"My wife was in the center following a heart attack and horrible treatment at another facility. The nursing care is very good, Amanda, the charge nurse was excellent. The wound care was excellent. Christopher and Tim the cnas were very polite and attentive.My wife has been in 4 care facilities in north county and this was , by far the best. Laraine even liked the food. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Vista Life Care!! "

"I was able to visit Juehm Residential Care, and this facility is very nice and clean also. They offer care for bathing, dressing, and med management as well. The staff were very nice and accommodating, so it was a very good experience. I saw a shared room as well as a private room. "

"Redwood Terrace is a good community, they have independent living, and also memory care. It's upscale. They have individual cottages, and the rooms were adequate. The location is convenient to the city of Escondido. The dining area was very good, they and offer three meals a day. They have all kinds of activities, from the local theaters to different kinds of special nights like bingo. They also have music and a piano player who comes in on a regular basis."

"I currently have a loved one staying at Palomar Vista Healthcare Center. The facility is a bit outdated, but the level of service, care, and profesionalism is amazing, makes you overlook the fact the facility is a bit old. I have seen first hand how the staff cares for thier patients/residents and it is something that is very awarding to see, especially when it is for our elderly. I read the most current reviews and do not understand what they've experienced as it is the complete opposite of my experience with my loved one currently there. I want to applaud all of the staff at Palomar Vista Healthcare for their hard dedication, and work."

"I had great care after back surgury,plus my mother is there and gets great care,everyone knows her name and her medical problems and keep a good eye on her.The rooms are a great size so she can have her own furnishings around her not like a box hospital room. "

"My husband is in the Life Care Center of Escondido for rehab. The staff is very involved and they follow through well on everything. The facility is really clean and well maintained. The gardens, the hallways are shining and the floors are well-kept. Everything is immaculate all the time. They have an outdoor patio where if the patient can go in a wheelchair, you can wheel him out into the outdoor patio. There's only one downfall to the outdoor patio, and that's if somebody closes the door and you're out there, don't put the little wedge in between the door to keep it cracked open. You're trapped out there. And there's no way to get back into the facility from that patio if the door gets shut behind you, and there's no way to call anybody or anything. There's not a button you could push for a doorbell or anything. You're just trapped out there. They have a therapy room. The communication is very good, they have a great social worker there, and she calls me at home, or we talk when I go to visit him almost every day."

"This place was amazing. I had my father here for a couple weeks. The care was great but the staff were even better! I can’t say enough great things about the rehab team. Anthony the physical therapist was great and so was Doug! The administration was amazing. The administrator was very helpful in helping us with any issues or concerns we had. Very pleased."

"My mom was here in October of last year. She had excellent care. All the staff was very attentive to her needs. They were aware that this hospitalization was really hard on my mom and our family. They went out of their way to help us with things like doing a will, helping fill out long term care insurance paperwork. Things that other facilities have told us we have to do ourselves. They were all superb "

"I have taken care of four elderly relatives over the last 8 years. So I have seen assisted living, hospitals,home health and other skilled nursing. Though the rooms are a bit small, this place is the best I have seen. The staff are friendly, attentive and hard-working. The CNA's take an interest in each patient and the social worker helped me through the maze of insurance and technical issues. The physical therapy was as Dr ordered and state of the art. My father in law spent over a month here and is in the best shape I have seen him for the past five years. The staff encouraged him to do his best, celebrated with him and made each session fun. Also, the nurses noticed that the hospital made mistakes on his medications and walked me through the procedures to get his meds back on track. Thank You!"

"My husband is in Bayshire Carlsbad. They put him in skilled nursing until about three weeks ago and they moved him into assisted living. They're a good bunch of people. It's clean. The staff seems fine both in the skilled and assisted. I've got no problems with the care. They have programs. He says he gets more than enough to eat. He had been in there a year and a half ago for six months. When I walked in this time, the lady at the front desk where you signed in still remembered me from before. The staff is there helping other people. They seem to have big enough staff and they let people bring their pets. They provide entertainment. Everybody seems happy. The nurses and aides are all very nice."

"Seacrest Village at Encinitas Leichtag Foundation Campus provides exceptional support. They have the whole spectrum of care. We are in independent living right now, but in the future, the care we need is right here on the campus. The staff is very well trained and very supportive and they provide reliable service. It's great. They're short-staffed like everybody else. They can't get the help that they want, but the people who are here are doing a very great job of trying. They all work hard and are very accommodating. We have a dining room and the food is very good. It's healthy and well-prepared. It's kosher. So, that restricts the food and you have to follow kosher rules. There's a full gym, an indoor swimming pool, classes, game rooms, and structured lectures. Just the standard, but it's pretty well done. It's an older population so it's geared towards that age group."

"I was concerned about handling the caring of my wife when I felt it was time for her to require dementia care. Well, it turned out that I should not have worried. Here at Casa de las Campanas they have a great program called "Heartfelt Connections" that provides specialized, personalized care for residents with Alzheimer's and other memory-impairing dementias. Their cognitive therapies recognize the importance of both the resident needing care, as well as the family learning how to deal with the emotional issues. I am sure glad we chose Casa as the place to live in our retirement years."

"My mother-in-law has been in Encinitas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for about two weeks now. It is a clean, well-managed place with lots of good care and good food. We are pretty happy with it. We chose it because it is close to us, and it has good reviews. I will highly recommend them because their overall care is good, and they have a good staff. "
