The Missouri Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program helps seniors living in long-term care facilities solve issues they may experience. Ombudsmen educate residents about their rights and mediate their problems with treatment or care. Ombudsmen keep complete confidentiality when consulting with residents and only intervene with their permission. Volunteer ombudsmen conduct visits to long-term care facilities, meeting with residents to help reduce feelings of isolation.
