We chose it not only because it is closer to my husband and myself, but it provides rides to dialysis that she has to go through three times a week and also to all her doctor appointments. The staff is very wonderful and accommodating. There are great people out there. She loves her one-bedroom apartment. They have two meals a day, and she loves it. She goes down for bible studies, and they have other activities, like bingo. "

"I toured Riverwood Village. The people were very informative and very friendly. It's nice and clean. It's a beautiful setting. There's a very comfortable feeling when you walk in the door. Their apartments are very nice. Everything is conveniently located and easy for elderly people to get around. They have a lot of activities and things for you to do. There's a library and a lot of community get-together type things. It's a nice place. My sister and I talked when we left and I told her, we've got to keep this in mind when we get older because we both liked it very much. The staff who toured us is Marie, and she is wonderful. She's in a job that she belongs to. She's wonderful with people, and she is good with the elderly people. I saw some interaction between her and some of their clients who live there, and she is phenomenal. It's a very small community and it's individual living, and so they do their own cooking and stuff. When you walk in there, you feel like you are on an elegant vacation. It's very warm, very comforting, beautiful and clean. We fell in love with it. It's a nice place."

"Roosevelt Garden Estates was a smaller building, which made it feel a bit more home-like. We were able to see a 2-bedroom apartment with a den, which was very adequate in size. It was laid out nicely. It had a balcony, a washer and dryer, and everything in it. The kitchen size was nice, too, because it was an open kitchen with just an island. This made it feel bigger because it was almost part of the living room, even though it was separated by tile flooring and wood flooring. The bathroom was a nice size, too. The manager took us around and that went well. She came to us right away and showed us the apartments, and the areas for activities and eating. The residents were playing some games in one of the rooms and they had different social things that go on. They had a bus service. The campus was nice, and they had a garden outside where you can plant things in. It was located within about a 4-minute drive to get to anything that you want in Cambridge."

"My brother has moved into Lindstrom Senior Living in their memory care. The staff is excellent. Everything is very nice and he's very content there. The only issue I had is the increase in rent was over $2,000, and that's a lot of money in my opinion. The care is wonderful. He has no complaints and he's settled in. He only has memory issues. Otherwise, physically, he's just fine. He seems to be real happy with the food. He's not eager to do the activities, so they convince him to come and join them. They're very good about it. Cleanliness is excellent. The service is really good. Value for money is very good. They're attentive."

"The Ecumen Parmly (Margaret S Parmly) is actually a very wonderful place, very clean, friendly, and nice. They do have assisted living, and we are trying to get my mother in there. She went in there Thursday last week, and the people working there were very friendly. It is very clean and very beautiful. It’s a large facility, but each section has its own wing. They have entertainers that come in, and they have TVs. The atmosphere was very good. The room is not that bad; they have like six people in there and each has plenty of room. She has her own bathroom, TV, a chair, and a table. She gets assistance getting to the wheelchair and then to the bathroom. They come very quickly when she pushes the button, and then the person that comes in would do wound care. They are very good, and they listen to her. "
