What I like the very best about the Rivers was they had more windows than anybody else. They had the most windows, they were very nice and good-sized windows. The lady that gave the tour was very knowledgeable and very upbeat. For all the questions that I had asked her, which were many, she answered them with fluency. She was very helpful and she had been there the longest of the other two places I toured, as a manager. So she was really well rehearsed in terms of the facility, the staff, the food, the parking, all that stuff. The rooms there was also a very good size. One thing I really enjoyed was they had a center island with a sink in it, and it also had a dishwasher that looked out to the living room. We weren't offered to try the food, but the dining area was quite large. It's also connected to a really big social area with a big piano, and it's also right there when you walk into the place, so the main dining room was very open. They have buses that take them out for shopping, appointments, or activities. I have a friend that has been living there for a few years, and now she's introduced me to her friends who live there. So I go there and play dominoes almost every Saturday.

I toured The Rivers. I liked it. I thought about it. It's reasonably priced. I had a tour at lunchtime and I could sample the food. I was not that impressed. I thought it was adequate and best. The people that were in there were more in their 80's, 90's, and 70's, and I just wasn't ready for that yet. The staff was very nice. The facility was well laid out. It was close to each other. The proximity of that dining room and how it was physically located.

The Landing, their half hearted attempt at Memory Care was borderline abusive. There were no activities. Only a small percentage of the staff were good at their job and cared about the residents. Cleaning was minimal. Management seemed totally uninvolved. We could not move our Family member fast enough. We visited five other Memory Care Facilities. They were all far superior to The Rivers Memory Care.

I liked The Rivers, but I didn't like the accessibility. I liked things close and they didn't have it. Otherwise, I think that would have been a nice place. The facility was very attractive. They have nice grounds and I have a little dog. They have benches that we could sit on. So, that was all very appealing to me. The staff was very nice. I felt it was a very welcoming community and that probably would have been my second choice if I was going to go someplace. The dining area was also attractive and appealing. They had a beauty salon. There was flexibility. I could take my meals or I didn't have to. I liked the walking area, too. It just wasn't for me.

I love The Rivers. I thought it was a very nice campus. It was beautiful on the outside, with lots of areas to explore. The staff was wonderful. She walked us through what the process of moving looked like. Then we met the residents there, and they were all wonderful and happy to be there. You didn't see anybody sitting around looking miserable. The rooms were clean. They weren't huge, but they were good-sized rooms. The hallways were all nice, clean, and wide. It seemed like a well-run place. The meals weren't included in the base price. They had a library and a bridge club where they played cards. They have lots of group activities. It was built in the 1990s and still looks fantastic.

I went to look at the Rivers. The lady who gave the tour was really nice, but the building needs a lot of attention. The screens were brown, and the patio was black. They need to put some money into their building.

My overall experience with The Rivers is very positive. The woman who showed me around was kind and nice, and we saw everything that I might be interested in. She listened to me, and we saw places. I don't have good spatial relations, so seeing something makes a big difference for me. She introduced me to a couple of people. They were all nice and very welcoming. I wanted to know if there was a way to garden, not individually, but I could help with major gardens they already had. So everything was really good. I was looking at a one-bedroom, a den, and a two-bedroom, and I found out the two-bedroom was too big, and I didn't need it. The one-bedroom with a den was idyllic, but it doesn't come up very often. When I was looking at the square footage at the foot of the one-bedroom, it was very good, so I'm pretty sure I can fit my goods in it. It had enough space for me. The staff was very respectful. I loved the people. They were all super nice and super welcoming. I saw the dining hall and the activities areas. I saw the fitness room. They have sort of a soaking pool. There are some paths out back that are nice to walk on, but we didn't go on them. It was a little chilly. They had a lot of activities. Some are fitness related, there are some that would be for a bigger group, they're in the process of buying a bus to take people to the supermarket, and they have a book club. They have various things I probably want to try. The living atmosphere was excellent.

We toured The Rivers. The community was kind of depressing. The tour lady was over the top and a little bit too outgoing. She was rude to my dad. She didn't mean to be, but she offended him. She was nice, but at the same time, she was a little overbearing. They have independent living and assisted living. They also had a whole bunch of issues with food because of COVID, and she kept blaming everything on COVID. They didn't have a lot of choices for food. We saw the rooms. The ones that were remodeled were fairly nice. They did not have (which I found very weird) very accessible showers. They still had tub-type showers, which was not going to work for my dad. Overall, they need to listen to the person who has the needs, not their children. They need to engage with the person who would be moving in there and understand them.

The Rivers had a very traditional architecture on the outside, but it appeared to be a little bit tired. The carpet certainly shows its wear and tear. Otherwise, the dining room was very nice and all of the facilities, like the game rooms, etc., were all very comparable. Also, it was the most economical choice out of those that we visited. The person who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and very professional. She did a good job and treated us very, very nicely. Depending upon where you were, your room could have a very nice view if it was looking out towards one of the ponds, but you could also end up with a view that was nothing but a parking lot.

The Rivers was our second choice for my mother. We toured their assisted living and we loved it. They had excellent all-around staff and we even sampled cookies there. The fact that my mother had a friend in another facility kind of pointed us towards that facility. Otherwise, it would have been The Rivers for her. It's a beautiful facility. Being there when they were serving, the food smelled pretty good.

We have chosen The Rivers, and we are just getting ready to move in today. We toured it yesterday. It's perfect, it's beautiful, and the staff is great. They're absolutely very nice and great people. We looked at the 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom, and we have rented a 2-bedroom. The apartment is great. They showed us everything. Right now, with the Covid, they don't have much activity. Once the Covid is gone, I'm sure they'll open up again. They have a nice parking area for your vehicle. We love it.

My sister is moving into The Rivers. The good part is it's been recently remodelled, the spaces were a little bit larger than some others, it had a better floor plan, but I think they were a little expensive. One of the things I really didn't really care for was they go by a point system, they kind of hit you with the points afterwards, so there is like 15 points that they add on to whatever the base fee was, and that's without any specificity to it, it's just added on, so that kind of make their fees about the same as everybody else's. They're all about the same cost. The people are really good there. I think all the facilities, we talked to the activities director, they all seemed to be right on top of things. I think it would be a good place for her. Out of the ones she toured, that was the one where she felt most like home.

I like the activities at The Rivers. My dad is in assisted living, and the rooms are very nice. The price and food are average. They have a workout room with equipment and a hot tub pool. They have current events, chapel, and afternoon social break. They're in extreme leadership transition, and it's impacting their service.

We like that The Rivers is nicely maintained, and there are a lot of residents for my parents' social activities. The food is good, and housekeeping is provided, too. There is a lake outdoors, which is really nice.

Nice building but that's it. Management has turned over 3 times in 4 years. More concerned on who does what then attending to needs of residents. When we needed assisted care for my family member it was terrible. Mistakes in meds , terribly long respond time to residents and horribly expense for services provided. Had to call everyday to make sure my family member got services for which we paid for..Revolving door in aids and nursing staff. Would not recommend this facility at all. We moved her to a new wonderful place with great staff.

Although the facilities are nice and most of the staff are friendly, I would not recommend this place if you require any amount of assistance or anticipate needing help in the future, particularly memory care. The facility is not well run. From the beginning there were many misses, such as lost forms, etc. When our aunt moved to memory care, we discovered they were not really equipped to care for her. The staff called us frequently, often asking us to come and deal with our aunt. In one 24 hour period, we were called 3 times and had to go out to help. We decided to move our aunt to a different facility. She is now thriving. We are happy we made the decision to move her, even though it meant paying 2 months of fees to The Rivers after she relocated.

We moved into the independent living of The Rivers. It was excellent, we had a 2-bedroom, 2-bath, and the staff was very good; we are happy with them. They have Bingo and stretching, and they can take trips. This week, they're going to the Minnesota zoo. The food is excellent, and the dining area is really nice.

The staff at The Rivers was wonderful. The facilities were great, and the food was good. It was convenient and near major highways, so it was easy to get around. The apartments were nice. The only thing we noticed was since each unit had its own heating and air system, you had to pay extra for electric. The staff was wonderful. They were some of the nicest people we talked to.

The Rivers is a nice place with pleasant staff. Dad has an apartment with a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom. Dad can cook his own meals or go to the dining room to eat. I had breakfast at the dining room during Easter, and the food was delicious. They have a swimming pool, an exercise room, bingo, and card games.

We will be moving my parents into the Rivers this week. It is a lovely place. They work with you with what you want and are wonderful people. Johanna is fabulous. What is really good is that my dad will enjoy the hot tub, which is very important for him. The Rivers serves all three meals, but they have the option to choose. The staff is very good, answer every question, and up front with what we ask them and are available to answer.

I liked the setting of The Rivers because it's in a wooded area, and I liked the people that I met. They had exercise equipment, social hours, and different activities each month. They provide transportation to the doctors' appointments, but my doctor is out of the range that they travel, so I have to drive myself to my doctor. They showed me multiple kinds of rooms, and they are all adequate in size.

I would visit there and wasn't impressed with staff. Over hearing on how many quit seems to be a lot. Doesn't sound like employees get raises. Been 2 or 3 new owners in the last couple of years. Some of those apartments aren't big enough for wheelchairs. I wouldn't want to live there.

The tour was very good, and the facilities of the Rivers were good. The one thing that I saw was that their services part were kind of bundled together in large packages that if you needed a particular service, then you’d have to sign up for that particular package, so it wouldn’t be as cost-effective as it could have otherwise been. I think the Rivers would be really good. We used to live near there, and I think the thing about the services being bundled was the main drawback that we had. We went by most of the major facility things that they had, like their general store and exercise equipment and so on. They have some scheduled transportation for doctors' visits and so on.

The Rivers was nice. It's just that for the things that my mom needed, it came out more expensive. I thought that the place was a little bit too big for her, but it was a lovely place. The rooms could use some updating.

The Rivers was a very nice and clean place. The manager was very warm and personable. The grounds were very nice. The rooms were of nice size, and they were very nice. It had a good amount of activities available. The community is not very diverse, and for me, that means they are not reaching out to a diverse population or the pricing is an issue.

I toured The Rivers. I loved it. Of all the places I had been to, that is one I like the best. I like the whole thing. I think the staff was very nice because I came away with a good feeling about the place. I had lunch with her. The dining area was good. I think they have a bus that goes grocery shopping. Also, they have a heated underground garage, and to me, that’s a must because I’m handicapped, and even though this is not a handicapped building, I could get around in it.

The Rivers was very attractive, new, and fresh but farther away than we wanted to be. They had underground parking. It seemed like they did have special places to do things. The staff was very nice, pleasant, helpful, and made us feel welcome.

They have been at The Rivers for about three years now, and Grandpa’s only complaint is that there are a lot of old people, but he is 90. There’s a lot of activities to do and opportunities to make friends. We’ve been pretty happy with it, though it’s a bit on the expensive side. It’s a decent location on a highway that's a little busy, but they have really nice groundskeeping. It’s really lovely, and they are very thorough in cleaning the inside and keeping it up to date.

The Rivers was a fantastic facility. It’s just that the lowest price I could get for a room without a washer and dryer was like $2000 a month. They didn’t have anything. I would love to get in there because I did know some people, I knew the director of the entertainment. I had worked them before, and I wanted to get in there, but they couldn’t get the price down so I could afford it. It did offer a lot of amenities, but it seemed like everything was an extra charge. The grounds and the people who worked there were fantastic. It was a very nice place. I thought it was probably one of the best places that I have looked at, but I didn’t want to be down that far away from my children and grandchildren. The rooms were small, and they didn’t have a washer and a dryer. I like everything about it.

The staff was wonderful. We had a really good tour of The Rivers. We liked it. This is probably where my dad would have ended up if he did not have a stroke. I felt like it had really good security. It was well maintained. The grounds were beautiful. It was easy to get around inside. It was well lit.

So far, it has been good, but we've only had the service for two days. The staff is good and thorough. The rooms are spacious. My parents have a two-bedroom. For my dad, there are three meals a day. We like its location. They have buses that take them out, and they have in-house activities. I would and have recommended The Rivers.

Rivers Senior Community had both independent and assisting living facilities. The entrance had a homey atmosphere. It was a very large complex and they had lounge areas on several places inside the complex. The place was well kept and very beautiful. They had a small pool. They had libraries on different wings of every floor. They had activities that you can be busy with every day. The food was very good and the people that we talked there were very nice. They had cleaning crew that comes every two weeks to clean.
