At Ecumen North Branch, we offer a diverse mix of affordable services and health care options that focus on your needs so you can focus on your life. We offer 51 spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments in our Assisted Living neighborhood – each with a full bath, kitchen and optional garage. At Ecumen, we honor and empower you with innovative approaches to care. In our Assisted Living neighborhood, we work hard to provide a cheerful, homelike experience for residents and their families. We’re centrally located, close to banks, shopping, restaurants and the local movie theater. We provide a range of services and amenities to help you enjoy a confident, more connected life. Our caring staff is committed to creating a wonderful community with exceptional floor plans and a full continuum of on-site health care services available, when and if you need them.

Ecumen offers daily activities tailored to enrich the lives of our residents. Some of the many activities include church services, weekly live entertainment, daily games such as trivia and bingo, holiday parties, community gatherings, exercise programs and community outings.

We are located in a tranquil country setting just 50 miles north of the Twin Cities, conveniently located at the crossroads of I-35 and Highway 95. We’re centrally located, close to banks, shopping, restaurants and the local movie theater. Residents can walk the " Ecumen mile" which is a circular path around our campus.

What transportation services does Ecumen North Branch offer to assisted living residents?

Arrowhead transit is available Monday-Friday from 7 am to 5 pm, Saturdays from 7 am to 4:30 pm and Sundays from 7 am to 12:30 pm. Further information is available at www.arrowheadtransit.com.

What makes the chef or dining program at Ecumen North Branch exceptional? What kind of menu can assisted living residents expect?

Three nutritional meals and an alternative menu are available daily in our dining areas. Monday through Friday we also offer our "cafe menu" which includes items such as burgers, chef salad or a breakfast alternative.

What safety features or security measures does Ecumen North Branch offer to assisted living residents?

We have a secured building with around the clock staffing.

How does Ecumen North Branch keep residents' families informed about their loved ones?

Ecumen sends out weekly facility update letters to all residents and family members. Additional communications are sent out as needed if the information is time sensitive.

If Ecumen North Branch accepts dogs or cats, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?

Residents are allowed to have a dog or cat reside in their apartment with prior approval of the community management. Pets must be less than 30 pounds and no more than 18 inches at the shoulder. A non-refundable fee will be charged upon acquiring the pet. A full copy of the pet policy is available upon request.

What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?

Ecumen North Branch staff receive ongoing education and training in several areas including dementia care, Alzheimer's disease, infection control, The home care bill of rights and emergency procedures.

What safety features or security measures does Ecumen North Branch provide to protect residents who wander?

All Assisted Living residents are provided with a emergency response pendant upon admission. When activated, the calls are directed to Ecumen staff for follow up. Each apartment bathroom also has an emergency response pull cord. Further information is available in our resident handbook.

Each individual is evaluated to determine their unique interests, abilities, skills and social needs. Daily structured and unstructured activities are included in the residents service plan and may be spiritual, creative, intellectual or sensory in nature.

Who assesses residents' health and cognitive functioning? How often is that assessment repeated?

An individualized plan of care is developed for each resident who elects to receive assisted living services. This plan is based on assessment by a licensed nurse and reviewed at least every 90 days or in the event of a change in condition.

Each individual is evaluated to determine their unique interests, abilities, skills and social needs.
