What I like the best about The Joyce is the location. What I like the least is the outside noise level because the freeway is right outside my window. And I don't like the fact that there are amenities that they say we're supposed to have that we do not have access to. The residents do not have access to the media room and the community lounge. It is limited to when we can use it. It's not open on the weekends. It's not open unless the office is open. It's not even ours. It's basically for management to have meetings. Their meetings take priority over the residents. They have board games. At Thanksgiving, they had dinner, and at Christmas, they had a dinner, but that's it. The rooms are nice, roomy, and comfortable, but the noise problem is the problem. We're right across the street from the freeway. There's no dining area. The only dining area would be the community room where you can go in and have coffee and tea, but we're limited as to if and when we can even go in the room. We're told that we are monitored and if we go in too often, then our access will be taken away. Parking is another issue as well.
