"Everything was nice about Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. I’ve seen them all. It was good. They had plenty of activities. We didn’t talk to the staff. We had a tour guide. We met people working there, but we didn’t really have that much to do with the staff. They have a bus. First of all, it was the location. It was just nice "

"Covenant Living of Golden Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care was very nice. The room was a little bit bigger. It's in the process of being refreshed, so it's a bit in turmoil. The staff didn't seem to be very many and not as friendly as they were in the previous visits. With regards to cleanliness, the new area that we saw that was remodeled was very refreshing. The atmosphere was not quite as welcoming, but it was very nice. There were a lot of areas for people to congregate. And we like the size of the room and the layout."

"My sister will be moving into Suite Living of Anoka. It is smaller. I like the idea that she'll have more one-on-one time with people there. I liked how it's just one floor. If she eventually needs to go to memory care, the memory care is in another part of it. I like how the rooms are just studio. Their activities program and their therapy impressed me. The people so far that I've met there, even the residents, were very kind. The physical therapy staff and the activities directors came and spoke to her, and were just really, really kind. My sister really liked them. The atmosphere and everything there seemed just perfect for my sister. The staff during the tour was fantastic. They're accommodating her really well. They came to where she's at now with a nurse, and they asked her all different questions to see how she could get around, how she gets in and out of bed because she's in a wheelchair, how she moves her wheelchair, and how she gets in and out of the shower. They're just really attentive to her and checking her out. The activities director came and spoke to her, telling her that she could do this, and that, and so on. I could tell my sister was impressed with them and how kind they were to her. She's kind of introverted, where she doesn't reach out to people, and I liked how she was doing that with these people. She felt comfortable. It's very clean and very organized. The people that I've seen sitting in the lounge areas and in the dining room were laughing and teasing each other. I probably met four of the staff, and they were all very, very, very nice, friendly, outgoing, and welcoming of my sister. It was very pleasant. It was very nicely laid out. They went in and right away repainted that room for her, and already are thinking of where we could put this and that. They had some really good ideas. I liked it a lot."

"My sister stayed at Sunrise of Golden Valley for rehab respite for about 20 days. For her, it was not a good experience, but it was her own fault. She didn't want to be there, but I thought the place was OK, the staff was OK, and it was a very nice building. Her room was generously sized enough and clean, but very plain. It had a bed and a chair and a bathroom and somewhat looked like sort of kitchen cabinetry, but not a kitchen. I was only there for half an hour one time. I didn't see any of the activities or anything, but it looked like they had a lot of common areas for people to go and do things. She just was not a cooperative patient there, but the staff, the meals, and the facility were fine."

"Havenwood of Maple Grove was very airy, light, white, and open compared to the other two places I went that had more darker wood. I believe they're only a year old, so they have a lot of availability. We toured both assisted living and independent. The tour guy was good. The layout was more dispersed, but they had laundry in their units. They didn't have a pool table though, which was kind of a big thing for my mother's friend."

"I have found Suite Living of Maple Grove for myself. It's five minutes away from my sister. It's nice. It's one level. It only has 12 residents for assisted living and then 12 residents for memory care. They're very nice and really polite there, and I like that about them, and then I can volunteer there too anytime I want. I can do bingo, and if somebody's sick or doesn't wanna do it, I can do that for them. There's painting, coloring, and games, and all this other fun stuff. It's a lot of fun. I'm so excited. They're very caring and nice to me. The staff member who gave the tour was very nice and outgoing and answered all my questions. She was very polite and considerate. The nurse that came over and talked with me said, "You're a good fit," and she was very polite and kind too. The dining area was very beautiful and very clean. The physical appearance of the facility was perfect."

"Moun Zion is a very quiet and clean home with very caring staff, food quality is good, rooms are cleaned daily, staff are always willing to assist the resident. I love this home."

"My girlfriend’s mom is in Cornerstone. They have friendly staff and make sure that her mom feels comfortable when she went in not knowing anybody. They are willing to make new people feel welcome, like it is the first day of school, and make sure that they meet everybody, who all give them a warm welcome. They have activities, like games, bingo, and live music. They have a separate room for activities that is not far from the dining area. It has been only three or four weeks since she moved in, so she is still getting used to everything that is going on. They have their own prayer service, a place for massages, and a salon. They offer three meals a day, brunch on Sundays, and mid-afteroon tea, pie, and coffee. "

"My mom moved into Personal Care Senior Living - Andover. It's a brand-new facility. It just opened up two weeks ago. The people are really sweet and very nice. One of the nurses actually brought my mom to her doctors' appointment, and I thought that was really nice. They did make some stuff for 4th of July, and they made some bird feeder ornaments to hang on the trees. They keep them busy doing fun activities. There's a courtyard and they will be getting a hairstylist."

"I'll be moving into Abiitan Mill City. It was such a good fit for me. It had a lot of activities that I like to do. It had yoga and lectures, and it's right along the river with hiking paths. It's within walking distance of restaurants and grocery stores. I will have a one-bedroom, which is going to be different moving from a larger house, but I think it'll be good. They're right next to the Guthrie. There is a service where you can get a free ride at any place within five miles. You can go wherever you need to go to the YMCA (which is close), and you can go to the grocery store or whatever restaurant or whatever you need to do with a free ride, so that was appealing to me. It's also close to the farmer's market. I thought the staff have been very caring. They responded quickly to inquiries. They were very good. The place was clean, and it was kept up well. They have a community meeting room. I haven't eaten there. I will make my own meals, but they have a nice restaurant, and they have a coffee shop. You can ask for meals if you want to, but I'll make my own meals."

"I toured Stoney River Assisted Living & Memory Care. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and gave lots of good information. They didn't make me feel rushed. They were willing to take plenty of time to talk to me and answer my questions. I had a nice tour of the facility. The dining room was nicely setup. The building had a nice combination of bright places with a lot of natural light, but also areas that were a little more cozy feeling. It was a nice area. It had close access to roads, but yet was set in a place where there was a lot of good landscaping or scenery around. It was a pretty setting. You felt like you were away from the roads and things, but they were close by. It was during lunchtime, so they were starting to fill up the dining room. They said I was welcome to bring my mom back at a mealtime if I wanted. They had good laundry facilities. There was certain days of the week they had someone in for a beauty salon. They had games and books. They had an exercise room, a little theater room, and a nice little community room."

"I visited Suite Living of Ramsey. They were very, very nice except that a lot of them were from foreign countries, which I have no problem with at all, but my sister has difficulty speaking clearly due to a brain injury. I had a hard time understanding them, and I know that she would and that they would have a hard time with her because she doesn't speak very well. The staff was very friendly. They greeted me. When we did the tour there, they were all eating lunch, and they were just very, very nice. They have lunch with the people. They're there in case they start choking or if they need assistance. I liked it all. I just didn't think the communication was gonna work. Otherwise, it was a beautiful place. Everything is included in there. They don't get charged extra. The amenities are great. The activity director was bubbly, and they just had a Halloween party. She said, "I wish you would have been here an hour earlier. You could have been to our party." I'm in the process of filling out all that paperwork for them so that they can meet her needs. It is very clean. It is a smaller place, so I think they have more time to devote to the people. They have games. They have devotion hour every day, which I like. They also have music coming in all the time. They have a meet-and-greet activity or just hang out on a Friday night. They have crafts. I've seen some of the food that they had, and I asked one lady who lived there, "How's your food? How's your lunch?" She said, "It's so good here, the food's great." The place is very spotless, clean, and very well laid out."

Our house is located in the heart of the city on a quiet corner, where there are parks for our residents to walk to. Each resident has their own private room, fully furnished, including TV. Laundry is done everyday. The entire home is cleaned daily as well. Meals of choice are prepared for our residents, following any diet restrictions they may have. All meals are prepared and cooked fresh daily. NOTE: We do not allow alcohol, illicit drugs or pork. There is a big TV in our living room area where residents can gather to watch shows and movies, as well as converse and socialize. We provide culturally competent care for all clients. "We are now in The Wellstead. It is very good. Everything is fine and gorgeous. We don't have any complaints. It's beautiful building with beautiful carpeting and woodwork. The food is good. There are too many activities, so if you’re bored, blame yourself. It is newer building with newer facilities. They have a beautiful gym plus more services than other places we saw."
