"I first visited this facility 1 year ago along with visiting 10 other facilities in San Diego. We were looking for a new home for a parent. After visiting so many facilities I can say this was the best place we visited. It looks like a resort, with a grand entrance, a pool, a boccie court, a courtyard where they have get togethers with all the residents. I have been to a few of their holiday parties where they bring in bands and serve lots of drinks and food. They are really awesome! I have even eaten dinner and lunch there, in the bar and the dining room, many times and the meals and drink are always very good. Pam and Lisa are great. They walked us through the whole process and showed us how to obtain a beautifully designed 2 bedroom unit within a short period of time. Every time I go there I am greeted very well by all of the staff. It is really a great place. If you are looking for a great community to live in, you certainly should visit Silvergate Rancho Bernardo."

"I visited. They gave me a lot of information. They were very nice. I didn't try any of the food, but I did see it and it looked good. The rooms were decent. There was no smell. They were clean. I saw a salon, swimming lessons, an art studio, a place where they held bingo and stuff, and a game room."

"I toured Santianna. It was a fairly new property, I think, within the last five-years. It was very first class, nicely decorated, and had nice amenities. They invited us to come back for lunch at our convenience when it would work for us. The person who gave the tour was very highly experienced. From what I can see, they had quite a few activities and really nice grounds."

"It met what we wanted, but it's pretty far. They seemed to have a fairly large facility. Their chef and their cheesecake were really good. We got a good vibe of the place. The staff I met was great. They need some remodeling and some upkeeping, which they do as vacancies occur."

"What we really liked about Arcadia Place was the fact that you could walk out of your own apartment onto a patio, so you felt more like you were in a house that you could walk out of rather than going through a hallway to the main entrance. The staff was very friendly and interested in us as people. It was really a good tour. We liked the structure of the building, we liked the centralized location of activities within the building, and it was very clean. The rooms were a good size. I especially liked the bathroom. It wasn't just kind of a closet bathroom. It was a nice size."

"Ocean Hills Senior Living has only been opened a few months, and it had a very welcoming, calming feeling from the background classical music throughout the day. The receptionists are very mellow, calm, focused, and professional women. The rooms are a little bit smaller than where my mom was staying before, but the ceilings are very high with bright windows and pleasant window coverings, adequate lighting in the ceiling, wide entryways, and very large bathrooms to accommodate a wheelchair. They also have a kitchenette with a sink, a refrigerator and adequate closets. I'm very impressed with the staff who are caring and qualified, their uniforms are clean, and seem very focused. They ask questions about my mom to make sure they were giving her the care she needed. The chef aims to please the residents, and they are open to suggestions. It's the best food I've ever eaten in a retirement home. They have a lounge where they have entertainment. It's all glass on one side, and French doors open up into a center courtyard, which has a beautiful rose garden. I've sat with my mom for breakfast, and I wish their coffee was hotter. They take them on trips, have a gym, exercise classes, sing-alongs, trivia games, and ice cream social."

"My husband was in Belmont Village of Sabre Springs for three weeks. It's a great place, but my husband was asked to leave because he was falling too many times. Their activities program was the best, and that's what my husband enjoyed. He likes playing cards, Blackjack, poker, current events, and crossword puzzles. It's a great place for someone who does not need one-on-one care. It's clean, and the staff were attentive. It was a good experience. His room was good, and the grounds were beautiful and maintained. "

"We have chosen here for my mom, and she is going to move in soon. It was clean and very modern. It was a nice facility. The person that toured us was great. They have some independent living. They have a game room, a library, a patio, and a dining room."

"After doing a lot of online research, my wife and I decided to look no further. From the time we entered the building for a tour of the facility, we experienced nothing but the best possible feelings from every staff person to the folks living there. James did a superb job of explaining everything, leaving us without the need for any more questions. We look forward to enjoying the long list of programs and services they have to offer."

"Belmont takes pride in all they do! From the care they give to their own residents, to the local communities. I have sent many of my patients to reside there over the years and have heard nothing but positive reviews from all. Take a tour and you will see first hand why they are so amazing! "

"My sister-in-law is staying at Everest at Oceanside. It seems nice. The new owners are very open. They have an excellent full-time nurse, who's been very helpful with my sister-in-law's family. My sister-in-law is very Catholic, and so they offer communion services once a week and spiritual as well as physical kinds of things, and, of course, a lot of social socialization is offered. So those are good things. They have activities all the time. Everything's posted well. They have all sorts of things, from people coming into the game day to movie night to luau parties. They do a lot. They have suites and studio apartments, and my sister-in-law has a studio apartment. It has a small refrigerator and a microwave."

"Westmont of Carmel Valley is a place that I would want to retire to. It is beautiful. It looks very open. It had a lot of beautiful outdoor space. I wanted to sit down and go knit with some of the women who were there. The different places to eat at looked lovely and open. It's a beautiful place where you could just retire and spend your days. It feels more kind of a resort. I liked their bar/bistro area where you could just sit for the day with a drink or a snack. It was big and bright. The downside was the price, because you have to pay for that beauty, and it's definitely on the high end, but if you had the money, that would be a wonderful place for you to go."

"We visited Vi at La Jolla Village. It's a deluxe, high-end facility. We liked the fact that it had all the levels of care included in the initial monthly fee as opposed to some of the facilities where you pay extra for other levels of care. We are looking for something walkable, and it's not very walkable. There's a major shopping center there, but it's very difficult to get into the village from there. That's the principal downside for us. We met the marketing staff, who were very personable and pleasant. We had an excellent meal there. They had two meals a day. The apartments were beautiful. One of the things we wanted was a fireplace, and they didn't have fireplaces, but the apartments were very well done. They modify them each time a new person comes in. They're in beautiful shape, and it's a large facility with 700 units, so they have a lot of services."

"We toured Belmont Village La Jolla. They were nice. It's too expensive and too much of a commute for my brother. They had activities. The food was great. They had a courtyard. They had views. They had all kinds of interactions with the residents. They had outings for the residents. They were just wonderful. The rooms were big and spacious, and the studios were wonderful."
