I went to Havenwood of Burnsville. The building and grounds were beautiful. It's like new. Their fee included meals during the day and some of the stuff that my mom currently doesn't need because she's independent. That was one of the reasons that I took this one off the list. It's also near a busy highway. And so some of the apartments faced the highway and I knew my mom wouldn't like that. She's used to living in a quieter neighborhood. Not that you could hear, but that was kind of my two choices with that. I wasn't always greeted by the staff very warmly. It wasn't bad. It's just that every time I went to this one, because I went to this one again a couple of times, I just wasn't as warmly greeted. One of the persons felt kind of like, well, we'll be with you in a minute. Like, okay, that's great. You should just say hi to me first and say we'll be with you in a minute kind of rudely.

We toured two apartments in the assisted living area of Havenwood of Burnsville. We then talked to the director of sales and marketing, Kristin, and she was very helpful. I liked the location. It was very convenient to get into and out of. The building was very nice. The apartments themselves, the kitchens, the bedrooms, the woodwork, and the cupboards were all very, very nice and very up-to-date. They had several nice community rooms. The other thing I liked about it was that their rent for the apartments included things like two meals a day, housekeeping, and laundry. It just made it a little easier to figure out the cost. We didn't try the food, but Kristin invited us to stay for lunch if we wanted to, but we didn't have time that day. We met the chef. Kristin introduced us to him, and he makes everything from scratch. We looked at the menu and there's a nice variety of foods offered. The dining area was in a nice bright, sunny area too. We liked the layout a lot there. Their staff are long term and they try to do things for the staff to make them feel like they're part of the family. The facility was very clean and looked very, very nice.

Havenwood of Burnsville is a newer place. They've only been open a couple of years. It's very clean. I liked the structure of the place. The woman I met was very nice. We spent quite a bit of time talking and touring the place. Unfortunately, they didn't have an opening. So, I didn't pursue more than just doing the initial tour and the initial conversation. I think the newer memory care rooms are more open. I liked that they have a big living room and dining room in the middle with the rooms around it. I think the apartments that people were living in were very large, which is kind of a nice factor in terms of moving things in. I had a very positive feeling about it.

I toured Havenwood of Burnsville. I like everything about it. The rooms were very nice. All the appliances looked well-kept and brand new. It was clean. The staff was friendly and bubbly. They have all the amenities that my mother would need. They have a beauty salon where you can get her hair done. They have crafts you can go to. It was a very, very good tour. It was the second place I went to, and I was very, very impressed. They're accommodating. The staff who toured us was very personable. She had done a wonderful job. She is in the right spot. They have movie outings and shopping outings. My mother can go get her own groceries if she wants to. I think she might go to the movies. My mom loves playing cards, so she will probably join the card club, too.

My aunt moved into Havenwood of Burnsville. The main reason we chose this facility was because of the monthly rent. She is on Social Security, and it was in her price range. The facility is only three years old. It's very nice and clean. It's a good location for my aunt. The lady who showed us around was very personable, nice, and helpful. My aunt is in independent living. If she eventually needs it, she can get assisted living. Another thing we really liked about this facility is that she doesn't have to move from her room. She can get assisted living help in her same room. She wouldn't have to move to a different wing or building. I know that they have a deli, which is so nice, so my aunt can go down there. One thing that I was very disappointed in was that they only go to the store once or maybe twice a month. Not everybody has a car, and my aunt does not have a car. They should have weekly transportation for these elders to go to the store. They have different activities that they offer. They constantly have puzzles going on in there. They have Bible studies and a library. I was impressed that her monthly rent payment was considerably lower than other places. It's a newer facility and does offer quite a bit.

I went to Havenwood of Burnsville. It was very nice. Their apartments were beautiful. They have high ceilings, which is nice. The rooms were very nicely appointed. The restaurant was nice looking. They have a fitness center, a community room, a theater, a library, and a computer lounge. They emphasized health care if needed. They're in a good location for people who might want to come and visit. The place is just nice looking. It's worth looking at. The staff was nice, too.

My mother is in Havenwood of Burnsville. The facility is pretty much brand new, so that was nice. They had decent staff, and the food is good here. The chef's homemade soups are really good. In general, it's pretty good. My mom has a two-bedroom apartment and a very good-sized kitchen. The appliances are good. They have studios and one-bedrooms. They have activities like happy hours and bingo. They took people to the grocery stores. They have a beauty salon and a community room. They have specials for every dinner, or you can order off the menu. They have a little patio with grills and stuff, but it's small.

Havenwood of Burnsville was great. They showed me everything and I was impressed with the place. It's just there wasn't a lot of closet space and there was no dining room in the unit. You'd have to eat in the kitchen. I met Drew and he was great. He showed us everything, was very nice, very helpful, and very personable. He showed me a sheet that had all the activities that they did during the whole month. They have shows going on, a cocktail hour, and a room that you can use if you have a family event. I liked the picnic area, too. That looked nice.
