"I went to Brookdale Hillsborough. There was tranquility there. It was nice. The care was nice. From what I saw, the place was clean. The room was clean and sufficient as well. The staff was very kind and very knowledgeable. The dining area was clean. It was an empty space with tables and some chairs and things like that."

"Mira Vie at Warren was beautiful. I loved it. The people were very nice. The community was beautiful. My drawback was the demographics, because even though I'm 70, I think the people are older. I loved that they had underground parking. That was important to me, especially in New Jersey. I know I could feel comfortable there. The staff was wonderful. Everyone that I came in contact with, and also the residents, were very friendly and very welcoming. I had coffee and pastries and they were good. The common areas were gorgeous. The room was wonderful. It just didn't have enough closet space for me."

"We toured Sunrise of Basking Ridge. It's a possibility. It was very nice. They gave me a lot of information. I saw a one-bedroom; it was very big and good. The place looked nice. It was clean, and it was kept well. The dining area was clean, neat, and very nice. They have a library, a salon, and an activity room. However, there is no pool or gym."

"We like Spring Hills Somerset. I thought the facility was modern and clean. We found that there are a lot of options for food. The dining facilities were also clean and very updated. We also like that the fact that in the memory care unit, they assign someone specific to your mom, so you have someone pretty much you can go to or call and get updated status on how she's doing. We just like that kind of one-on-one offering that they've had. The rooms are clean and spacious. They were pretty much studios. They didn't do anything with one bedrooms, but they were a decent size. I found that to be a plus. They have a general area where they have a TV, and they watch movies together. There is a lot of camaraderie between memory care patients that are there. They do offsite trips to the parks just to get them outdoors and get them outside. The staff was very informative. She was good at the job. What I've seen was impressive."

"Regency Heritage gave my husband tender loving care while he was in this beautiful facility. I am indebted to the staff more specifically to the dedication and kind regards of folk like Evette and others on the first floor. When my husband moved to the second floor we were met with another group of dedicated professionals. The expert professionals in the rehabilitation unit were phenomenal. They brought my husband back from immobility to satisfactory mobility in a shorter period of time than the family even expected. Forever grateful."

"Fox Trail Memory Care Living was very nice. The lady explained everything very clearly and showed me around the whole facility. She was very knowledgeable. The tour was good. I was shown a room, the bedroom, where they eat and where they can go outside, walk around, and sit outside if they want to. The areas that they showed me were good."

"We liked it because it was small. They only take ten to 12 residents. It's a home and we feel that with my sister, that would be something that would help her more than a large facility with a lot of people. It's a smaller facility, so it's more homey, and it's more like living in a regular house. It's a ranch house. It has a living room, dining room, a rest area, the bedrooms, and a bathroom, but they're all suited to have memory care residents. The staff seemed sufficient and efficient. They were working with the residents, playing a game with them, and playing music with them. I think there were only six residents that were there at the time. The house was very clean and orderly. The dining area was very clean. We saw the kitchen and the dining area where they sat. They were sitting like in a recreation area that had tables and chairs, and it was very clean and nice. They had a front porch that has a ramp with railings; they sit outside on the porch as well."

"I visited Mira Vie at Fanwood. It's nicely decorated, very clean, and very peaceful. It is a rather elegant situation, and I was told that it used to be a hotel, so I'm not surprised that it looks like that. They have two buildings, one for assisted living and the other for independent living. I took a closer look at assisted living. The rooms they showed me were kept well. They were small, just a room with a bed, so it was not a big accommodation. The staff was very well prepared. They knew what they had and knew what to tell me. They did well, and I liked what they told me and what I saw."

"Brighton Gardens of Edison was very clean and very neat. Everything was on ground level, so we didn't have to worry about any staircases or anything. It was very well lit and easily accessible. The rooms were very clean, modern, neat, and all pretty new. We went through the kitchen, and everybody who was eating there looked very happy. The staff was very nice, courteous, and professional. There was no pressure. No sales pitches. They just let us take a look and walk around."

"The community that stood out to me was Juniper Village at Chatham. It was gorgeous. It was very classy and very well maintained. The amenities and seating areas were lovely, but it was way out of our price range. If we could have afforded, that's where I would send my father. The staff who gave the tour was extremely helpful and delightful, but she wouldn't be the one interacting with my father. The place was very clean."

"Memory Care Living is a small community. It specializes in memory care. The staff is excellent. Don probably requires most of the care out of the twelve people that were there, and they are very accommodating to him. There are two main baths, and some rooms have private baths. "

"I toured the Heritage of Clara Barton, and I liked the location. The lobby was very nice and expansive. I liked that they had a separate laundry room, a very nice common area, a stove, and a refrigerator. The staff was very nice, and she made me feel very welcome. I liked the size of the kitchen, but I thought the living room and the bedroom were small."

"I visited Brighton Gardens of Mountainside. They were wonderful there. I very much enjoyed the visit, and I would recommend that facility to anybody looking for a place. I like the friendliness of the staff; they were just outstanding. And the facility itself was clean. The food looked like it was a great availability to the residents there. As far as the activities are concerned, they're nice, but my mother wouldn't be participating in much of that. Although, what they have available was very, very nice."

"I liked Spring Hills Princeton. The woman I met there was nice. She was wonderful. It seemed like a nice place. I liked the price. It's cheaper than others. The rooms were nice, too. I think they were a good size. They generally have games and outings just like the others. I thought the atmosphere was very pleasant."
