"I love it here at Ecumen Prairie Lodge. I feel safe and sound. The food is great. They are all pretty fantastic people. They are fun to be with and I love them. I don't want to be anywhere else. The place is simple. We have coffee here any time you want it, or juice, and there's plenty of water. They wash our clothes and take good care of us. They take us to different therapies. So far, I love it. They are excellent. They are very kind and very caring."

Our house is located in the heart of the city on a quiet corner, where there are parks for our residents to walk to. Each resident has their own private room, fully furnished, including TV. Laundry is done everyday. The entire home is cleaned daily as well. Meals of choice are prepared for our residents, following any diet restrictions they may have. All meals are prepared and cooked fresh daily. NOTE: We do not allow alcohol, illicit drugs or pork. There is a big TV in our living room area where residents can gather to watch shows and movies, as well as converse and socialize. We provide culturally competent care for all clients. "My girlfriend’s mom is in Cornerstone. They have friendly staff and make sure that her mom feels comfortable when she went in not knowing anybody. They are willing to make new people feel welcome, like it is the first day of school, and make sure that they meet everybody, who all give them a warm welcome. They have activities, like games, bingo, and live music. They have a separate room for activities that is not far from the dining area. It has been only three or four weeks since she moved in, so she is still getting used to everything that is going on. They have their own prayer service, a place for massages, and a salon. They offer three meals a day, brunch on Sundays, and mid-afteroon tea, pie, and coffee. "

"We went to visit Suite Living of Brooklyn Park and toured for memory care. One of the things that we didn't like about it was that the rooms were way too small. They also have an outdoor area, but it is not well shaded, and there aren't many trees. It seemed clean, though. I don't recall that it smelled funny or anything. The dining room in the memory care is also spacious for the residents' needs. The person who gave the tour was very professional."

"Sunrise of Edina was nice. You could tell that it was professionally run. We did a brief tour there, and I had some favorable impression of the place when we walked in. "

"My relatives have been living in Brookdale Edina. They're taking good care of them so far, and the room they have is nice. They've put together a single room and a studio, because there weren't any two bedrooms or two-person rooms available. They had to fix the ceiling though, and that isn't quite finished yet. There was a leak upstairs and we were waiting for that, but other than that it's good. They also seem to like the staff and the food. They said it's good. They have several activities too, although I don't think they have done any of them yet."

"Sunrise of Minnetonka is a brand new building. From the outside, it's awesome looking. They have everything there. I didn't find coming here as incriminating. A female staff member showed us the rooms. I just couldn't afford them. The room I saw had a kitchen, a small living room, and one bathroom. I'd like to move with my husband, but not for that kind of money. The staff was totally the best."

"My sister moved to Suite Living of Spring Lake Park. It's very clean, airy, and open. The staff is friendly and nice, and the food is good. However, they don't have enough staff. They have bingo and cards and go out and eat if they want."

"The Sunrise of Roseville assisted living facility is in a great location for our family, so we decided to visit on our search for a place for our great-aunt. Near the Rosedale Shopping Center, it is easy to get to from both Minneapolis and St. Paul, where much of our family resides. We first noticed the outside Colonial mansion like structure. The fresh flowers in every room really made the environment appealing. Our great-aunt really loved to garden, so she really enjoyed the greenery. The main rooms have lovely French doors which make the space very open and full of light. The outside deck has ample seating and is surrounded by lush, forest-like trees. The social areas are nicely decorated, comfortable and really have a home-like feel. Throughout the facility, there are many seating areas which afford some privacy and are nice for visitors. The rooms have plenty of space and closets, with nice sized windows overlooking the yard. The bathrooms were some of the largest we've seen, all located in the center of the living spaces. However, in the unit we saw, the kitchenette was right next to the front door, which seemed a bit awkward. There was also very little counter space. Each set of rooms had wonderful views of gardens and well-manicured landscaping. The main dining area looks like a cafe with nice tables and outside views. We chose from a lunch menu and everything was really delicious "“ well prepared and suited to any dietary need. Interesting outings and events are offered, many of which really appeal to our great aunt. She really loves to get out and do things with people, so this is very important to us. We noticed people of varying ambulatory degrees. Our great aunt has no trouble getting around, however, she does have short term memory loss. To that end, the staff graciously offered to help us make an individualized service plan so that we would all be comfortable about choosing the facility. "

"We moved into assisted living here. It's a brand-new building and it has so far been just fine. We're just kind of getting settled in. It's wonderful and it's really nice. The apartments are really nice. The staff is very good. The food and dining setup looks OK. They have a gym and craft room. They have an activities director who's doing a survey right now with all the new residents to see what activities they want. They offer daily grocery transportation and one-day-a-week rides to doctors appointments."

"I have found Suite Living of Maple Grove for myself. It's five minutes away from my sister. It's nice. It's one level. It only has 12 residents for assisted living and then 12 residents for memory care. They're very nice and really polite there, and I like that about them, and then I can volunteer there too anytime I want. I can do bingo, and if somebody's sick or doesn't wanna do it, I can do that for them. There's painting, coloring, and games, and all this other fun stuff. It's a lot of fun. I'm so excited. They're very caring and nice to me. The staff member who gave the tour was very nice and outgoing and answered all my questions. She was very polite and considerate. The nurse that came over and talked with me said, "You're a good fit," and she was very polite and kind too. The dining area was very beautiful and very clean. The physical appearance of the facility was perfect."

"Havenwood of Maple Grove was very airy, light, white, and open compared to the other two places I went that had more darker wood. I believe they're only a year old, so they have a lot of availability. We toured both assisted living and independent. The tour guy was good. The layout was more dispersed, but they had laundry in their units. They didn't have a pool table though, which was kind of a big thing for my mother's friend."
