"We are so fortunate to have found this place. My wife is very social and needs to have people around. She would have had a very difficult and miserable time staying in the typical "hotel" like environment which is characteristic of so many senior assisted living facilities. Rakhma is just perfect - a small number of residents and staff is there round the clock every day. They have access to nursing staff and an affiliated doctor. Instructions to the staff are quite detailed and tailored to each resident. You can provide them guidance for the needs and care of your loved one. More importantly, this residence lives up to it stated ethos of unconditional love, which I understand is the meaning of the name Rakhma. Everyone on staff is loving and caring. It takes a very special person to not only work in but to thrive in an environment caring for elderly persons. Rakhma is really good at finding staff who show love and respect. The leadership tolerates nothing less. Care partners are free to come and go at the home. In particular I appreciate that I am able to join my wife for a meal most anytime without it being an extra charge. I can also join in their frequent outings. Even with all their services, the costs are most reasonable. You would be hard pressed to find a better place for your loved one needing round the clock supervision and care. "

"My mom is in the memory care of Cornerstone Assisted Living and Memory Care. The biggest thing right now that I would say is they have a high level of staffing, and then their flexibility to work with an advocate on the care plan specific to that individual. The appearance of the place it's nice. It's accommodating. It's clean, and I think the facility is managed well. The upkeep of the place is very satisfactory to my standards. For the folks that are in memory care, I feel they need a little more one-on-one stimulation. It's a well-kept, large community. I specifically like the size of my mother's room. It is very close, comfortable, and accommodating."

"We toured Suite Living of Brooklyn Park. When you walk in the door, it's very inviting, very hospitable. You felt comfortable. It was pretty. The girl who took us on the tour was very knowledgeable and forthcoming. We were happy with the facility. It was a smaller facility, so I think my mom would get good care. The rooms are nice for her to be in. If I had to choose a place, it would probably be that place. It's very clean and updated."

"I toured Sunrise of Edina. I liked the size and the fact that it was probably more conducive to my dad's condition. It is a fairly small three-story facility, right in a very nice part of Edina. It's a much more manageable sort of situation in my mind than a high-rise. The staff I met was very knowledgeable of the facility, and of the comparable of the facilities in the area. The pricing was very easy to understand. They have the full beauty/barber salon, very nice sitting areas, lounge areas, and dining area. The dining area is very restaurant-like."

"Brookdale Edina had very nice accommodations. The lady was doing a nursing assessment on my husband and it took a long time. In the meantime, it's just about a week really, from start to finish and they declined to let my husband live there because they thought his needs were too acute and too heavy, which I understand, but it just took so long for it to happen. I liked the facility well enough that I was looking forward to him being there. They offered some other kinds of free services like transportation and those kinds of things, which made it a very attractive option. They were all very friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. It's not a new building, but the rooms were very clean and the facility was very clean. It was very comfortable."

"My mother lived in the memory care unit at Sunrise of Minnetonka from 2016 until she passed away in 2023. The staff gave her absolutely wonderful care that entire time. My mother had dementia, but also another diagnosis that made placement difficult. In addition, she was very active and alert, so she needed beautifully decorated surroundings, lots of interesting daily activities to choose from, great tasting food, and friendship. The staff at Sunrise excelled at all of the above, for almost seven years straight, including through the difficult years of the pandemic, adjusting mom's care as her needs changed. I HIGHLY recommend Sunrise!"

"My sister moved to Suite Living of Spring Lake Park. It's very clean, airy, and open. The staff is friendly and nice, and the food is good. However, they don't have enough staff. They have bingo and cards and go out and eat if they want."

"Sunrise of Rosevillewas a nice place. The dining area was nice, big, and roomy. The staff seemed nice and informative. They answered all our questions. They took us around and showed us everything. They told us anything that we wanted to know. They had services if you wanted to use them. They had different activities going on in the building too. "

"I liked Havenwood of Richfield really well. I just didn't like it being on the other side of the river from me. The rooms were quite spacious, but the kitchens were probably a third of what the apartment was. For a one-bedroom apartment, it is kind of ridiculous to have the kitchen be so huge when they're providing two meals a day. I just felt that they could have had more living space. The living room/dining area was tiny. There was no living space. It's all kitchen. Everything was clean, neat, and well-organized. The staff was very friendly. Their social activities director's dad lived there. I think that's a pretty awesome statement that the staff would want or have their family members living there."

"I met with them yesterday. They have a corridor that's like a little city block that joins the two memory care centers. You're actually outside the building, but you're in a little city block, like a cafe or something. It's for family members if they want to sit with their parents or whoever they have there. All the rooms seemed pretty standard to any place I've been in. They're just basic. The only thing that surprised me was that with the phone and the cable TV, you have to hook up that yourself. You got to hire an outside company to come in and do that, which in some places, that's already part of your fee. That's the only complaint I have. I looked at the menu, and there wasn't anything unusual there. I didn't sample any of the meals. All the staff members I met with were all very nice, friendly and answered my questions. Some of the staff stopped and asked me questions, what kind of person my dad was and stuff. They were asking lots of questions. I had no problem with the staff. They were all very nice. They are just a memory care facility."

"We toured Rakhma Joy Home. It was an older home. I mean, all of their homes are older homes in really nice neighborhoods. If residents want to take walks, they will go with them or follow them to make sure they stay safe. It felt more like it was somebody's home. They have both private rooms and shared rooms. They seem to have social time with the residents. They had outings for the residents. A critical thing for my sister is that she's a smoker. So going to a larger institution where she had to be off the property to smoke was not something that we could look at. There were other smokers in the house and they could smoke outside together. So that's another social aspect for her."

"I have found Suite Living of Maple Grove for myself. It's five minutes away from my sister. It's nice. It's one level. It only has 12 residents for assisted living and then 12 residents for memory care. They're very nice and really polite there, and I like that about them, and then I can volunteer there too anytime I want. I can do bingo, and if somebody's sick or doesn't wanna do it, I can do that for them. There's painting, coloring, and games, and all this other fun stuff. It's a lot of fun. I'm so excited. They're very caring and nice to me. The staff member who gave the tour was very nice and outgoing and answered all my questions. She was very polite and considerate. The nurse that came over and talked with me said, "You're a good fit," and she was very polite and kind too. The dining area was very beautiful and very clean. The physical appearance of the facility was perfect."
