"Mom is in a studio apartment at Elmcroft of Las Villas. We like the people who work there and we like how they care for the residents. They were friendly and kind. I also like the cleanliness of the facility. It had a nice fresh smell and their lighting is pretty good. It has an outdoor area that is lovely with grass and trees near the swimming pool. Their dining room is pretty and we like their food. They have a selection where if you don’t want what is being served, you can select from several sandwiches and several salads. They have a salad bar and a soup bar. They do some activities, like they go on scenic drives, attend concerns, and go on walks to several parks. The facility has a happy feeling to it. "

"I toured Westmont of Escondido. They were pretty much all-inclusive as far as my needs were. I liked all their facilities. It was well taken care of. The man I spoke with mentioned that a lot of the staff have been there for a long time, and that's good, too."

"I like the layout at WellQuest of Menifee Lakes. The rooms were beautiful. It seems like it's very well run and organized, but I didn't see a lot of people out. I liked that they have a bocce court and a pool. They have their special craft rooms and things like that. When I was there, I didn't see anybody out except for one lady. I thought that was a little unusual. I would like to see more social interaction; that's the main reason for getting our parents in there. They have a little dog park, and they were going to hold a room if we wanted it. It was a room that was near the end where the dog park is. I really was impressed with Michael, who runs that place. He is their director. We like the location. It's central for my husband and I, as well as my brother-in-law and his wife in Canyon Lake. It had all the amenities. I just want to see people engaging. It's also very new. The chef came out and introduced himself. He told me what they were planning and adding to their menu. The staff who toured me was great. He answered all my questions. He did follow-up calls and follow-up texts. The place is beautiful. It has everything you could need. I also interacted with the staff in their physical therapy room. I spoke with a couple of people there. They seemed quite happy and quite personable. The physical therapy staff was very friendly and very accessible."

"It was fine. There was nothing wrong with it, but my mom wanted to stay in Mission Viejo. Really nice facility. The rooms are great. The facility is great. The food smells good. The dining area is like a hotel. They were watching movies, playing games, playing cards, and doing exercises. It's by a hospital. There's a strip mall, but not a regular mall close by. "

"I went to Sun City Gardens. I chose Sun City because of the location, and the facility is very nice. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. We had lunch, it was very good, very well prepared, and well served. They offer a salon, a gym, and transportation."

"Our Dad had a stroke in early May 2023 and at 94 lost his ability to walk and take care of himself. We live in Encinitas, so wanted him to be close to us. After going to look at several Assisted Living/Independent Living Facilities we were quite surprised to find that Westmont Of Encinitas was far superior than all the others and actually was quite less in cost. The facility is just slightly over two years old and the staff is friendly, food is great and the activities are plentiful. Just in a short 2 months he is walking on his own, living in his great bright 1 bedroom apartment and going to Bridge 3 times a week, going to Ice Cream socials, and exercising and building his strength up with their great Physical Therapists. We brought him down from Costa Mesa to Westmont of Encinitas on May 25, 2023 and he is thriving in such a short time. I would highly recommend Westmont of Encinitas for any loved one. Our father is happy and social and healthy now. This facility is a 5 Stars for sure."

"I toured Belmont Village Cardiff by the Sea. The staff was wonderful on the tour. The thing I liked least was the price, but everything else was good. They had a library, a gym, and game rooms. They had classes and all of those things were very appealing. The staff was knowledgeable. They can answer all your questions. They were able to give you a really good tour and a feel of the community there. We had lunch there, but the food was bland. It's hard to eat and it was not good."

Our senior residential living community is impressively atypical from the others in its care facility classification; i.e. the excellent, available food is provided at two restaurants; the property provides a beautifully landscaped, spacious courtyard, swimming pool and Club House. Inside this warm, inviting community we all find amenities to fit our diverse desires. These amenities include a hair salon, fitness center, theatre, game lounge, art studio, yoga studio, spa, socials, and clubs, just to name a few. Relocating to a community such as Silvergate Rancho Bernardo was a big life decision for us. However, this decision was made a lot easier when ALL of the existing residents we met (some of whom we knew) had nothing but the highest praise for the community, its amenities and staff. And speaking of staff, the patience, compassion, responsiveness and professionalism of the marketing team was exemplary in ensuring our comfort from the initial introduction to Silvergate through the entire consideration and move-in process. They, along with all of the other on-site staff, are great ambassadors for Silvergate Rancho Bernardo and all it offers us, as residents! "I'm at here. It is close to my family, it looks nice, and the price includes utilities and DirecTV. It is a little bit pricey, but it is cheaper than regular apartments around here. The move-in experience is fine. The staff members are very nice. They have activities, but I work during the day and the activities are all during the day. They have an exercise room that has some equipment ithat I can be using, but I'm not. I tried the food, and it was high-cholesterol and high-fat stuff for breakfast, so that was the last meal I've had there. I cook for myself. The building is OK. It's a two-story building with a common patio and a garage on the first floor as well. It's nice-looking and clean. They have free laundry. They have a patio where you're invited to plant plants if you want. With regards to the food, I asked if they had an egg white omelet and they said, 'No we just had eggs and cheese,' so we have cholesterol issues. The food doesn't look like it's what you need. I don't eat there and it's also expensive. The layout is fine. The elevators are sometimes slow, but they seem to be better recently."

"My husband moved to MorningStar of Mission Viejo. The interior organization there, they communicate well with each other. The management style is excellent. They communicate well between each department, so it's a very soft touch, but they pay attention to the information about their clients. The facility is great. It's interesting. It's a small building. It's not one of the biggest, most extravagant buildings that I've seen, but the staff is great. The food is amazing. The food is excellent. They do a good job there. My husband is a little reserved. He's not quite interested in that part of things, but it looks like they have a lot going on. They have an outreach program where they're working with the Saddleback Emeritus programming, and they're introducing some classes at their facility through Emeritus."

"My visit was very pleasant at Park Terrace. I thought it was very nice. It had a very pleasant layout. There was a lot of acreage. The people and the dining room seemed very nice. I think the dining room was spacious, as I recall. No complaints about it at all. "

"Westmont of Carmel Valley is a place that I would want to retire to. It is beautiful. It looks very open. It had a lot of beautiful outdoor space. I wanted to sit down and go knit with some of the women who were there. The different places to eat at looked lovely and open. It's a beautiful place where you could just retire and spend your days. It feels more kind of a resort. I liked their bar/bistro area where you could just sit for the day with a drink or a snack. It was big and bright. The downside was the price, because you have to pay for that beauty, and it's definitely on the high end, but if you had the money, that would be a wonderful place for you to go."
