"I toured Havenwood of Minnetonka and as a 73-year-old, widowed, retired from public service and a veteran, I was very impressed. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I noticed there are lots of men with a strong veterans group, which really stood out. I love that it's age in place community, where meals are included in the rent, and the underground heated parking and storage are reasonably priced. The building looks brand new, modern, and clean. I would highly recommend Havenwood of Minnetonka to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and well-run place for themselves or their loved ones."

"My mother was a resident in memory care. She had advanced Alzheimer's and needed extra care. We were so impressed with the care and kindness the memory staff gave to my mother. We were also very impressed with how welcoming and thoughtful all staff at Gable Pines were to my mother and to our family. When walking into the front door, we knew that this was home for my mother. It is a beautiful facility who cares about their residents."

"I just moved to the independent living community of Elim Shores in Eden Prairie, and it had everything that I wanted. It's a Christian-based center with good management and an excellent care facility with excellent meals. I don't eat that much, but they offer three meals a day and do a good job in that area. It is also affordable. I have a one-bedroom apartment, and the bedroom is just as large as the living room. Plus, it has a full kitchen and a bathroom, of course, with all the facilities, and plenty of closet storage space. The staff is excellent, and the cleanliness is very good. They keep the departments up. They don't even let me do the vacuuming, and even take care of my laundry for me. They do an excellent job for proper service. We have very good activities that are very Christian-oriented. We even have our own spirit-filled Christian pastor that's here to share with people and have good music programs."

"If I need to place my mom, Ecumen Seasons at Maplewood is where she'll go. It looks very comfortable, very clean, and very friendly. It's just a beautiful place. The dining area is absolutely beautiful. It's clean and fresh. Everything is nice. The staff member who gave the tour was great. She went through everything with me and showed me everything. She was very thorough and very good."

"The staff was very knowledgeable and very nice at The Wellstead. The facility was very clean. The rooms were gorgeous. They have real plan in place to keep residents up and moving. The facility was bigger, so it was not as personal but still very nice. All of the people seemed to be really happy, clean, and smell good. They had many activities, physical therapists, speech therapists, and counselors."

"It was nice and clean. They had a very nice dining room, and all the meals were included. They had activities. They each had their own deck, so they could sit outside. The grounds were beautiful. They had a lot going, and there's a lot of services. I saw a studio and a one-bedroom. They had a microwave, a smaller freezer, a refrigerator, and a lot of closet space. The shower was a handicapped setup. The staff was very knowledgeable, very nice, and easy to talk to. They said we could come back and have lunch if we wanted to. They were very kind. I liked it."

"It was easy to get to Keystone Place at LaValle Fields. I was impressed. It was a multi-level place that's closer to my sister's and my place, which made a big difference to me. It was a very lovely-looking place, and I saw some of the people walking in the hallways. I got a very nice tour of the place. They showed me a studio room but when I told them the kind of care mom needed, they told me she had to be in memory care, so they showed me the memory care where the people stay and I was just kind of shocked because she would be isolated away from people. It was a nice place for people who would like to live in the apartments. It was a brand-new, very pretty place, but it was not appropriate for my mom. When we were in the memory care dining area, the residents were doing some activities. It looked like an excellent place for someone who does not need the kind of care my mom needed. "

"Havenwood is a lovely, modern and well-maintained community with kind, engaging staff and many wonderful amenities included. The dining room is spacious and the two included meals per person/per day are of excellent quality, quantity and variety. We are so happy we found this location for my wife’s parents. "Benedictine Windermere Way was wonderful. The person that toured us, Randy, was super accommodating and was just a great person. The place was beautiful. Absolutely stunning. It's new so the rooms were beautiful. They were quite a bit smaller, but they're still gorgeous. They have a wonderful entrance in that lobby area. It was gorgeous, too. We waited for the meals, but they had a shortage of staff so we did not try the food, but the food looks fabulous. People raved about it. It's prepared by a chef and everybody we talked to loved it. Their dining area was beautiful. There's a fireplace. It's quite large with lots of windows and it's kept up very clean. They have physical therapy and different classes, like exercise classes. They have an outdoor patio. They were grilling out there and the activities looked great. They had an activity down in the theater room that had a big screen on it. They had different get-togethers, happy hours, and special occasions. They have a chapel that's much larger, and they have music playing. They have singalongs and the chapel looked beautiful."

"The main reason we didn't take Ecumen Seasons for my mother-in-law is because they didn’t have any one-bedrooms available. They only had a two-bedroom, and you have to be on their waiting list until a one-bedroom came up. It has everything included into the price, and it would have been the most convenient for us because we live in Apple Valley. They have a lot of activities at this location. It was the most expensive of the ones we looked at, and they had the most things available, but they had a lot of meals included also, which is something that we learned from the past would be wasted, and they didn't have any one-bedroom available. So that was also a reason to not go with them, because the smallest thing they had available immediately was a two-bedroom. They were very nice and thoroughly explained everything, so it was good. It was a nice place, not just the right one. "

"We toured Oak Ridge Place. What I liked about it was the staff, friendly staff, and very knowledgeable. We were able to meet some, and what is important to us is they have nurses 24/7. We got to meet the person that's in charge of the dining room, which is really nice, and some of the residents. It was just a very pleasant, pleasant place. She took us to three different apartments and stuff, and a very, very nice, very open layout and stuff. I was really very pleased about the way the restrooms were, how much more safe it is for a person to take a shower with all the handles, and the cut out where they don't have to go over a tub, they can just walk into it. It was really nice. I liked the storage area that they had, so it was just a really nice place. They are pet friendly. The maintenance, they're 24/7 also. If you have problems, there's staff there, if you need them for questions. But one of the things that was really nice is that each resident gets one of those alert bracelets or a watch. If something should happen immediately, in the rooms themselves, there's like two or three buttons that they can push for immediate response from the staff there. I love that the mailboxes were indoors and not out. I thought that was really awesome."

"Havenwood of Buffalo was a nice place. It's positioned where one could see the lake in some of the apartments. The facility was beautiful. The visual inside was all new. The staff was excellent and they had all kinds of activities. The location was probably the biggest thing. It's in the city, so it's convenient to the grocery stores and everything."
