My sister has moved into Century Pines Assisted Living in Ozark. She doesn't have a private room and has, at least, one roommate. I toured it with her some time ago when she was still looking for a place and didn't like it at all. It needed to be updated and there was an odor. My sister went there because she can smoke there so she's happy with it. She doesn't care about anything else. The place was dreary, dark, and old. It's been there a long time. The staff, the ones that we met, were nice.

Century Pines Assisted Living would take Medicaid when it comes to that point. However, the place was gross. I would not put an enemy in that place. The hallways were very narrow and very dark. The whole place smelled of urine. There were gross stains on the ceilings. The vents had black thing in it. The floors were uneven. I couldn't wait to get out of there. The staff seemed good but overworked. They looked like they were just exhausted. They were friendly, kind and nice, though. They have three meals a day, but they only have two things to pick from.

I was able to see Century Pines. It sounds like they have a potential remodel plan in the future. The staff was very helpful and answered my questions. The facility is not the most beautiful. It's a little darker than what I liked, but I think after the remodel it is going to be a top-notch facility. The apartments were a good size, decent-sized rooms, nice, and clean. The neighborhood is beautiful over there at Ozark, that part in particular. It's in a really nice residential area. It's very safe. They have a nice little stroll garden and socialization; the social activities that they have are really nice. The outside area was really beautiful.

I went to Century Pines, it was just awful-looking. The gentleman was nice and knowledgeable, but the place was just run down. There were old people sitting on the decks in wheelchairs and it was cold that day. When I pulled up, it looked like something out of a horror movie. It was awful, as far as the appearance is. I only met one gentleman. There was a lady that was cleaning who saw me coming in and she had me wait at the front door. She went and got the gentleman and so he took me straight to the office. They said they weren't doing tours. It was very run-down and everything was old, the walls needed painting, and the carpets needed replacing. I think it's a family owned business and I think it's one of the three different facilities they have. My conversation with him was very helpful, but for the appearance, I would never even consider putting my parents there. It didn't smell bad, it was just very worn out.

We visited Century Pines Assisted Living. It's dark, dingy, and my wife said she wouldn't leave her dog there. They have a couple of common areas where we saw some people. They also have a cafeteria area. However, the place is just old, there's old pictures and stuff in the hallways, and the lighting in the rooms is not bright. It's a private place, and we walked in and met with the manager. The guy was very knowledgeable but his office was a mess, and he had a rolled up carpet in the corner. He said he's getting ready to remodel the place. I hope the carpet wasn't sitting there for five years because it was not in style. They also have nurses that are there most of the day, like 12 hours a day. It was a true assisted living kind of place, but we just didn't care for it at all.

We looked at the facility and it was nice but, at the time, my parents really wanted to move to a facility in Warrensburg, MO where I live.

We liked Century Pines and the staff and the owner, but it's very outdated. It's comfortable, but it needs new carpets and a lot of repairs. The staff was very pleasant, and the owner was quite involved. We would have picked it as our second choice. It just needed some maintenance.

I visited Century Pines. There are pros and cons. It is out in the country, which is nice, but I think it needs some updates. It is a little shabby, and it needs to be a little more modern. The staff members were very nice though, and the price was cheaper than the other community. Century Pines is OK. The location is about 5 to 6 miles away, so it is a little inconvenient. As for the facility, they need to clean up and modernize it.

Having been in the facility alot with loved ones, unfortunately it has gone down hill in the last 3-4 months. We kept mom there because she loved her friends and the food was excellent, but no one knows where that lady went to, and now they eat lots of sandwiches. A large portion of the nursing staff spends more time on their cell phone, or in the smoking area instead of helping, especially during the morning shifts, and on the weekends. It is kept relatively clean but with only one housekeeper, and she works hard, it is hard to keep a place like this clean. We are currently looking for different placement for mom, as with few working air conditioners, and no back up generators for power outages, we worry about her safety and comfort this winter.

As a family member of a former resident at Century Pines, I was very pleased with all the care that was given my mother while she was there. I found Century Pines to be a loving, caring, family oriented facility.

Most of the employees are careless and are just there to get paid. They don't have good relationships with the residents. They are careless and disrespectful.

The staff at Century Pines has provided tremendous care for my elderly father and mother in law. The facility is kept clean and smell free. The meals are over the top and tasty. As I am a frequent visitor, I take special note of how residents are being treated and am very impressed. The residents truly have a family type bond with each other and the staff. We have enjoyed many of the activities such as the annual Christmas party, resident trips to Branson shows and Barbeques. The homey atmosphere is very appealing rather than a sterile institutional feeling. I would highly recommend Century Pines Assisted Living. Greatest compliment I think is that my Mom said " I want to eat Thanksgiving Dinner at home". She wanted to be at Century Pines for dinner. That says it all. We are very thankful to the staff for the care they give directly from their hearts.

Century Pines is a great place and I would highly recommend them. I volunteer there and enjoy being with the residents and great staff. It is obvious that the staff cares about the welfare of each resident. And you will not find a better Director of Nursing anywhere. She has such a passion for nursing and the residents. I have also noticed that staff members place their own family members there. In my book, that says something. I was going to move my own mother there, but unfortunately she passed away before that occurred. You should check them out.

This assisted living facility is very nice. Century Pines is Assisted Living is located on ten acres. The outside is very well taken care of. They have nice landscaping and a beautiful view with many trees. The staff seemed very nice and caring towards the people that were staying in their care. I have visited Century Pines in Ozark, Missouri many times with classmates that I went to school with. We would bring the elderly cards and gifts. We would also sit and visit with them and sometimes sing and play games together. The gathering room where people can sit and watch television and play games is very large, and is very open. The senior citizens that we visited seemed very happy and content to be at Century Pines. There are some wonderful amenities including but not limited to, a beauty/barber shop on site, daily laundry service and housekeeping, free transportation to go on outings, and a wonderful staff that is available 24 hours a day. I really enjoyed my visit to Century Pines Assisted Living, and I believe that others will, too.
