive to healing. They even have a garden. They took my mom out and had her do a little gardening as part of her occupational therapy. They have a little car, so they can practice getting in and out of a car. They have rooms set up with kitchens and things that people need to work with at home. They thought of everything. There's a gym. I've seen a putting green. Whatever their activities are, it's part of the overall therapy. The rooms are excellent, very clean, very well laid out, have windows with a view, and it's bright, airy, and cheerful. There should be more of these facilities around because if you're going to get better, this is what you need. If I needed one, I'd want to be there."

"Casa De Las Campanas was excellent. Everything about it was great. The staff was excellent. The rooms were beautiful and large. The food was above excellent and dining facility was off the chart. They had quite a few activities that everyone would be interested in. I liked that they would take care of you for the rest of your life even if you ran out of money. "

"The Remington Health Center (RHC) serves some patients who have been released from hospital-care and need care and rehab for a determined amount of time. There is a smaller group that stays for an extended time, as their needs are forever. My aunt came to the RHC as a post-stroke patient three years ago and became one of the long-term residents. The care and rehab Mary received as a post-hospital patient was of such high caliber that when it was determined her lack of speech and partial paralysis would prevent her from returning to her apartment, it was obvious that remaining as a resident at RHC was the only choice to make. We have never been disappointed in the care and concern the staff showered on Mary--whether the hairdresser, the office staff, the caregivers, or the volunteers. The trips, the entertainment, the special events just add icing to the cake. "

"My mother in law was placed here for about 8 months. We are happy that she was in a private room and close to the nurses station because she can get very agitated and confused at night. We loved that she was under the care of Dr.Mallo, who is so caring g and attentive to his patients! The food was great, our mom was on puree diet and she liked the food and ate almost all of her meals. I liked the big dining room on the second floor, it is bright and has a great view. She became strong and we think that is because she had very good physical therapies. The staff were very caring and attentive to her, if she was ignored it was because they were understaffed and their patient ratios are too high, which I have questioned the social worker and was told it met standards. My complaint is, some of the staff were inattentive of their confused patients and ignored those who are confused and yelling, and some are on their cell phones! Overall, we were happy with the facility and we would use it again if needed."

"Very poor and unprofessional management . Alicia administration office so rude and attitude and very unprofessional i never recommend this place to any elder people."

"My wife was at Poway Healthcare Center. The place was OK, although we had some issues with it. The rooms were adequate, and they have activities like bingo, guitar night, and all kinds of things both local and within the community. They provide three meals a day plus snacks, they do physical and occupational therapy, and they have a gym."

"My father is in Boulder Creek Post Acute. It's very clean, it's nice when you come in the hallway, and they have a nice courtyard outside. The room doesn't smell, but the furniture is a bit outdated, and could be updated. The staff seems relaxed and friendly, and the residents seem well taken care of. It seems like he's getting a good variety of food, his dietician works with us on trying to get him alternate choices, and that's good."

"The Director and his staff were very professional and friendly.The speech therapist, however (by name of Elie, I believe,though good at her trade, was more interested in solving her personal problems (on "company time" than in helping her patients get well. "

"I visited my friend her after her knee surgery at the nearby Palomar Hospital and i was impressed. My friend stayed there for 8 days and had everyday therapy, she said the staff are great and the rehab team did amazing with her treatment. i visited my friend at Life Care Vista 4 times and the place smells good and very clean.there is an outdoor patio in the 1st floor where my friend's room was and it was a nice area to spend time and visit with her. i recommend this place base on my friends good experience. "

"I've met with the staff that cares for my wife there and they are very friendly and concerned that I am pleased with the way they are providing for her. Its a very friendly feeling when going there and the staff always wants to let me know that they are on my wifes shift. I've seen when my wife couldn't feed herself and one of the staff would sit with her and feed her. My wife has been there for a little over five years and I don't have any complaints. "
