Riverview Landing - Otsego

I toured Riverview Landing - Otsego, and I will be moving to their assisted living in a week. It's just one big building with four floors, and I will be in a little apartment on the fourth floor. Meals are included if you pay extra. The place looks clean, as far as I can tell right now. The person who showed me around was very nice. She's the only one I've met, and she's very good. They have a pool and a pickleball court. They also have activities and take the residents to outings.

We chose Riverview Landing-Otsego because my husband is just young and they have a lot of amenities that were pleasing for him. They have a pool, a fitness area, a pickleball court, a basketball court, a putting green, a lot of walking paths, and biking paths that are available for him. Then they have a library and just so many amenities. They took an excursion on the Lake Minnetonka (a boat ride) and then they have many days where they have cards, bingo or bridge. They also have bowling, and just today, I think they went to the state fair. They planned a lot of events. I'm also able to join the wellness center that they have so I can work out with him, help him, and swim with him. So, there were just so many things that were available. Their staff is amazing. They're so friendly and so accommodating, and he's very happy with the food. The place is beautiful. You feel like you're walking in to a hotel rather than a facility for care. One thing that I really like about the care is that the nurses don't look like they're nurses. They wear plain clothes with a name tag. So, it doesn't look like you're in nursing care. It looks like it's your home rather than a care facility. I like that part of it and he likes that part of it, too. The amenities are amazing and the building is beautiful. I toured a lot of places and called on them to find out what their costs were, and the costs at Riverview Landing-Otsego are very comparable considering everything that is available for my husband. They're fairly priced for what they have to offer.

I did a tour of Riverview Landing Otsego. They had a large open layout, and it was very bright. Their residents seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were able to talk to a tenant before our tour began, so we got some individualized knowledge from someone who lives there. I would rate the room a four out of five. It was a little smaller in size and not quite as new as the previous place I visited. The staff who gave me the tour was very helpful, and she was very friendly. We witnessed a bridge club in progress. Also, they had a better health facility there. There was a court for pickleball and a pool. They had nice facilities, and people were enjoying them.

My mom moved into Riverview Landing Otsego. It is a phenomenal facility. I love the staff. They are very personable. We have gotten to know many of the caregivers and nurses that work here. We really like the residents. The food is really good, and they have a lot of options. They have different activities going on every single day, like live music, bingo, movies, and swimming. My mom's room is spacious and very comfortable. She has a meal plan for breakfast and lunch, but she can still add a meal for dinner for a reasonable price.

We visited Riverview Landing for independent living and assisted living. The apartments are very homey, whereas everywhere else felt like they were an apartment. The views from the apartments here are gorgeous. And they offer the same services as everyone else offers, but we've been there three times now and every time, there are always residents out doing their activities. And these are not just assisted living residents, but also able independent seniors, which is huge. They also have a wellness center that has a heated pool and a gymnasium and all sorts of classes. They have a library, they have a pub, they have a chapel, a beauty salon, and massages. They have manicures and pedicures, underground paring, restaurant-type meal plans, and a game room. They have two big outdoor patios with barbecuing facilities, then they have a mile-long nature walk that goes along the Mississippi River. I asked a bunch of different residents about it and no one said anything negative.
