"My first impression of the facility was that it was kept in pristine condition. The whole facility was upscale and very clean, I visited around lunch time and a caretaker was preparing a stove cooked lunch. I would recommend taking a look at this facility to anyone. "

"Hillside Garden II was very clean, professional, and very safe. The staff was attentive, kind, patient, and very understanding of the situation. They were not pushy. It was a residential board and care home with four bedrooms that were remodeled to accommodate wheelchairs and hospital beds. It just wasn't exactly what we needed at this time."

"My mother-in-law is in Las Villas Del Norte. All the people are very nice. I think that it's very expensive compared to the way nicer ones, but I'm very happy with it. I love the staff. They really care. They have a very good staff there. They feed her well. They have plenty of things for them to do. If she wants to come out of the room they help. Everybody helps. They don't let her stay in bed. They take her out. They keep us up-to-date if anything is changing. They can still improve the quality of food and one-on-one attention. It's clean, but it could always be cleaner. It's very expensive, but it costs a lot of money to have someone in a memory home. I'm not disappointed or happy. California is very expensive, and the regulations make it very expensive."

"A dear friend of mine is now a resident at Ocean Hills Senior Living in Oceanside, California. this independent living facility is beautiful. They have a gym, pool, and daily activities which keep all the residents engaged and happy. Their restaurant has a very diverse menu which also changes daily. The food is very good and their staff and chef are aways on hand to help in any way they can. Bill, their maintenance director, as well as the entire staff should be commended for their thoughtfulness and work ethics."

"Alex and his team at Golden Retreat in Vista cared for my 94-year old Father. They were kind and attentive to his needs. They provided my Father with the physical and emotional memory care that he needed and helped to reduce his anxiety. Alex has a real rapport with my Father. Alex, Donna, and their staff are very observant regarding any health issues and were excellent at letting me know right away. The facility is very clean, comfortable, and home-like and there is a nice patio that my Father enjoyed on sunny days. The menu is developed by their on-staff dietitian and is nutritious and really good. My Father clearly enjoyed the meals that they served. I am so grateful for the care that Alex, Donna and their staff gave to my Father. "

"I went to the Gardens at Escondido. I liked it a lot, and it had a little larger room, but they didn't have balconies or patios. The help was top-notch. The person I talked to gave me a lot of really good information, took his time, and was very patient. I have no complaints at all. It was just a different setup. I did not try the food, but I got the menus, activity lists, schedules, and walked through the dining room. The options looked wonderful. They had several outdoor areas that were smaller and not enclosed by the entire building, so they were kind of walled off from the outside. They had covered areas, one was on the second floor, and it had a barbecue area, and another was a garden area. Those were very nice, but they are behind a retail strip. So even though you're up above the street noise, you're looking out at building rooftops. It's also on a busy intersection. That would be the only drawback for me, but they were still very nice. It wasn't bad as far as the noise goes when I was there; it's just different."

"La Marea is a beautiful place with lovely views and beautiful spaces! I toured and Gabby did a wonderful job giving us the information we needed. La Marea looks more like a five-star hotel than an assisted living facility! Definitely worth checking out."

"My visit at Sunrise at La Costa was excellent. The woman in-charge was very informative and helpful. She knew that we would not be able to choose their facility, but she was very helpful. The people there were very nice. "

"We chose here for my father because it looked really nice. The dining room is nice, it's a large enough place, and they have a lot of activities. The staff is very qualified, including the nurses and the med techs. They are very friendly. They have independent, assisted living, and Alzheimer's units. They have a lot of activities, an exercise room, a singer comes in once a week, there are church services, a library, and a nursing area. The food I had was good."

"The Redwood Town Court assisted living community assisted living facility was recommended by friends in the region as an option for our aunt. The outside area resembled that of a high-end, well maintained resort. The stunning pool was the focal point of a private back area that was lovely and refreshing. The center graced a fountain, reminiscent of a palatial estate. The airy interior was very nicely designed and there were gorgeous views throughout. There was bright light everywhere. Because the weather is so mild in San Diego, the residents may enjoy walks along the beach and spend time outdoors year round. The residents enjoy outdoor yoga, swimming and aerobics classes. There is also equipment available indoors for those who desire it. Seniors are encouraged to enjoy physical activity daily. The dining areas offered the kind of meals that could be found in five star restaurants. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus included food options for all kinds of diets. Private units featured beautifully decorated surroundings, all with very nice views and a lot of light. All had a great deal of fresh air, through very large windows. San Diego offers everything a person could want in the way of relaxation, but also includes cultural fare such as fine dining, art and many interesting activities. The staff appeared to accommodate all levels of ambulation. The seniors appeared content here, with just the amount of care and attention they deserve and need. "

"Redwood Terrace is an older facility, but it's not a problem. They have expert care there. The people there who take you around are very friendly, and experienced in running a facility like that. They have a vast staff that really looks out for the people's medical requirements, and they seem to be very good. The lunch that we had there was very good, and presentable. They have a pretty extensive library, a gift shop, and an exercise room. "
