My mother is at The Sanctuary at West St. Paul. It's great. We're so happy with it. The staff are awesome as well. She is fine with the food; she's pretty happy with that one. They have activities every day. They have exercise, some bingo games, or some board games. They invite some singers with guitars. They keep them busy. The facility is great. It's almost brand new. It's only five years old, so everything is new there. The rooms are very nice and spacious. There are lots of windows and lots of lights.

I picked The Sanctuary of West St. Paul for my father. I liked the location. I liked their amenities. There wasn't anything I didn't like. They have a chef that provides a different menu every week and then they have an anytime menu that you can also choose from and they gave us a copy of both. They provide three meals a day. We only looked at the one-bedroom and it was about 600 square feet. The staff was good.

Extreme staff shortages, bad food that is often served cold. No activities planned outside the building. Management is disorganized and no communication between staff and residents. Frequently we have no cares staff so we go without paid services like baths, trash, and laundry. Washers and dryers are not maintained.

My mother moved into The Sanctuary of West St. Paul, and they do a really nice job. Her room is very clean, she's not doing as much, but they have a lot of activities. They have a movie room, a place for physical therapy, gameroom, and they have quite a few things for them. The staff is very cheerful, always smiling, so that's good.

We are working on getting my mother in The Sanctuary in West St. Paul. I like that it is a brand-new and beautiful building. They have one-bedroom apartments and accept Medicaid, so it is for middle- and low-income people. A lot of the places I visited that are nicer expect you to pay privately for at least a year, and there is really no guarantee. In a lot of the places the rooms are smaller, so this facility is fantastic. It is a little industrial, but I don’t think she will be going outside much, and if she does, I will be with her. The dining room is open all day long and you order off of a menu. They have crafts, movies, an exercise place, and a hair salon. It was a really pleasant visit. They are really busy right now because they are only at 40 percent occupancy, so it is hard to get some follow-up from them, but they have tons of applications. The staff is really nice.

The Sanctuary at West St. Paul was a brand new place -- only 6 months old. It was beautiful, and it wasnt overcrowded. They're taking people only when they have the staff to make sure that they're going to get exactly what they need. The person that assisted us was lovely and very informative. The residents were singing in the memory care, and some were playing interactive games. They also showed us a list of their daily activities. The dining area was very clean and really nice.
