"The rooms are older and small. The care is moderately good. The biggest complaint is that we purchased new comfortable clothing for him and within a week all but one item we purchased “disappeared” never to be seen again. They also “lost” a sweatshirt that was very dear to him. It is obvious that they randomly distribute clothing to other patients as we often arrived and he was wearing items that were not his own. I would be very wary of this place."

"My wife stayed at Abiitan Mill City. They helped with all sorts of services, like getting her dressed, going to the bathroom, and bringing food. They have all sorts of other things that you could do and other programs. They're pretty much complete, and they've got a nice restaurant on the first floor. They're all very pleasant people. My wife had a studio apartment. All it had was a refrigerator, bath, and toilet. It's the smallest one they had, and it was perfectly fine. They kept it clean and they came in maybe once or twice a week. The food was OK. They advertise it as restaurant quality; 50% of it was and the other 50% wasn't. The staff were wonderful. They're all good and caring. They were prompt, and if you need help, they will get there fast. They were very good. They got a lot of activities."

"We toured Suite Living of Brooklyn Park. When you walk in the door, it's very inviting, very hospitable. You felt comfortable. It was pretty. The girl who took us on the tour was very knowledgeable and forthcoming. We were happy with the facility. It was a smaller facility, so I think my mom would get good care. The rooms are nice for her to be in. If I had to choose a place, it would probably be that place. It's very clean and updated."

Our house is located in the heart of the city on a quiet corner, where there are parks for our residents to walk to. Each resident has their own private room, fully furnished, including TV. Laundry is done everyday. The entire home is cleaned daily as well. Meals of choice are prepared for our residents, following any diet restrictions they may have. All meals are prepared and cooked fresh daily. NOTE: We do not allow alcohol, illicit drugs or pork. There is a big TV in our living room area where residents can gather to watch shows and movies, as well as converse and socialize. We provide culturally competent care for all clients. "My sister moved to Suite Living of Spring Lake Park. It's very clean, airy, and open. The staff is friendly and nice, and the food is good. However, they don't have enough staff. They have bingo and cards and go out and eat if they want."

"I brought my mother up from Florida six years ago to live at Augustana Chapel View. My mother had a stroke in Florida and lost the use of her left side and has very limited ability to care for herself. The staff at Chapel View have always been helpful, committed and so good to my mother. Occasionally there is an issue of some sort and that issue takes a bit to sort out however everyone seems committed to finding a solution. I can not say how much I appreciate the care and companionship that the staff has given my mother. That is her community where she lives 24/7 and she has made so many friends. I will say, that some of that is due to my mother who has always been agreeable, co-operative and caring herself. Mom loves the activities...especially Bingo and the auctions...and the games and music etc. Is Chapel View a perfect solution...no. I would love to be able to have her with me but that is not possible. Mom seems happy at Chapel View."

"We went to Sunrise of Roseville. My wife is allergic to animals and they just let the animals run free throughout the building. They're not confined in their room, but they just let them run. We like the facility, but any play that will open up their facilities and just let the dogs and the cats run is not a good situation. The facilities are very, very lovely. The staff is friendly. I didn't have any complaints concerning what we were seeing. They didn't have a garage. It is all outside parking. I have no disabilities, and so I'm free to do what I need to do, but my wife is the one that needs the care. As far as the facilities and so forth, it's a very lovely setting, and the people are accommodating. The rooms were very nice. Everything was clean. It did seem to be a little expensive, but I have nothing to compare right now. Everything was clean and very nice. The dining hall looked very well and clean. We had a 1:30 appointment, so everything was cleaned up and looking very nice. From what they explained, they have exercise groups. I think it is a chair exercise type of thing. It sounds like they have activities both on the premises and off-premises. They must take them off for various things to do. They seem to have activities. Everything but the animal situation, I would rate it a 4. The staff who gave me the tour was very good, very accommodating and very friendly."

"I toured Cornerstone Assisted Living and Memory Care. It was a great experience. It's very close to my house. It's in a very quiet community. The rooms were nice. The food smelled delicious. The staff was very welcoming, and they had a lot of tenured people working there. I haven't tried the food, but the dining area was very pleasant and nicely kept. The residents seemed happy."

"I have found Suite Living of Maple Grove for myself. It's five minutes away from my sister. It's nice. It's one level. It only has 12 residents for assisted living and then 12 residents for memory care. They're very nice and really polite there, and I like that about them, and then I can volunteer there too anytime I want. I can do bingo, and if somebody's sick or doesn't wanna do it, I can do that for them. There's painting, coloring, and games, and all this other fun stuff. It's a lot of fun. I'm so excited. They're very caring and nice to me. The staff member who gave the tour was very nice and outgoing and answered all my questions. She was very polite and considerate. The nurse that came over and talked with me said, "You're a good fit," and she was very polite and kind too. The dining area was very beautiful and very clean. The physical appearance of the facility was perfect."

"We visited Havenwood of Maple Grove. They had new buildings, so everything looked really clean. It was very bright. It looked like a really nice facility. The staff who gave me the tour was named Travis, and he did a really good job. I had no complaints. He accommodated our schedule by doing a tour on short notice. He did a really good job explaining the options. He was really responsive when we had questions and when we called him back. The food looked really nice. The menu looked better than other facilities. It looked like they had a nice food selection. I saw that there were some clubs that were meeting, and then I saw the health facility. There were some people doing classes in the health club."

"Suite Living Memory Care & Assisted Living of Roseville has 25 rooms, so it's much easier. It seemed like a nice place so it's where my wife decided to go to, but then every place has their problems. There were only three people to take care of all the 25 rooms and do cooking because a bunch of people called in sick. The food's kind of a coin flip, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's just not the greatest. They have the people playing Bingo, different kinds of board games, and Yahtzee. Majority of the staff is pretty good, but some of them are questionable. The room my wife is in suits her right now, but they supposedly have bigger rooms there. She has her bed in there, a table by the side of her bed, a chair, a small refrigerator, a love seat, and a decent-sized bathroom."
