I chose St. Mary's Villa For Independent & Retirement Living, because for the price, the people here are nice and it included a meal. The food is pretty good, too. The facility is clean. It is in Cherry Hill, so there's a lot of stuff around. I got a small, but comfortable apartment. They come to clean it every week. The only thing is I hope they could use some more useful signs when you come here about where stuff is because their office is on the second floor, but there's nobody on the first floor that says that.

I like the independent living area at St. Mary's Villa for Independent and Retirement Living. It had a more club-like feel to it, and the people were all very sociable, from the staff going down to the residents themselves. They're friendly, too. The staff who gave the tour was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about the facility and the services provided in that facility. Everything was very clean and very well taken care of.

I toured St. Mary's Villa for Independent and Retirement Living. I thought that the lady who showed us around who's the director was very nice and very knowledgeable. I looked at the facility and it seemed very nice. They were having their church service at that time. The dining area was bright and the people could choose where they wanted to sit. There was also a cafe where they could get ice cream, and I thought that was nice.

St. Mary's Villa for Independent and Retirement Living was lovely and beautiful. It was well-maintained and immaculate. All of the people were so nice. The woman who took charge of us was an absolute doll. She was very thorough and explained everything. She also worked with me on the money part. The room we saw was empty, but the bathroom was nice and big. There was a giant closet and there was a window in the room. It was nice.

My concern with the villa part of St. Mary's Villa for Independent and Retirement Living was that the rooms were very basic, and I was surprised that they didn't have handicapped bathrooms. They didn't have walk-in showers. They had bathtubs. So I would suggest they put in walk-in showers instead of bathtubs. The building was fine. It was clean and well-maintained. It is not handicapped accessible, though. The food and dining area was fine. They just upgraded the dining room, so that looked good. They do ice cream socials and trips to various places. They have a pharmacy or staff to manage your medication if needed. They said they had a nurse on duty. The staff who assisted me was very nice.

I toured St. Mary's Villa for Independent and Retirement Living. This is a fairly smaller community. I like the community lunchroom. It's like a cafeteria, but they set it up kind of like restaurant style. They have smaller tables, and you can sit separately or sit amongst people. I only saw a single room and it looked fine. It looked almost like a hotel room. They let you decorate it the way you want it, and you can bring in a refrigerator if you like. They have a lot of courtyard space. It was nice. The courtyards and outside facilities are nice. The staff who took me around was pleasant. She didn't know all that she should have known, but she was a nurse, and the other person was on vacation.

St. Mary's Villa for Independent and Retirement Living is very old and not renovated, but I like it. They said they would be able to negotiate the rate with me. It needed to be renovated. It wasn't for my cousin because it wasn't wheelchair accessible. Even the bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. The rooms are old. They need to be renovated. I didn't see any appliances. They have areas where they can take them out. There's a balcony on the first floor that overlooks a lot of open space grounds. But some of the areas looked like they all could be redone on the outside.

We have toured St. Mary's Villa for Independent and Retirement Living. It's welcoming and charming. The staff who assisted me was very friendly and informative. The apartment that we saw was sufficient, we saw several with one furnished and one unfurnished. So you'll get an idea of how to set up the room. These are one-room apartments, there's no kitchen because there's a kitchen downstairs, but not in the actual apartment. They had a separate bathroom, but each apartment came with a bathroom. There's room for you to put a bed, dresser, TV and a chair. Even the other tenants there were very welcoming, they're extremely nice. They have a salon, they have other amenities there and they do nails, a craft room, they do bingo, and they have a nice sized chapel. They also have a theater room with a popcorn machine. The facility was clean, there was no smell, and I didn't see anything that was alarming. They have two dining areas there.

I toured St. Mary's Villa for Independent and Retirement Living. I was just basically impressed with the way it was run and the way it was structured. I didn't see anything that wasn't good; everything was good. I was very impressed with the staff. They served me lunch and it was very good. They just have bedrooms, and they don't have apartments. And they have a centralized eating area and it was good. If I remember correctly, they had an exercise area and they also had a lounging area. I was interested in independent living. They had a chapel on the third floor, which was very convenient from what I'm interested in.

I toured St. Mary's Villa for Independent and Retirement Living, and they were very nice. The place was excellent. They provide some things for you, but if you're very active and want to go out, you would probably want to have a vehicle there. It was also very clean and quiet. The rooms that they showed me were beautiful. I think you can have somebody come and clean like once a week or every other week, if you want to. They have a lot of activities, but right now because of the COVID, they're not running around doing things. They normally set up activities where they take them on bus trips to some interesting places or go shopping. Their staff was excellent. They were welcoming and answered all your questions. The grounds were beautiful and well-kept too. Although they are dealing with buildings that are a little older, they seemed to keep them maintained.

I went to St. Mary's Villa for Independent and Retirement Living and met with Steve. The visit was very nice. The staff was very pleasant and the room that I went into was pretty clean and nice. They had a regular size bed, TV, bathroom, and a semi walk-in closet. They had a dining area too. They weren't doing any activities, but as I was leaving, entertainment was coming in for them. So, they had an activity planned and a program for them. They also had a chapel and a little kitchen area where the residents could go in at any time to get something in the refrigerator, or go get coffee, or anything like that.
