"We chose Covenant Living of Golden Valley. We liked how happy everyone was, the involvement of people in the community, and the interactions that people had with each other. The residents were just interactive, happy, and welcoming. It just depends which room you get. Some have laundry, some don't, and it depends on the size of the room. But one thing about them, there's a buy-in option, but you can redecorate your room how you want it before you move in."

"My brother has moved into Heathers Estates, and so far, it's been good. He's only been there for about a month. It fits his personality, and it's homey. The staff had a very welcoming attitude and seemed to hit it off with him very well. They have lots of activities going on and a menu that is very good. They have a higher percentage of men, so they are more no-nonsense in decoration and feeling. They have a men's group, which is uncommon to find. They have a nurse that comes in, a pool for water aerobics, a van that goes out to different places, and potlucks. It's a very good place for him. "

"I toured Vernon Terrace of Edina. The tour guide was very nice. I liked that it had a secure place to enter the building. Once you got in there, you had to check in and let them know what you were doing there. The lobby was very nice. It was right off the dining room and another little room where you could have like family meeting and even family dinner if you wanted to. The tour went well. It was a very nice facility. The staff members were very good. It was a little bit older facility, but it was still very nice."

"Our grandmother choose this as the place she wanted to live in, after selling her home of 60 years. It was decorated well, there was new carpet and appliances in her apartment, and it was so convenient for her to either have her meals downstairs with her friends or to spend a quiet evening in her apartment. The laundry facility was next door to her apartment as well as the garbage chute. I was impressed with the security of the building, no one was allowed in or out with checking in and this was available 24 hours. The staff was friendly and helpful to her, when required. They definitely keep track of the residents, as when she had not picked up her mail one day, they first called her apartment and when they received no answer, they went into the apartment. This was a lifesaver as she had fallen and broken her hip a few hours earlier and was unable to reach the phone nor cry for help. They saved her life, in my opinion. She was a resident there for 12 years. "

"I liked the feel of The Waters of Edina; it was open and sunny and had a very nice mixture of people. The staff was wonderful. They offered tons of activities to do, like different kinds of exercise classes, water aerobics in the saltwater pool, and outings to shows and grocery stores twice a week. They had big, beautiful rooms. I can look out the bedroom window where I'm moving into and can see the gorgeous Colonial Church of Edina and a pond. There's a very lovely shopping center nearby called 50th & France. "

"Trillium Woods has a concept where you buy-in and pick an apartment depending on how much you want to pay. Once you've moved in there, if you need to go to memory care, you just transition over and it would all be included in your fee, instead of the month-to-month. That means, if you decided you didn't like living there, it would be harder to get out of that contract. It was a new facility. The layout was nice. They have a set of apartments that were small, but very expensive. Then there are beautiful townhouses that also cost a lot of money. They have everything you want. There's a gym, a salon, and a spa. It was like a country club-type of atmosphere. It has beautiful surroundings with a lot of woods around and a lot of walking paths. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. The residents we met were very nice, too."

"I am thinking of moving to Amira Choice Bloomington. It's brand new, it's upscale, it's very nice. The staff was very friendly and they have a lot of activities. It just seemed to be a nice place that I would be happy at. There's an exercise room on every floor, they also have garbage and recycling on every floor. I will have my own balcony, which is a considerable size, my own laundry facilities, and big walk-in closets. I just met the receptionist, because this place is manned 24 hours so there's always somebody there. And she was a young girl, but very, very friendly and outgoing, and the sales manager is a very outgoing young guy too. I also met the recreation director and they were very nice. It all looked very nice because it's brand new. But they had lots of places where you could sit and visit with somebody else, or be by yourself if you want to, so you didn't have to stay in your unit."

"I am in Summit Place, and it's very nice. There is a lot of amenities. The staff is very friendly and very good. The food is very good also. We have a dining room for night eating, and we a have bistro for lunch if you want to go. What really stands out are the amenities, and everybody here is very friendly. It is a very nice place to be. It is a very good all-around place. It has lots of things. They have movies and classes. "

"We visited Cherrywood Pointe since we were looking for a place to move in. The location was very important to us and it was near our daughter. "Everything about Timber Hills was very nice. Their rooms were very nice, they have different rooms, and some are larger than others. We have seen both the two-bedroom and one-bedroom. We looked at all of their facilities from independent to assisted living to memory care. The staff member who gave us the tour was very nice. The dining area was very nice, even though we didn' have food or anything, it's comfortable. It's not what you call large, but it has a nice size to it and accommodates the people that are there, so it works very well. There was a list of activities that they have based on individual interest, so they have many activities. The surroundings or atmosphere is very nice."

"I have been extremely pleased with my stay here and hope for ,any more years with you. I have no complaints, but as I understand it each until received $150 per month. I never use all of that and would love to throw my unused portion into a pool of some sort to be distributed to those who could use it, especially those how, as a couple, try to eat on that amount during the month.
