"I toured Chapel View Senior Health & Living Senior Living Community. It seemed very nice. The staff was very friendly. I didn't spend a lot of time there, but what I saw, I thought was really good."

"RidgePointe Senior Living looks good, and we are happy with it. We chose it because of proximity and also because of the price arrangement that we had with them. They had a good woodwork shop. Everything that we needed was in the apartment that we are getting, with two bedrooms, a washer/dryer, and it appeared to be well maintained. They had dozens of different activities going on all the time like games, reading groups, study groups, and learning activities. The tour was done very professionally and personally, and I didn't have any complaints. She went out of her way to meet all of our questions and concerns."

"The main reason we didn't take Ecumen Seasons for my mother-in-law is because they didn’t have any one-bedrooms available. They only had a two-bedroom, and you have to be on their waiting list until a one-bedroom came up. It has everything included into the price, and it would have been the most convenient for us because we live in Apple Valley. They have a lot of activities at this location. It was the most expensive of the ones we looked at, and they had the most things available, but they had a lot of meals included also, which is something that we learned from the past would be wasted, and they didn't have any one-bedroom available. So that was also a reason to not go with them, because the smallest thing they had available immediately was a two-bedroom. They were very nice and thoroughly explained everything, so it was good. It was a nice place, not just the right one. "

"We toured two apartments in the assisted living area of Havenwood of Burnsville. We then talked to the director of sales and marketing, Kristin, and she was very helpful. I liked the location. It was very convenient to get into and out of. The building was very nice. The apartments themselves, the kitchens, the bedrooms, the woodwork, and the cupboards were all very, very nice and very up-to-date. They had several nice community rooms. The other thing I liked about it was that their rent for the apartments included things like two meals a day, housekeeping, and laundry. It just made it a little easier to figure out the cost. We didn't try the food, but Kristin invited us to stay for lunch if we wanted to, but we didn't have time that day. We met the chef. Kristin introduced us to him, and he makes everything from scratch. We looked at the menu and there's a nice variety of foods offered. The dining area was in a nice bright, sunny area too. We liked the layout a lot there. Their staff are long term and they try to do things for the staff to make them feel like they're part of the family. The facility was very clean and looked very, very nice."

"I toured Cornerstone Assisted Living and Memory Care. It was a great experience. It's very close to my house. It's in a very quiet community. The rooms were nice. The food smelled delicious. The staff was very welcoming, and they had a lot of tenured people working there. I haven't tried the food, but the dining area was very pleasant and nicely kept. The residents seemed happy."

"I liked it very much; it was very nice. I felt good about the place, but it didn’t appeal for my needs. The staff that accommodated me was really wonderful. The dining area was nice, and I liked it. The room that I saw was nice and clean, but small."

"I went to check out Elim Shores' independent living section for my mom. It's in a great location, very clean, pleasant and quiet place. It had everything we were looking for, adequate room with a kitchen, great space for a bedroom. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a board that shows all the different activities that are going on. It would definitely be a place that I would consider when we come down to making that decision. "

"I'm moving into Havenwood of Maple Grove. The staff was very nice and caring. It's almost brand new, so it looks nice. Everything's clean and beautiful. My apartment here is about the same size as I'm getting at Havenwood. They had a nice, big dining area. There seems like quite a lot going on there, various classes and different activities. It was a busy place. I saw them in the exercise class. They were doing that. And then there was a card playing on two different occasions that we went there. We saw people playing cards. Everybody seemed happy."

"The Ecumen Parmly (Margaret S Parmly) is actually a very wonderful place, very clean, friendly, and nice. They do have assisted living, and we are trying to get my mother in there. She went in there Thursday last week, and the people working there were very friendly. It is very clean and very beautiful. It’s a large facility, but each section has its own wing. They have entertainers that come in, and they have TVs. The atmosphere was very good. The room is not that bad; they have like six people in there and each has plenty of room. She has her own bathroom, TV, a chair, and a table. She gets assistance getting to the wheelchair and then to the bathroom. They come very quickly when she pushes the button, and then the person that comes in would do wound care. They are very good, and they listen to her. "

"Benedictine Windermere Way is a fairly new place. My daughter-in-law's mother enjoys it very much. It's very well done and it is very comfortable. It had excellent people running it. The staff was competent and the activities were excellent. As part of their COVID protocols, you have to wear a mask, put antiseptic on your hands, and keep distance from the people. So, they are very cautious with that."

"My mother and I both loved Norgard Court. In fact, my mom put a deposit down on a particular apartment. But we had to give up her deposit because her health fell so quickly she needed more assistance and she will not be able to go there. They have very nice size rooms. It's a 1-bedroom with a den. We were there maybe three times. The manager of the place was fabulous, and a couple of people we did meet seem to bend over backwards for you. They seem very, very nice. It's a beautiful establishment as well. You had to be 59 years old and above to live there. "

"My aunt is a resident of Harmony Gardens. She enjoys it. It suits what she needs, and she likes it. It's a one-bedroom with a kitchen and a bathroom, a window with a nice view out the window, both for the bedroom and the living area. She likes the food. She doesn't rave about it, but she's not complaining about that. They have card games and other things like that, and trips that they'll take in buses or to shopping centers, movies, and sporting events. The staff had been very helpful, and it's a good value for the money."

"The apartment I am moving into Carefree Cottages of Maplewood is spacious. Their food is good, and their facility seems clean. They have underground parking, which is a big issue for me; they have more room and food service."

"The tour I had at Lofts on Rose went good. The person who did the tour was quite nice. I didn't see too many other residents around at the time. There were a few people outside, but I didn't know if they lived there or not. The upkeep was good. They were pretty good-sized rooms. They have a gym on the top floor. I was mainly looking for a place that was comfortable and convenient, but the two-and-a-half-hour drive down and two-and-a-half-hour drive back home wore me out."
