Our house is located in the heart of the city on a quiet corner, where there are parks for our residents to walk to. Each resident has their own private room, fully furnished, including TV. Laundry is done everyday. The entire home is cleaned daily as well. Meals of choice are prepared for our residents, following any diet restrictions they may have. All meals are prepared and cooked fresh daily. NOTE: We do not allow alcohol, illicit drugs or pork. There is a big TV in our living room area where residents can gather to watch shows and movies, as well as converse and socialize. We provide culturally competent care for all clients. "Abiitan Mill City is my favorite. If I wanted to stay in Minneapolis, I would move there. It is located near the river. The streets are lined with trees. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance. The Guthrie Theater is within walking distance, too. Great transportation is available, from the light rail to buses. The rooms were beautiful with huge windows. They had lovely common spaces, indoors and outdoors. There were lots of arts in the hallways that I found to be very contemporary. There was a lively feeling about the staff and the residents I met. There were many happy people there."

"Suite Living of Burnsville was absolutely perfect in every way. I would give it a five all the way around. My husband didn't like it because he said it was too lonely, meaning it's very quiet. There aren't a lot of people. I'm going to move in there whenever I need it. It's absolutely wonderful and well taken care of. The facility is very new. They had a lot of activities and many choices. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. It would be really easy to have family members visit. They're just amazing. I saw the menu, and I was watching them set things up. They seemed well presented. They had a variety of different types of food."

The Lodge extends a supportive blend of expert care and comfort to residents and families in a homelike setting. The Lodge has three homes in the southern metro area. Homes range in capacity from 5 to 14 residents, but all are 100% private rooms and provide full service amenities. While the homes are intentionally casual and inviting, each bedroom is equipped with a specialized hospital bed to ensure total comfort and safety for our residents. "Covenant Living of Golden Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care was very nice. The room was a little bit bigger. It's in the process of being refreshed, so it's a bit in turmoil. The staff didn't seem to be very many and not as friendly as they were in the previous visits. With regards to cleanliness, the new area that we saw that was remodeled was very refreshing. The atmosphere was not quite as welcoming, but it was very nice. There were a lot of areas for people to congregate. And we like the size of the room and the layout."

"We toured two apartments in the assisted living area of Havenwood of Burnsville. We then talked to the director of sales and marketing, Kristin, and she was very helpful. I liked the location. It was very convenient to get into and out of. The building was very nice. The apartments themselves, the kitchens, the bedrooms, the woodwork, and the cupboards were all very, very nice and very up-to-date. They had several nice community rooms. The other thing I liked about it was that their rent for the apartments included things like two meals a day, housekeeping, and laundry. It just made it a little easier to figure out the cost. We didn't try the food, but Kristin invited us to stay for lunch if we wanted to, but we didn't have time that day. We met the chef. Kristin introduced us to him, and he makes everything from scratch. We looked at the menu and there's a nice variety of foods offered. The dining area was in a nice bright, sunny area too. We liked the layout a lot there. Their staff are long term and they try to do things for the staff to make them feel like they're part of the family. The facility was very clean and looked very, very nice."

"I have nothing but great things to say about the Lodge at Summit oaks in Burnsville. My mother is a resident there and has been for two years. I or my family members visit almost daily. Mom is well cared for and well treated by the entire staff. Our family would be lost with out them. Food always available and prompt, staff sits and visits with the residents, I will be the first to encourage any family looking for care for their parent or relative to check them out. "

"Ecumen Centennial House had a nice atmosphere. There was a nice sense of calmness, and the residents seemed well at ease at their places. The staff said hi to them even though she was on a tour with me. It was a neat experience. Every resident was addressed by name. The rooms were on the smaller square footage. However, they didn't have a two-bedroom available. They offer bingo and happy hours. They have walking activities, and afterwards, they have donuts and coffee. The dining area had a nice restaurant-style layout. The building was nice and clean outside. They were updating and fixing the unit that I toured, which was nice to see."
