We moved into Holiday Carmel Place. They have guidelines and procedures that we try to stay within. We enjoy the people here and the employees as well. They seem to be very friendly, outgoing, and eager to help. They have all kinds of card games, board games, and puzzles. Everything was easy to access. They have game tables set up in the hallways near elevators. It's pretty easy to mix in with other people who have been here a while. The facility is fairly old, but they are due for a remodel within the next two or three months, which will be very interesting to see. My wife and I decided to move up here because we were going to be much closer to her family.

I have toured Holiday Carmel Place. They had very nice apartments, although the rooms were a little small. They had quite a few amenities and gathering spaces, and the guests seemed comfortable there and they were friendly. They do things like bingo, they have entertainment in the evenings, and they have various musical guests and entertainment. There are card rooms and a man cave where they can just gather and watch TV together. The dining area was very nice and clean and offers a lot of options for each meal. I think the rent is a tad high for what is offered, I think it could be better pricing.

I moved into Carmel Place and it's great. It's roomy, clean, has good food, and it's a great facility. The staff is very, very helpful, they have everything and anything. We get three meals a day, exercises, games, and amenities like a library. It's unbelievable. They have activities every day, morning and night and I don't think you could find better for much less. Just come and take a tour and I think you'll be happy. They have full apartments, 1-bedrooms, and 2-bedrooms, they're beautiful and have everything you need except for a stove and dishwasher.

We toured Carmel Place. I went to the dining room, the living room, and a unit over there inside. I talked to people. They have a studio, a one-bedroom, a two-bedroom. The size is perfect. They're not too big and they're not too small. We went to the one-bedroom. They have a little kitchen and a bathroom. I love that so much. They have an outside back over there, so if you don't want to go downstairs, you can just directly open the door. The staff introduced the living area, a game room, an eating room, and a dining room there. They have group activities, and they go outside for walks.

Carmel Place has been amazing. They are superb. They give you details about what you need to do when you move in and when my mother moved there, everyone came and was very welcoming. They helped her and showed her around the place. They have assigned an ambassador to her that will get her familiar with the place, and that's a big deal. They do independent living, but you can also purchase services a la carte. Like if she needs help, they will provide people. So, that's very nice. They have games and movies, too. And now that the pandemic is over, they're going to start doing outings again.

I didn't like Carmel Place. It looked like it was old folks' home. There were people just sitting around. It didn't look like they had anything to do. The apartments weren't that big, and they looked old instead of being updated. I wouldn't move anybody in there. As my friend and I were leaving the place, a young lady stopped us. Her mother was in that place, and she didn't particularly like it. It was closer to where they live (that's why she was there), but she didn't particularly like it either. She said the staff was not friendly, and it was like being in a nursing home. I didn't see any activity there. Some of the residents were just sitting around, and it didn't look like there was anything to do. They said something about karaoke. The staff showed us the apartment on the first floor. It was an old fashioned apartment. The closet wasn't big, and the cabinets were old fashioned. Inside the cabinet, they had a paper liner in there. I wouldn't live there, and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody else. I only met two people there.

Carmel Place was a nice place, and I liked it. I like the living situation there, but my mom chose the nicer apartment at the another community. One thing she didn't like about Carmel Place is they didn't have a washer in her room. She would have had to go outside to do her laundry, or somebody would need to do her laundry. It was one of the big factors. The people who work there were very nice and very helpful. I like them a lot. It was probably my first choice. I like the feel of the place, where she didn't have to go outside to get something to eat. I like that meals are included, and I like everything about it pretty much. My mom says that the apartment here was older, and the apartment she has in the other place is nicer. The staff was great. The lady that helped us was very nice. The facility was fine, except that it was a little older and the kitchen was small (which I understand because they have 3 meals). They showed us all around. They showed us the apartment, where they eat, the garden where they did stuff, and it was all very nice. I love the outside area. It was well-taken care of. The cafeteria was nice, where the people were eating. It just seemed like it had a lot more to offer, as far as stuff that was included and stuff that's cheaper. It was good value for the money. They were gonna have a pizza party that night when we were there.

Carmel Place seemed very nice. Everybody's friendly and clean, and we liked it. The layout is nice. They have a dining room, an area for games, puzzles, and TV. A nice little lobby too. It was good. I was able to see the menu and it was great. The rooms were nice and they had everything that you'd need.

Carmel Place is an older building, but it is in a nice setting. The facilities were adequate but because of COVID, I don't think we got a full picture of what it would be like in the normal times in terms of activities and how active people were. We saw a library, a private-dining area, and a common area used for exercise (but it's not a dedicated room for exercise). The grounds are somewhat limited in terms of having a walking area; they did not have as much as we had hoped. The dining room was fine. They also offer three meals a day.

I chose Carmel Place because of the price of the rent. There are also laundry rooms on every floor, so everything is easy and terrific. I will be moving in in a matter of weeks. It's independent living, but they have a nurse there who will take care of things for you for an extra fee. There are a lot of services involved; it's excellent. I found the gentleman who took me on a tour to be wonderful, as well as a few other people who worked there, and even the people who live there would say hello. It was just great. Most of the rooms have a facility to cook a little something, and if you don't want what they are serving, you can have what you purchase yourself, so there are options, which is another reason why I like the place. The facility itself was very nice.

My relative loves Carmel Place. He's in the independent living, but he gets assistance that he pays for. The staff is great. They are super. He likes the food. Right now, they're not eating together, but they have it situated where they can eat together with some distance. The tables are spaced out, and the groupings are spaced out from each other. His room is large, he has a queen size bed and a dresser, and he can put a couch and a chair. It's just one big room with a bathroom and a kitchenette. It's got a closet, pantry, linen closet and clothes closet, and a nice sized bathroom that if he was in a wheelchair, he could turn around in it, and he has cable TV. They have a music room, a game room, a barber shop, a sitting lounging area downstairs, and I love that each hallway has a street name. It's exceptionally clean. First thing you do when you go in, you wash your hands and they do the assessment of your temperature and everything, and the questions. He loves listening to music downstairs, someone plays the piano, and sometimes they have a vocalist that sings for them. It's exceptional. Everybody that I talk to, when I tell them where my relative is at, they say it's a great place. I highly recommend them. The people that live there are enjoying it. I see them sitting on their little patios and husbands and wives walking on the grounds hand-in-hand.

We loved Carmel Place. I haven't gotten over there for the second visit yet though. The staff was wonderful, very professional, very warm, and welcoming. The facade was very nice. The dining area was very clean and very nice, and their dining staff was nice. The rooms were very nice, well kept, and very spacious. Because of the pandemic, they didn't want to go down to eat. Most people were eating in their rooms, and they had that set up. It was really nice. I loved the painting, the artwork, and the furnishings. They had a nurse on-staff that would help residents with memory issues or anything else going on. They called back to follow up and I have spoken to them numerous times. They're very helpful in trying to get my friend moved. The facility was well kept and well manicured.

Thanks to Ken (maintenance guy) for keeping everything running! Very friendly place and a great value! THANK YOU!

My mother just moved into Carmel Place. We can add levels of help that she might need. We've added hospice support for her, which started the day she moved in. The food is absolutely delicious. There's quite a range of activities such as art, music, seasonal celebrations, and church services. Everyone is getting different levels of assistance even though they call it independent. There are some people there in wheelchairs and are very challenged, and they receive extra support. It's rather pricy.

The people at Carmel Place seemed very nice, and the staff was very welcoming. It's part of a chain, and we don't want that. The size of the place was about right, but we would want to stick with a non-commercial facility. It was pleasant, but it looked too much out on the road, and it was not as appealing as the other places we looked at. They had a person doing music while we were there.

Carmel Place is extremely nice. I like it very much and it's a very fine community. The cleanliness is very good. They'll do housekeeping weekly, including changing the bed linens. They offer three meals a day. They will provide transportation if you need to go to doctors' appointments. I had a meal there and it was a very good meal. It was a restaurant-style situation. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They have all the answers that you might need. I looked at a 2-bedroom and it was very spacious. The one I liked the best would be an unusual floorplan because I happen to like unusual things. There's a very large balcony. Some of the apartments have kitchens.

Carmel Place was very nice. The only thing I didn’t like was that they had specific times to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They served all three meals which was great, but you have to be there at specific times when they serve the meals. The rooms were very nice, and the place was so upbeat. The residents were very friendly, and they were very happy with the place.

Carmel Place was nice. The staff and the residents we met were nice and welcomed us into the community. The major turn-off for Mom was that the average age of the residents were a lot of older than she is.

Carmel Place really needs a lot of work. They had activities like card games and bingo, a hairdresser on-site, and a big pool table area. Their food came with the normal rent. I know that the staff had a high turnover in the past several years. It did not feel warm and cozy, and they had buckets around catching water. My mother actually lived at Carmel Place for a little while, so I have seen all kinds of things there, which is one of the reasons why we decided not to go back there when we were looking for a place.

We liked Carmel Place a lot. The living quarters are very good but a lot more expensive than other places. The staff members were charming. We were very impressed. The rooms had a mini kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, a sitting area, and a nice bedroom, but it was on the third floor. When we were there, there was a singing group that entertained. They also went out to a restaurant recently and saw the lights. They had a room where they played bingo. They were very friendly, followed up with phone calls and seemed to be doing an excellent job. They had a very nice dining room for the residents.

Carmel Place was very nice. It's not brand spanking new because some of the carpets need to be replaced here and there. We saw 3 model rooms, and they were nice and spacious, and most of them have full kitchens and closet space. Even the studio was very spacious. They include all 3 meals, housekeeping, and linen, and they have lots of activities and field trips going on. They have aging in place, and if you need assistance with dressing or bathing, you can contract with outside people to come in, and there's so many who come in to help residents. You can even contract for help for just 15 minutes a day. The help is there even though it's independent; it's very reasonable, and it's cheaper than going up in the level care in assisted living.

Carmel Place was very warm and friendly, and the patients were all happy. I thought it was like a big family. The staff was beautiful and great. My mother wanted to stay there, but she has to get stronger. I’ve seen their rooms, and they were a nice size. The dining area was very nice, like a restaurant.

Carmel Place was really nice. The people were friendly, the food was good, the apartments were nice, but it’s just not what I needed. I’m looking for a place that has a washer and dryer and is not like an apartment building. It’s clean, and it has everything you would want if you wanted to live in that kind of place. From what I understand, they have a line up of things for people to do to keep them from being bored. The people that manage the place was a husband and wife team. I talked to both of them, and they do a very good job.

I had a quick walk through Carmel Place. From the looks of it, it looked nice and clean. They also have activities. It’s a big facility. I did visit Carmel Place -- which is not something that meets my mother’s needs at all -- but if it did, I was impressed with it. The facility was very nice and spacious, and the rooms were nice. I talked to several different people at my visit and over the phone later, and they were very detailed with me and gave me a lot of information. The people were very helpful, professional, and answered all of my questions. They seemed genuinely interested in the residents.

I came very close to going in Carmel Place. I called to set up an appointment, and they invited us for lunch. I made two visits total. The staff was lovely. They were all just as wonderful as they could be. The food was outstanding. I was looking at an apartment for one person, and the one I really liked had some upgrades in it. It was where a manager had lived previously. It was on the first floor off to the side, and there was a balcony out there. They were quite generous on waving some of the fees for me, but I just could not make that kind of financial commitment.

I was really impressed with Carmel Place. I am very happy, and mom's happy too. It has all worked out. The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and caring about the residents. Some of the residents have been there for a while, and they are very happy. The food is really good. It's close to the mall, shopping center, grocery store, and doctors. It has a very good location. They have bingo and tours, and they bring in entertainers. There's always someone in the lobby, and they have two-member staff 24/7. They shut the doors between 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. You can only get in if you either ring the doorbell or have a card.

My dad is in Carmel Place. The feel, the look, and the sanitation are good. The rooms and apartments are good as well. The residents have their own kitchenette. The staff is good. They have activities like bingo, movies, and games. The only two problems we have are the food and the transportation which are both terrible. There is not much of a variety of food, and they said they provide transportation, but they don?t.

Carmel Place is a very independent facility. Everybody keeps to themselves. Everyone is active and somewhat friendly. They have good-sized apartments. Food is decent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is relatively convenient because it is near hospital and the interstate. Its environment is relatively homey. Overall, it is a good facility. It is very adequate for what we wanted.

My mom has already found a place. It is a senior independent living facility called Carmel Place. My mom has a fixed income so she can't afford anything more expensive than this facility. We have also come across this through the internet. The highlight for this facility is the cleanliness, the security and the quality of the meals there. The staff is very caring and thorough.

Carmel Place is a Holiday facility. It is a three-story building but it has an elevator and you only have to go a floor to take your laundry. Their rooms are small, although they have great dining room. They also have all kinds of activities. They also have a van that takes their residents to places. Nevertheless, the facility itself is not far from shopping centers. Carmel Place is definitely a place that I would rate highly.

I'm now at Carmel Place. I would not recommend this facility, because they say they're independent living, but they're not. 70% of people here have dementia and I wouldn't have moved here if I have known there were so many people that's not independent. A lot of people are paying big money for independent living and it is just false advertisement. The food is terrible.
