Kind-er Care Assisted Living Home seems like a friendly, great community. Memory care seems safe and secure, and it seems updated. They have pets on the site, so it helps the residents feel at home and have companionship. They have a garden area. The staff seemed very friendly. The girl who helped us right away was very attentive because the person who would give us the tour wasn't there yet. The facility was typical. It felt more like a nursing home than what I kind of was hoping, but it was very clean and updated, had lots of different options for the residents, and different areas for them to gather in. We did not try the food, but we looked at the menu and it just seemed like they had a good variety and they were willing to work with each resident. My mom, for example, doesn't like to be up during the day and she likes to sleep more in the morning and afternoon and then be up in the evening. They were very accommodating that she could have food when she was awake and they would accommodate her schedule. It smelled good, and the kitchen area was clean.

We had an in-person tour of Kinder Care Assisted Living Homes. I liked the rooms. You furnish the room yourself to your liking. They all had private bathrooms, which is great. The facility was very clean. The people sat down and ate when we were there. The staff was very nice. She was very accommodating and answered the questions we had. Everything was great. The people were great. The dining area was OK. They were all sitting at one long table. It reminded me of a family style cafeteria. They had tours. They play games. They had a hot tub and a swing out door for easy access, which was really nice. They have different types of things available. They have barbecue grills for more in the summertime, and a screened-in porch, which looks pretty nice.

Kind-er Care Assisted Living Home offers more like a bedroom and commune type of living. It was more like a family setting. The building looked fairly new and didn't seem like it was that old. There were also activities going on when we were there. I think for the right people, it would be a good choice, but it wasn't at all what my in-laws were looking for and if they have family and friends visiting, it would have been hard to find a place where you could separate yourself from all the other people living there.

Kind-er Care Assisted Living Home is a beautiful facility, very clean, but it was too small for my mom and dad. They're a little more active than most of those people that were there in the facility, so they're just looking at something bigger to get more involved. They have the activities and stuff, but it's not getting to know too many people because it's so small. Otherwise, it was perfect. It would have been perfect for me because it's close to my home. The dining area was wonderful. It was very spacious and clean. Their kitchen is very large. They encourage the residents if they want to help cook, they can help cook. They play games all the time. If someone wants to play cards, they get a card game going, and if someone wants to do a puzzle, there's a puzzle on the table. There's TV, too.
