"The Glenn Hopkins seems to be a spiritual Catholic community. You could go to mass every day and pray the rosary. There's a resident priest there and it seems to be a very nice environment. It looks out on a nice area, kind of like a wetland, so it's got a nice physical area outside with some green space. All the staff seemed great. The person that I ran into the most and liked was a young woman who worked in the cafeteria. She was a very nice, inspirational person. The guy who was taking care of the activities seemed like a really wonderful guy too. The other thing I liked about the place was they had some little birds, little finches. I thought it was nice to have some animals there."

"Active Day at Millennium is a very good place. The activities are great, and the people are wonderful. They have a social center, a living room setting, and a kitchen. They give my friend his meals, and he goes five days a week for six hours. They have a room where the seniors can lay down and take a nap, but they pick them up and bring them back home. They have crafts, they go out to the malls, senior facilities, schools, and to different activities, and they play cards. They have a great staff. Anytime I need anything I can just give them a call."

"My husband has advanced Parkinson's and has been attending Mt Olivet Day Services for ten years. The facility is clean, cheerful and spacious. The staff is wonderful and their turnover very low. Field trips, fun activities that provide physical and mental stimulation, guest speakers and entertainers, excellent meals and bathing are provided. The staff takes special care to communicate with the families of participants and to provide for the participants' special needs. Mount Olivet Day Services also includes a childcare component in the same building and there are many activities that bring the children and the "Grandmas and Grandpas" together. My husband and I regard this program as dear family. "

"Adult Day Program at MN Veteran's Home RN and social worker on the staff. Many different activities going on every day, daily exercise group, field trips, entertainment, movies with popcorn (recliner chairs, too), breakfast and lunch with nice area to eat lunch outside on nice days. Multiple activities of shorter duration (for those with shorter attention spans). The director is visible and interacts with the participants. Beautiful grounds and really nice old building. They offer spa bath weekly. Participants wear a sort of GPS device so staff knows where they are at all times- good safety measure for those with dementia. "

"My mother was a patient here for a few weeks before she passed away. The compassionate care by the staff was exemplary. We have wonderful memories during that very difficult time. My daughter stayed over one night towards the end and I was there the night before she passed. We are still talking about the caring nurses during those nights. She was agitated and they knew just what to say to my mom to calm her. It was so wonderful to hear that. And by the way, the nurses thought we were sleeping! I can't forget to mention the day nurses who also knew just what to say to her to comfort her. Two unforgettable aides....it was a very difficult day and this male aide came into the family room and hugged all of us. Now how awesome was that! Then there was this one aide who towards the end was feeling so emotional as my mom was nearing the end that she had tears in her eyes. Now that meant a lot knowing she was sharing our pain. Thank you to all your wonderful staff Lake Ridge. You're the best! "

"This is a wonderful program. They offer daily snacks and meals, activities and people seem very friendly. Their clients were happy and having a lot of fun when I visited. They even offer bathing services! I would recommend this program to any seniors interested in having a fun day away from home and to caregivers who need a break."

"My husband was in Martin Luther Campus for a while for rehab. I was satisfied with the transitional care. I think their staff members could be more attentive, but they could be understaffed. The food was excellent, and the facility was nice and clean. He took part in bingo and their happy hour."

"There's no activity at Ebenezer Ridges Campus. Mom just gets fed, gets changed, and she has a shower. She does occupational therapy once a day, and that's it. She sits in front of the TV all the time. That's all she does. They're good nurses, though. I like the nurses. I think they're pretty responsive, but there's no way that they don't engage her in anything. So, she's been very isolated. We're there all the time to try to make sure she's got somebody with her as much as possible."
