I chose Chandler Place Independent Living for my mom because of its location and the amenities that were included. They provide two full meals a day. They have a cafeteria where they provide several options of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and a hot meal choice with sides. My mother was tired of cooking, so that's a huge advantage. The facility has a library, a game room, a craft room, and a media room like a movie room. There are lots of places for her to go and hang out with her friends. They also have a shuttle service. Three days a week, they plan shuttles to the local Target, the local Walmart, and the mall, and that is huge because my mother is 93 and no longer able to drive, so being able to go and shop and get things that she needs is big for her. The people working there seem to have been very helpful and informative. Anytime my mother has asked for something, they've been able to get it for her. The place is small, but it has everything that she needs. They provide a biweekly cleaning service, which is huge for her as part of the monthly rental. They have different layouts. They have one-bedroom and two-bedroom condos.

Our tour experience at Chandler Place Independent Living was excellent. We were there twice. One was during their preparation of meals and so we were able to have lunch there and it was excellent. The care that was taken with those who live there, the facilities themselves, the security, and the sociability that goes on at the property were everything that we were looking for. The facilities were top-notch and I liked the manager. She answered all of our questions and was not trying to hide anything.

For the price of the units, Chandler Place Independent Living was the most attractive. I've been to others and the space and accommodations were so much better at Chandler Place. They had a full kitchen instead of a little kitchenette. It is my first choice. It's just not right for me right now. I like the facilities and the pricing. They have two different sized single bedroom units. The larger of the two would meet my needs better than the smaller one. They had a refrigerator, a stove, and cabinet space. The laundry facilities were on each floor. There wasn't a laundry facility in the room. They provide three meals a day. I was there twice, the first time it was with the assistant for tours, the second one was with the director for tours. I found them very informative and helpful. They have a courtyard where you can do cookouts and you can have family or friends or whomever over to visit you indoors or out.

Mom's going to Chandler Place. We're going to try to start with the independent, which is right next door to the assisted living. They're very friendly and very accommodating. They seem to go above and beyond. The apartments are very nice. The facility itself is very nice and it's been updated. There were lots of activities. The staff was very engaging. They have a salon, a movie theater, a library, and cellphone technical help weekly. The dining area was very nice and it has recently been updated.

I went to Chandler Place Independent Living a month ago. It was nice, and it had everything. It would have been my second or third choice, but I don't want to go to the Piedmont Hospital in that area. The senior care authority toured me around and not the staff from Chandler. The facilities were very nice. I liked it.

When my sister was in Chandler Place Independent Living, they put her to bed for having seizures and didn't call me. The next week she ended up in the hospital because she was so bad. She could come and go. I like how they are laid out, it's easy for her to find the dining room and other places. The size of her room was good for the price. They need to improve on their emergency procedures when there's something wrong and their med techs. I think these things should be done by nurses and not non-registered ones. She didn't complain much about the food, but they need to work on their communication no doubt. They had plenty of food choices and quite a few activities. But they never remind her whenever they're doing crafts or activities. That was a major thing with her, she needs to be reminded of things and they just never did it. They had a gym, a courtyard, and a salon.

I went to Chandler Place Independent Living. It was excellent. I like the arrangement of the facility. It was very clean, and it felt very comfortable and homey. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The staff who assisted me, her name was Yula. She was excellent. She spent over an hour with us. She explained everything. She showed me two different apartments and answered all my questions and those of my family. She was just excellent. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. They offered meals, but it was at lunchtime when we got there. They were very busy, so we didn't try the food. They asked me to come back later that day if I would like to have a meal. Most people were involved with going to lunch. There were some ladies who were doing their laundry and waiting for it to dry, so that was really nice. I got to talk to some of the residents. They had a one-bedroom, and they had a one-bedroom deluxe. The one I liked the most was the two-bedroom, which was a very nice apartment. The people that I met were most helpful. One of the things that impressed me was the fact that Yula (who took us around and showed us everything) has been an employee there for 10 years. Also several other employees in housekeeping have been there for a number of years, so to me that's a good thing. I thought the facility was very nice and very clean. They have very good space with very good handrails that went along the corridor, which is very important in a place like that. It's not fancy and brand new, but I thought it was in excellent condition.

I went to Chandler Place Independent Living, and it was very positive. It's certainly clean, and the staff as well as the people living there were wonderful. There were a lot of activities. We like the apartments, but they're a little bit on the small side for us. We would've liked to have seen an indoor pool, but I could see that we would be happy there. The facility was very nice. We saw a library, meeting rooms, and an art room, and each floor had a place where people can get together, play pool or cards, read, or whatever. They had a lot of facilities. It was very nice. It would've been nice if they had a pool and if the apartments were just a tad bigger, but we could make it work if we really wanted.

I am a resident Chandler PLace. The people I've met are very nice, it seems like everyone gets along, they put puzzles together at the halls, and we get 3 meals a day. The food has been good, I don't have anything bad to say right now, and you can bring your pet. I wish they would give everybody name tags, because you cannot remember everybody's names. If you want them to fix something, they usually do it right away, and so far I'm happy with that. They have transportation to take you to the grocery store, shopping, and to eat. I would recommend them. The staff I've met have been very friendly. When I came here I thought the food was better than lately, and they're short of staff at the dining area. We got new management though, and the food may get better. They have crafts, they just had a big sale, they played bingo, and so they have a lot of activities. They do have someone that cleans your room, change your sheets, vacuums, and cleans the bathroom. I love my room, it's freshly painted, the carpet is clean, and the maintenance is good.

We love it. Mom is there now and she is waiting on the room that she's getting refurbished. She likes it too, so we're very happy with it. She'll have her furniture moved. The food has been wonderful. A lady named Mary stayed with her when she got sick until the ambulance got there. I have nothing but praise for her. Mom pushed the button and they came. We're very satisfied with it. She enjoys the food. They do crafts and they go on outings, they have happy hour, people come in and sing, and they have ice cream socials. The facility is very good.

I have moved in. It's very well appointed. All of the staff members are extremely helpful. It's probably one of the most reasonable prices in this area. Everyone in the dining room, the activities director, the front desk staff, and the housekeeping staff are all helpful, friendly, and pleasant. My room was completely renovated before I moved in with new carpet, new paint, new appliances, and new countertops. I would make a few minor changes but nothing significant. It's well laid out and comfortable. My dog and I have only been here for two days. I have a German Shepherd, and I was surprised that they would take a big dog, but they're all very agreeable and like animals.

So far, it has been good, but Mom complains about the food, so does everybody else. Mom likes the music and parties, and attended the housewarming for one of the residents. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Mom said she's liking the place better every day.

I recently moved in. I chose it because the rooms are bigger, and you get more for your money. The staff were absolutely excellent. The place looks like a hotel. When you walk in the front door, it’s just a place that you really like. They have done everything that they promised me like they repainted the colors and the kitchen upgrade so I have a full kitchen. I have two bedrooms and two full bath, and mine was cheaper than most of the places.

My uncle is here. I really like it. The people there are friendly, wonderful, caring, and very helpful. We have had a good experience there. I like the surroundings a lot. They really do a nice job. The patios are wonderful for the residents. It is a very nice place. The maintenance crew is very helpful and the cleaning staff is great.

I was impressed with the amount of active adults moving around and doing things here. It seemed great. There was nothing negative that I have seen. The staff was very friendly and absolutely very helpful. I met with the social director, and it seemed like they do have a few things going on every day.

We chose it because it is very friendly and there was a lot for seniors to do. They get two meals a day, it's excellent food and my parents are enjoying it very much. They have a lot of activities that my parents are just starting to get into. They have bingo, they have a band that practices there. They just have a lot of fun. They found the room very nice. It's a little bit small but the one they chose has an outside door to it. They enjoy that. The staff is very friendly. Everyone gets along and is very friendly. My parents are happy with it.

I mostly like the friendly staff and the size of Chandler Place. It wasn't on the grandiose level. It was more of a home-like facility. There was also a continuum of care there, and right on the same campus, there was a place that has assisted living and dementia care. The staff was genuine. We ate a meal there and the food was great. They did have a fitness center there. They even have a physical therapist on staff, who assists their residents. They have "get-fit" classes there. We saw a resident there with his little gym bag and he was on the elevator with us. The fitness program was good. I think they also have planned trips to the beach or to the mountains. They did provide bus transportation. In terms of location, it is only three miles from our house. This facility is where we want to place my dad.

It was nice. The rooms were fine and the staff was nice. Their dining room was convenient and nice, but we didn't want to eat there. We like to cook on our own and they had no kitchen facilities.
