"The person who toured us around Havenwood of Burnsville gave an excellent tour. We were there to look at their assisted living for my brother, and the place was beautiful. It's only five years old, so it's a lot newer. It was more expensive, though, about $300 more expensive than the place we had chosen for him. The rooms and the dining area were really nice. Everything I remember seeing in that place was really nice. They were our number one choice. There was also no problem with parking. They have a beautician who comes in and somebody who does foot care. They also have a lot going on for the patients. They have a library and different activities. I was very impressed with it."

"Mom moved to Suite Living of Inver Grove Heights and what appealed to us was the size of the place and the program they offer. It develops to be a little community among the residents. There's the ease of getting around and it is beautiful. Everything is on the ground level. Mom can get exercise by walking around inside because it's designed in a circular pattern and it's a gated area, and that's important to her. Mom was touched by the fact that they addressed her immediately by her first name and that they all knew her upon her arrival. So, that endeared them to her. They're also very loving and very attentive. The first time I visited her, I found her with 6 other residents playing a card and dice game with the activities director. She's had her nails done as well. There were two wings, one for memory care (where she is now) and one for assisted living. They interact with each other and I can find her on either side. It was a little expensive, but I am pleased with everything. They made the transition very smooth for her (much smoother than I anticipated)."

"I liked Havenwood of Richfield really well. I just didn't like it being on the other side of the river from me. The rooms were quite spacious, but the kitchens were probably a third of what the apartment was. For a one-bedroom apartment, it is kind of ridiculous to have the kitchen be so huge when they're providing two meals a day. I just felt that they could have had more living space. The living room/dining area was tiny. There was no living space. It's all kitchen. Everything was clean, neat, and well-organized. The staff was very friendly. Their social activities director's dad lived there. I think that's a pretty awesome statement that the staff would want or have their family members living there."

"My husband has moved into Brookdale Inver Grove Heights. It's a very homey place. It's a smaller facility and I just feel more comfortable there. My husband is getting a lot of care. He has a studio room. There's a bathroom. It's a little smaller because it's a studio, but it is very nice and it is right off the dining room, so we like that. It is close to the people and the living room. The food is excellent. They have a chef there and everything is from scratch. It is very, very good. The place is very clean and neat. The staff are very warm and very kind. They just seem nice. It is very good. They all seem very caring and interested in helping. In terms of activities, they have a lot of things going on."
