My mother is in St. Anthony Health & Rehabilitation. They have memory care, assisted living, and rehab. The whole area that she's in is for rehab. The rooms are kind of plain, but all the other parts of it outside her room are very nice and well kept, and 99% of the staff are really nice, and they do keep an eye on her good. She has a room right outside the desk area because she's a little fireball. They help her get dressed, help her to the bathroom, give her a shower once a week, and take her to the dining room if she wants to eat her meals there, otherwise she eats them in her room. She has physical therapy every day, and the therapist is very nice. They're all really quite nice there. I don't think the food is very good. If I had to rate it on a 1 to 10, it's maybe a 5, and that's stretching it. They have all kinds of activities, but my mother doesn't participate in them. My brother and I are pretty satisfied with them. The majority of the staff are very nice, and they're good to her. It's a very nice facility.

My mom really likes St Anthony Health Center. I’ve seen the people who work there, and they’re very kind and very good to her. When she pushes her button, someone comes and answers shortly. She has certain dietary needs, so I’ve talked to the dietitian, and that is what she’s getting now. Mostly, the food is very good. We like it for our mom. She gets her hair cut and washed there. The lady does it exactly as my mom wants it. She’s very prompt as my mom always wants it at 9:30. They have a chapel, which my mom wouldn’t use. She likes the hospice reverend. He’s very kind and very good to my mom. The place has absolutely no smell. She feels very comfortable there.

My mother-in-law is at St. Anthony Health Center right now. The staff is wonderful. It was a hard adjustment in the beginning because she was with a roommate when she first moved in and that did not work out, so she has been moved in with another roommate whom she likes very much. The staff is wonderful to her. The facility and the medical care are wonderful. The facility itself is somewhat dated; it does not look quite as homey and comfortable as another skilled healthcare we looked at, but she had decided that she wanted to stay at St. Anthony. They have entertainment that is brought in. She is a Catholic, and they have communion brought in once a week. She can get a manicure, pedicure, and things like that; all she has to do is sign up and she can do that.

My mother has been in St. Anthony Health Center for a month now. I wanted her close to me; there are five major places near me that accept Medicaid, and it's probably the best of those. They have a cooking club, a book club, and music. The staff is very professional. Most of them are of African descent, and they are extremely caring. They have been extremely good with my mother. The nurses are very attentive, and the doctor and his nurse practitioner are very detailed, which I like. She has had a bit of a struggle making the transition, but they've been right on top of things, so I'm very satisfied.
