We looked at Lindstrom Senior Living, and that was a nice facility. The one that we looked at was on the second floor, the very end unit, and it seemed like just to get to the center of the building was about a half mile long. It really isn't, it just seemed that way. It's a long hallway. They had a full kitchen, and we looked at a two-bedroom, two-bath. It was about a little over a thousand square feet. Whereas the one we're at now is just a studio apartment that's 350 square feet. It's a nice, clean building. It's fairly new; it's four years old. The thing that I liked there was that the dining was more restaurant-style. Instead of having everybody at a long table, you had four residents at one table, and you could order off the menu, whereas here, you take what you get. The person who took us around was very good, warm, and outgoing. They did everything to show us the way. In Lindstrom, they put a plate at the entrance with the meal on it that you're going to have, so you can see ahead of time what it will look like and what it will be, which was helpful.

My brother has moved into Lindstrom Senior Living in their memory care. The staff is excellent. Everything is very nice and he's very content there. The only issue I had is the increase in rent was over $2,000, and that's a lot of money in my opinion. The care is wonderful. He has no complaints and he's settled in. He only has memory issues. Otherwise, physically, he's just fine. He seems to be real happy with the food. He's not eager to do the activities, so they convince him to come and join them. They're very good about it. Cleanliness is excellent. The service is really good. Value for money is very good. They're attentive.

Stay far away from this facility. They will try to rip you off any chance they get. They will overcharge you for services, and tell you that you need a higher level of care than you actually need just to get more money out of you. They seem nice and knowledgeable prior to moving in, but after they hook you, everything changes. They don't care about your loved ones the way they make you think they do. They don't even care about their staff. The executive director and nurse director are horrible, and will never communicate with you after you move in. Good luck if you choose this place. Watch your money, and don't trust anything they say!!!

My parents moved into Lindstrom Senior Living. We chose it because of the location and it's a newer building. Their apartment seems excellent. We haven't had any issues or problems, and the layout of the apartment is very nice. They have a calendar of activities that they do on a weekly or monthly basis. They have a library, a dining room, and a weight room. It's on the lake, so they have lake access with a dock and they might get a pond soon and tours of the lake. They have a one-bedroom with a den and a single bathroom. The staff is friendly, interactive, and helpful. Right now, my parents are still preparing their own meals.
