"We moved into assisted living here. It's a brand-new building and it has so far been just fine. We're just kind of getting settled in. It's wonderful and it's really nice. The apartments are really nice. The staff is very good. The food and dining setup looks OK. They have a gym and craft room. They have an activities director who's doing a survey right now with all the new residents to see what activities they want. They offer daily grocery transportation and one-day-a-week rides to doctors appointments."

"Chapel View Senior Health & Living Senior Living Community was very nice. However, it is for somebody that is more interested in the spiritual aspects of aging. They talked about having services daily, and I can't be as enthusiastic about it. It did not appeal to myself and my son. They had separate independent living, and there was another area for assisted living. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice and accommodating. It was a gorgeous setting. They have a long picture type window. It was just beautiful to look at. The rooms were very appealing, but nothing stood out for me. There were a lot of people around, especially around the elevator, so they were coming and going from somewhere. They gave me a sheet of their activities. The dining area looked lovely. The surroundings were spectacular, but it did not appeal to me at all. I'm not interested to know that they provide church services and that kind of thing. It was lovely and clean. Everything looked very good on the outside, but it did not speak to me."

"RidgePointe Senior Living looks good, and we are happy with it. We chose it because of proximity and also because of the price arrangement that we had with them. They had a good woodwork shop. Everything that we needed was in the apartment that we are getting, with two bedrooms, a washer/dryer, and it appeared to be well maintained. They had dozens of different activities going on all the time like games, reading groups, study groups, and learning activities. The tour was done very professionally and personally, and I didn't have any complaints. She went out of her way to meet all of our questions and concerns."

"We chose Covenant Living of Golden Valley. We liked how happy everyone was, the involvement of people in the community, and the interactions that people had with each other. The residents were just interactive, happy, and welcoming. It just depends which room you get. Some have laundry, some don't, and it depends on the size of the room. But one thing about them, there's a buy-in option, but you can redecorate your room how you want it before you move in."

"We were treated very well at Cornerstone. I thought the staff was excellent. It’s close to grocery shopping, to our doctor, and all that stuff. It’s just a convenient location for us where shopping and everything else is. It was a very good place. They had something like a wait room, an exercise room, and a woodwork shop. They had just done some painting on the walls, and there’s new carpeting in the hallways, so it’s very excellent. There’s no smell to it; it’s very clean. I would say it would be worth checking out. "

"Benedictine Living has a continuum of service. My brother-in-law started there in assisted living. And there, they have assisted living units that are furnished, so you don't have to provide your own furniture. They provide all the meals and nursing people come in and make sure you take your meds and they evaluate you initially. So there's a nurse involved to check on you daily. They provide the thing that hangs around your neck, that's like an alarm or as a bell. But it turns out that he doesn't need all the nursing services. They were very accommodating. After the first half of the month when he was there, they moved him to a less expensive independent unit. And they provided him with the furniture he needed to stay there, which was wonderful. At that point, he paid separately for his meals. They had a $1000 sign-in fee, and they even waived to keep him there for a short time. They're brand new and they're right next to the hospital. Their staff couldn't have been nicer. My brother-in-law is very picky, and he thought the food was great. They have activities."

"The rooms are older and small. The care is moderately good. The biggest complaint is that we purchased new comfortable clothing for him and within a week all but one item we purchased “disappeared” never to be seen again. They also “lost” a sweatshirt that was very dear to him. It is obvious that they randomly distribute clothing to other patients as we often arrived and he was wearing items that were not his own. I would be very wary of this place."

"The tour I had at Lofts on Rose went good. The person who did the tour was quite nice. I didn't see too many other residents around at the time. There were a few people outside, but I didn't know if they lived there or not. The upkeep was good. They were pretty good-sized rooms. They have a gym on the top floor. I was mainly looking for a place that was comfortable and convenient, but the two-and-a-half-hour drive down and two-and-a-half-hour drive back home wore me out."

"My mother will be moving into McKenna Crossing. They seem to have everything that she may need now and possibly in the future. They've got very friendly staff and the units were nice. Everything was nice. Even where they go to eat, they've got someone that comes in and plays the piano. They've got cards and bingo, a bus that comes in regularly and can take them on different field trips that they have scheduled, a gym, a bank, and a salon. They've got everything a person would need."

"After looking at numerous living options for a family member, we were blessed to find New Perspective Senior Living of Prior Lake. We immediately knew New Perspective was a great fit for my Aunt. Coleen, the sales director was very thorough answering all of our questions and helped us through the entire process. My aunt's apartment is so beautiful and spacious, with a full kitchen, dining room, bedroom, walk-in shower, and in-unit laundry room! They have wonderful amenities. Charlotte, and the nursing staff have managed to successfully monitor the care of the residents while keeping them virus free. My aunt is genuinely happy and has commented to me several times about how caring Bridget, the director, and all the care staff are. She has been able to get the help she needs at New Perspective, and still maintain her independence."

"I toured The Grainwood Senior Apartments. I was very disappointed because the woman that I had talked to, who took me around, went and rented the place that I wanted. She said I couldn't look at it because somebody was living there. I tried calling her five times, she never returned my phone calls, and I'm going to report her to their management. It was very nice. It's newer, it's about three to four years old, and the entryway and everything are very welcoming. I went twice. The first time I went with my son and she started to give us a short tour because she was busy, and she did say that she would have an apartment available in a few weeks. So I kept calling her and she never answered. And then she told me when I went there again that her branches is out. I didn't fill out a form and give them the money because I didn't even see the place. And the second time I went, I was interested in the three-bedroom, and she said I couldn't see it until the woman moved out, and that was the beginning of the month. So I called at the end of the month, several times, and then when I talked to her she said she rented it. I said, "You should have called me, you have my name, and you knew that I wanted this place, and you wouldn't let me see it." She says, "Well, you didn't put the money," but I'm not putting money down unless I see the place, so I was very upset with her, and I'm going to make a complaint because twice I called at least ten times and she never returned phone calls. One of the bedrooms was a little small, but that was the two-bedroom, and then I wanted the three-bedroom and I never saw it. Overall, I liked the place. They don't really have a dining area because they don't serve food, but they have an area where there's a small little kitchenette; but you can cook there, they have a microwave. They have an exercise room there."

"Founders Ridge is excellent. I think the staff is good. We have movies and concerts, and they do take the residents to the malls, grocery, shopping, and stuff like that, but I don't do that because I have a car. "

"I am a resident of Prairie Bluffs Senior Living, and I'm in the assisted living. My daughter picked this out because she wanted me to live here. It's fine. I get my meals, and they bring my medication when I need it. We have some activities like bingo on Thursdays, and then there's a book club that meets every third week. There's an exercise room down in the basement and a beauty shop downstairs. We're having a party today at three o'clock. The food is good, although every day is not as good as other days. The staff is fine."
