"My parents moved into Lindstrom Senior Living. We chose it because of the location and it's a newer building. Their apartment seems excellent. We haven't had any issues or problems, and the layout of the apartment is very nice. They have a calendar of activities that they do on a weekly or monthly basis. They have a library, a dining room, and a weight room. It's on the lake, so they have lake access with a dock and they might get a pond soon and tours of the lake. They have a one-bedroom with a den and a single bathroom. The staff is friendly, interactive, and helpful. Right now, my parents are still preparing their own meals."

"We choose Arbor Oaks for my sister because it is very nice and new. It is also close by to where her daughter lives. It has a homey feeling. The staff is very nice and very caring. The food is very nice. She's in a one-bedroom apartment and it is very spacious. They have a lot of activities. They have exercise programs, bible study, bingo and special parties. They go out to lunch or dinner once a month at a restaurant. They took them shopping. They had some cooking stuff every now and then. I liked that she could stay in her apartment even if she ran out of money. "

"Cherrywood Pointe of Forest Lake may work out the best for my friend. The units were very nice, not quite as big as the other place, but the price was also more reasonable. It’s in a better location in terms of having a view. We were there when they were having lunch. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and the people we talked to said the food was delicious. We walked through the library, it was lovely, and there were people doing a puzzle. We also went through a workout room, that was very nice, with a unique “jungle gym” for seniors that was made by a local company, for balance. They also have a hair salon."

"Elk River Senior Living was very nice. They were very friendly, it was a beautiful place, but cost was an issue for us. It was brand new. We would have been the first people moving in. It's gorgeous, but my mother-in-law felt like the bedroom was small. They have a library and transportation."

"We were able to reserve a spot at The Farmstead for my aunt. I thought it was very nice, very well kept, and the people seemed happy. I thought the rooms were nice. I liked the layout. I liked that they had a separate little kitchen area. The staff who gave us the tour was very helpful. They had activities like music, bingo, little classes, crafts, exercises, and those sorts of things. "

"I did a tour of Riverview Landing Otsego. They had a large open layout, and it was very bright. Their residents seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were able to talk to a tenant before our tour began, so we got some individualized knowledge from someone who lives there. I would rate the room a four out of five. It was a little smaller in size and not quite as new as the previous place I visited. The staff who gave me the tour was very helpful, and she was very friendly. We witnessed a bridge club in progress. Also, they had a better health facility there. There was a court for pickleball and a pool. They had nice facilities, and people were enjoying them."

"My sister and I really liked The Homestead of Anoka. It was a wonderful community. My mom would have been able to have her dog and take her outside for walks. The dining room was absolutely fantastic. They had a store to shop in. The staff was very attentive, and when you needed help, they would come. They only had four apartments for low income and there was a waiting list."

"I went to Crest View Senior Living in Blaine and all I saw were very small units. I got information on all of their other places. They were clean and nice. There were some women watching a movie in one of the rooms. I wasn't paying too much attention to the amenities because I'm kind of an a-social person. I've been alone for so long that I entertain myself. It was a nice place and seemed to be well taken care of. I only saw the person inside the door and then the fellow who gave me the tour. They were very friendly and helpful. I didn't have any complaints. They had a library and a game room."

"I visited Benedictine Living Community Anoka. They were very caring. Our experience was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were reasonable. The atmosphere was quiet. It was like our number two choice. We liked that one. They've got everything. They do tours, and it looked like it'd be a pleasant place. It's three floors and they had a large dining area on the main floor. They had a care unit there, so if somebody needs advanced care, they've got that there, too. They were going to do renovations."

"My brother ended up going to Mary T - Margaret Place. He wanted to be in the Coon Rapids area, so he chose this one. He moved in July 1st. This facility is handicapped access assisted living apartments. They have one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. For my brother, the one-bedroom is a great choice. Their staff is very helpful. They made sure that he was welcomed when he first came in. They have a lot of activities but because of his disability he doesn't participate in as much. He does participate in meals, shopping trips, those types of things. "

"The director invited me to come over to the facility and I walked in and I liked the place. We have all kinds of things that you can do here. We have Bible study, creativity classes, dance exercise classes, and there's Yoga class. They also have parties off and on for birthdays. The staff are wonderful and very kind. They know everybody and it feels like it’s a miracle to me."

"Autumn Glen Senior Living had that homey feeling, but it was a little bit darker there. The layout of the apartments or the one bedroom they had was a little more basic, but it's a very nice facility. My in-person visit was very inviting and very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and nice. We sampled a cookie of theirs, and it was very tasty. The thing I liked about the facility is that they always offered things like hamburgers or fries or something that was always there for every meal, just in case the meal of choice was not the one that you wanted that evening. The units were kind of small and simple."
