Arcadia Place is one of the places I really liked. The one that they showed me was a studio on the ground floor and it had an exterior door to the parking lot. For me, this would be very good. It had water damage though, and it's not going to be available for another month to 90 days. It's just one of the few that they have there, but it's a very large area for that type of place. It has a little kitchenette, which is good. It's about 500 square feet, which is a pretty good size for one room. The other thing is there's a zero community fee. There are no additional charges, but the cost is a little high for me. It's $2700. The staff was very good. I didn't get the person that I initially talked to, but that worked out OK. The manager showed me the place, but when I called him back about availability, that's when they told me that they had water damage. A lot of other people were affected as well, so they have to do some repair. The cleanliness and structure of the building were very good. You walk into kind of like the initial area right there. It's like a meeting room, and there are offices along the way, and then on the ground floor, there's a large community room and the eating area, which is kind of restaurant style.

I visited here. The tour was friendly, and they were very gracious. The rooms and the grounds were nice. The person who gave me the tour was very caring and down to earth. The people who were living there seemed happy. I only looked at a 1-bedroom. This was a vacant room, there was no furniture. The rooms were very bright. There was a lot of light coming from the windows, and it had a nice terrace. They had a beautiful courtyard and a cute little coffee corner. The dining room was very nice, and because it was on the second floor, it was all windows. It had views of the courtyard which made it very light and pretty. When I was there, I think it was on a Friday night, and they were having a movie night or music. It was in a larger room, like an event room or a gathering place.

It was a happy facility. The residents were active. The administrators were right there for them, and they provide you with everything you need. It's clean. They had beautiful grounds and lots of activities. One of their best features was in the back of the facility where they have this huge rose garden with tables, benches, a pergola, and a little gardening area. So, people can go, sit, and enjoy the outdoors. Plus, there's a sidewalk that goes around the entire facility where people can just walk safely around in this beautiful garden setting. It's really very nice. My mom will have a small kitchenette in her apartment and quite a large bathroom with all of the necessary safety facilities, such as the handrails and the safety button you can push if you need help. Each room has its own small balcony, which is really nice, and just enough space for a little chair and a table. The dining area was large and clean. It was a nice atmosphere. They had a piano in there, so it felt like you were at a restaurant.
