I would rate zero stars, but it would not let me. My parents have had bed bugs due to a contaminated donation for bingo prizes five times. The last time they didn't bother to call me. My parents started in AL and the staff knew them and loved them, once they moved to nursing home care, there room wasn't cleaned, we had to ask for bedding to be changed, the toilet was never cleaned. The center took down their call tree and you could not get anyone to answer the phone. Their doctor's offices could not get through. They are supposed to get choices for meals, but the CNAs are too lazy to ask them about their meals and just serve the main dish, remove the lid and walk out of their room. My mom needs help to the bathroom and when she pushed her call light, the CNA asked what she needed. When my mom said help to the bathroom, she told my mom she could do it herself, turned and walked out! Both parents are a fall risk! The administrator and DON no longer address issues or return calls. I was chewed out by the ADON for complaining that nobody answers the phone. Time to look elsewhere.

My mom was in Riverside Place around two weeks ago. She was admitted there with COVID, so I haven't been able to go inside. Well, I talked to her on the phone. She's been treated well there. She says it's a clean facility and the staff is pretty good. She said the food is good, there are large portions, they give her a lot of food. She's t getting physical therapy and occupational therapy. It seems to be adequate. The outside shows a little age, but generally well kept, pretty clean, and looks pretty good from the outside. She's told me that sometimes it's difficult for her to get some of her needs met. She needs assistance with changing her clothes and toileting, and she doesn't get her medications exactly on time, so they need to be more timely with her caregiving.
