All Vintage Gardens staff must complete monthly Relias online training. These classes cover safety issues, residents rights and dementia training. Nursing classes are given quarterly by our Director of Nursing

At Vintage Gardens our residents range in age from 72 to 102. We have an incredible activities leaders in AL, IL and MC. Our residents enjoy crafts, games, gardening and entertainment visits from community organizations, local schools and churches.
What programs or activities does Vintage Gardens offer to enrich residents' well-being?
Vintage Gardens offers Sensory friendly indoor and outdoor games. Aromatherapy, taste games, finger painting, music therapy and gardening. Planting the garden in Magnolia Trails brings much excitement.

Vintage Gardens is surrounded by undeveloped tree lined country that is beautiful to look. A short car ride from that is great shopping and multiple restaurants with a walking and bike trail surrounding the area.

Vintage Gardens offers transportation to Medical appointments within a ten mile radius on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
What makes the chef or dining program at Vintage Gardens exceptional? What kind of menu can assisted living residents expect?
The menus for lunch and dinner are posted daily to give our residents the opportunity while enjoying a cook to order breakfast to decide if he or she would like to substitute any items. The dietary staff aims to please and always has a list of possible substitutions.
What safety features or security measures does Vintage Gardens offer to assisted living residents?
Monthly fire drills and tornado drills keep us on our toes to safety. Sprinkler system throughout. Each resident has a call button on their person to get help within minutes. Call buttons in the bathrooms and bedrooms add another level of security. Well lit parking lots and sidewalks help to keep our campus safe.

Monthly Newsletters, daily Facebook posts, Emails and direct phone calls from our nursing staff keep our families up to date on all aspects of our residents care.

If Vintage Gardens accepts dogs or cats, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?
Vintage Gardens has plenty of grassy areas directly outside of the building for dogs to enjoy. All pets are cared for by the resident within the privacy of their own apartments.

Our independent living is individual houses that have two bedrooms and a two car garage. Our residents are between 70 and 90. The Villa residents have pot luck meals together, card games and football parties in the Clubhouse. They love their walking club.

Vintage Gardens is surrounded by undeveloped tree lined country that is beautiful to look. A short car ride from that is great shopping and multiple restaurants with a walking and bike trail surrounding the area. St. Joseph has several beautiful museums and beautiful historical homes to tour.
What are some recent off-site events that the community activity director at Vintage Gardens has organized?
Historical tours about town with a stop for lunch at a rural country restaurant is one of the most requested outings. A trip to the local dinner theatre is also considered to be a trip to remember.

Meals have recently been added to IL and they are available for pick up at our AL building. The same meals that are served to our Al Residents are enjoyed by our IL residents.

The Clubhouse with it's beautiful kitchen, rustic cabinlike feel is the gathering place for many happy occasions for the Villa residents

Security passcode locks on all entries and exits with alarms that alert staff to any openings.
