"CentraCare Monticello St. Benedict's Community was a very nice place. All of it. The layout, the staff, and the people that worked with you. The rooms were very clean. They had some nice courtyards and a big old theater where they watched movies. The menu looked very good. The staff was very friendly, very approachable, and willing to help."

"I have a senior waiver from the county, so they do come in and they help me with cleaning and laundry. I have my own nice size apartment with a living room, small kitchen, and quite a large bedroom. They have a few activities, but they don’t bother you to join -- they do invite you though. They just switched management and we got a very good deal with the new man in charge. It’s a beautiful building. If anyone were looking for a senior apartment I certainly would recommend this place. They have a therapist and exercises four times a week. They have an exercise room and an equipment room. They have different public rooms such as a library and a theatre room with a big screen TV and comfortable reclining chairs. It’s right on the Mississippi River and right outside my window I can sit and watch the swans all winter. The grounds are kept very pretty and there is a nice patio with lots of plants. "

"We visited Willows Landing Senior Living in Monticello and saw their independent living community. We are most interested in it because it's very close to my son. We're also impressed with the place, and everything looks nice. We talked with the marketing director. She was very gracious, answered our questions, and showed us a lot of places. They had a chapel, and they had another room where people were doing chair zumba. They had some exercise equipment and other things in there, I guess, for people wanting to have PT. She also showed us several different kinds of apartments and suites, and they look very nice."

"My wife was at Engel Haus. It was a excellent care for the time she was there. The people that were working there were very helpful. Everything went fine with them. It was clean, and it was okay. There was good food and regular meals three times a day. It was well handled, too. They had a library, they had therapists who come in to visit my wife every couple of days to help her with her health problem. They had bingo and they had a band playing at different times. They had a card game going for the people, too. They had medical people and nurses who check in on my wife routinely. They were always checking to make sure that everything was okay. For the money, it's good."

"I like The Legacy of Saint Michael Senior Living because of its friendliness. The people are very, very congenial here. They do a great job and the place is clean. I really enjoy it. Their food is almost gourmet. They have a five-star kitchen. It is phenomenal. They have a meal for everybody that wants it for every lunch, breakfast, and dinner, but you can also substitute that with other items if you don't like what they're cooking. They just do a great job and they've got nice apartments. They're clean and they keep up the place beautifully. They have a lot of fun activities. They have bingo, musical, entertainment, and happy hour. They keep us busy. Pamela is really excellent. She is fantastic."

"I toured Riverview Landing - Otsego, and I will be moving to their assisted living in a week. It's just one big building with four floors, and I will be in a little apartment on the fourth floor. Meals are included if you pay extra. The place looks clean, as far as I can tell right now. The person who showed me around was very nice. She's the only one I've met, and she's very good. They have a pool and a pickleball court. They also have activities and take the residents to outings."

"Elk River Senior Living was very nice. They were very friendly, it was a beautiful place, but cost was an issue for us. It was brand new. We would have been the first people moving in. It's gorgeous, but my mother-in-law felt like the bedroom was small. They have a library and transportation."

"We liked the way The Wellstead of Rogers & Diamondcrest Senior Living presents itself as a home, as well as the services they offer, and the availability of everything like recreation and fellowship. Their one-bedrooms were not big nor smaller, but they would work. The place was clean. They had an underground tunnel from memory care to senior living, which was nice. We enjoyed all the aspects of the presentation, such as the layout of the rooms, its size, and cleanliness."

"My mother-in-law is in Heritage Place. We chose it for the friendliness and the people there. We liked the size of the room. It's well kept, just exactly what we needed, and the cost was a big factor. They have an activity room, they have coffee, they play bingo, they bring in food occasionally, and connect with the senior center in Rogers for other activities."

"We toured Legacy of Delano. They were very engaged. The staff were very friendly. I enjoyed visiting with the residents. They seemed to have a nice social interaction thing going on, and I like that. They have excursions. However, it did not have some of the things that are on our wish list. For example, they don't have covered parking, heated parking, or anything like that. Nevertheless, I like the community, and I love how close it is to us. The dining area was nice. They have some accommodations for people that need meals, which is good, too. I want to get to the point where my parents don't have to cook and do some of those things, but I like to have the option that there's somewhere in the building where they could get something to eat and not have to leave. The rooms were nice but small. The staff is doing a good job with what they do. I don't have anything negative to say about the staff. They were awesome. They were friendly, informative, and fun. They took a lot of time with me, too, and I appreciate that. They have a lot of stuff going on for the residents. "

"I've visited The Homestead at Anoka. The staff seemed to be helpful and very knowledgeable from what they showed us at the time. The upkeep was excellent, everything was clean, and it's a newer establishment so it's easier to take care of. I talked to some of the residents, they seemed happy and comfortable with what they have. There was a large group in the activity hall doing activities. It was the best one I've seen."

"We like the activities that are provided at The Plaza by Vivie. The staff was very friendly, and the room sizes were good. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable and encouraging. The building was very clean, well kept, and updated. We toured a one-bedroom and a studio, and even the studio is a good size. The atmosphere was very open and clean."

"I moved into The Legends of Champlin. I love it. It offers a lot, and the apartments are topnotch. It's very, very clean and bright. They have exercise, get-togethers, and cards. I've only been here a week, so I'm still finding out more. They also have a theater, arts and crafts, an exercise room, and a beautiful patio out back with two large gas grills. They also have a huge, great room for get-togethers. Last night we had the birthday party for the people who had birthdays in June. The staff has been fantastic. I haven't been here long enough to be in any of the activities, and I'm still moving the last of my things in. I've toured several communities, but The Legends of Champlin so far has been the best."
