Overview of Carefree Living Burnsville
At Burnsville we have a younger population of residents. Their favorite things to do are be outside and play bingo. They are quite a lively group when the activities are offered.
Bingo, Music & Motion, Walking Group, Charades, Pokeno, bible study, stretch & strength, popcorn and a movie, coffee and current events, multiple other card and board games.
We are very close to Fairview Ridges Hospital & Clinics. We are within a 2-3 mile distance from Lunds and Byerlys and many other places such as Target.
We arrange transportation through local transportation companies.
Carefree has a variety of options on their menu. They change to a spring summer menu during those months and then do a fall and winter menu during those months to assist with more common meals during those months (soups during colder months, more fruit and lighter foods during spring/summer, etc). Heart healthy and good portion meals.
Memory care is secured. Front door is secured with residents receiving a code to access coming and going as they please.
Daytime and evening- 9 residents to 1 staff in AL; 7 residents to 1 staff in memory care
Nighttime- 20 residents to 1 staff in AL; 14 residents to 1 staff in memory care
Carefree Living meets the regulatory requirements for training upon hire and annually related to fire safety, dementia training, infection control, regulatory education and many more.
Memory care has a secured area that is only accessible by code. All other exterior doors are also secured via code access.

Our mother moved here eight months ago from independent living. Our family was looking for a safe home-like environment for Mom with plenty of creative activities and a warm and supportive staff. Mom needed a healthier prepared diet and a daily rhythm of life in her golden years. She found it here. She now has a comfortable apartment of her own, the privacy that she needs at times and a great staff to support her. Our family would highly recommend Carefree Living of Burnsville.

They don't vacuum they don't give them toilet paper but once a week they give the wrong meds and they let prescriptions run out. The hand sanitizer dispensers don't work some times weeks go by with no showers. The walls have blood on them for months no one seems to care

We toured. It was an older facility, and the things we didn't like about it were the elevators. They were too small to have someone trying to get in and out of the facility. To get the room the size that we wanted, we had to go up to the second or third floor. We didn't like multi-level living for my uncle. It was a great tour. It was much larger. It was an older facility, though. They showed us four different room sizes. There's nothing wrong with the facility; it just didn't fit our needs. It doesn't fit a lot of the needs of seniors that need mobility. The staff was great.

My friend feels comfortable here. What sold her was that they had animals come in and visit, and she's a dog lover. They serve three meals a day and have movies, bingo, outings to different restaurants, church service in the chapel, and sing-alongs on the piano. There's a big room with puzzles and card games. The staff is friendly and outgoing. They made my friend feel very comfortable.

I visited. What I need is an assisted living, but they won't take my wife, who needs full time long-term care. It's a nice place, but I don't want to be separated from my wife. I want to go to a place where we both can be there. It's a nice building, and it's in a nice place.
