"My sister moved to Suite Living of Spring Lake Park. It's very clean, airy, and open. The staff is friendly and nice, and the food is good. However, they don't have enough staff. They have bingo and cards and go out and eat if they want."

"Mom also really liked it, but it was really massive, and she felt it was too fancy for her. The people were really friendly. There was a lot to do there, which was one thing I really liked about it. Going to the dining room was like going to a restaurant. It was huge. They had a pool for water aerobics. It was absolutely beautiful. The only thing she did not like about it was the buy-in. It was extremely well maintained, and it was so inviting. They had a little café where people can go and get coffee. The staff was very open to questions and were very friendly. "

"Sunrise of Golden Valley was a real small facility with about 30 rooms. They were a very nice size with lovely windows. It was a bright facility, and some of them had French doors. I liked the layout of the place. They had an enclosed patio that you can go to as well. I only met the girl that took me on a tour. She was the activities person, and she had only been there for three months. Since she was brand new, she didn't know about some of the things, but she was very nice and friendly. It is a two-story facility, and they have nice parking outside. On each floor, they have a couple of rooms that they call living rooms with TVs and stuff. Some people sit around in the nice lounge chairs, while some use it as a good place to meet other residents. The rooms were basically just a bedroom and a bathroom. They have no kitchen facilities, no cooking facilities, and no small refrigerators. There's no way to prepare any food at all. You have to get it in their lunch room, and that was a drawback for me."

"I chose Abiitan Mill City because of the neighborhood. My very first apartment in Minneapolis was right there. I raised my daughter there. Our favorite restaurant for our family is there. We have many friends there. They're welcoming to cats. There's a whole floor where a kitty can play and be on leash with others. It's easy for my friends to get to. It is not spacious. These apartments are dinky. The staff was very welcoming. They showed the library, the gym, the auditorium, the restaurants, several versions of the apartments, the open floors, the garden floors, and the patios. I like the design, too. It's very modern, not suburban, but the parking is so expensive, and I might have to give up my car. It's sparkling clean. My friends did have dinner there and they said it was very good."

Our house is located in the heart of the city on a quiet corner, where there are parks for our residents to walk to. Each resident has their own private room, fully furnished, including TV. Laundry is done everyday. The entire home is cleaned daily as well. Meals of choice are prepared for our residents, following any diet restrictions they may have. All meals are prepared and cooked fresh daily. NOTE: We do not allow alcohol, illicit drugs or pork. There is a big TV in our living room area where residents can gather to watch shows and movies, as well as converse and socialize. We provide culturally competent care for all clients. "it was a great residence but it could have been a little cheaper in price. They were very expensive, he was paying around $4500 per month. We had to eventually move him to a nursing home because he needed more care than what the assisted living could offer him "

"We toured Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge, and it went very well. We liked the location of it and the staff was very nice. We had lunch there and the food was very good. Everything was in good shape, and the outdoor areas were very nice with lots of trees around. They have activities, like bingo, then there's a pool table and a chapel. Everything was accessible from the elevator. The cleanliness and the upkeep was also very nice."

"My mom is in the memory care of Cornerstone Assisted Living and Memory Care. The biggest thing right now that I would say is they have a high level of staffing, and then their flexibility to work with an advocate on the care plan specific to that individual. The appearance of the place it's nice. It's accommodating. It's clean, and I think the facility is managed well. The upkeep of the place is very satisfactory to my standards. For the folks that are in memory care, I feel they need a little more one-on-one stimulation. It's a well-kept, large community. I specifically like the size of my mother's room. It is very close, comfortable, and accommodating."

"We had a very good experience moving my parents in. Though we are giving five stars, it might have helped to understand the Ambassador program better. Maybe we missed something that was explained to us but I don’t remember how the introduction between the ambassador and my parents was going to happen. A couple people told us who the assigned ambassador was but we never met him in the week we were there. Again, we might have missed something information that was available to us, but some information about how to get new residents familiar with wayfinding would be helpful. Maybe there aren’t any tricks for way finding except repetition."

"I have found Suite Living of Maple Grove for myself. It's five minutes away from my sister. It's nice. It's one level. It only has 12 residents for assisted living and then 12 residents for memory care. They're very nice and really polite there, and I like that about them, and then I can volunteer there too anytime I want. I can do bingo, and if somebody's sick or doesn't wanna do it, I can do that for them. There's painting, coloring, and games, and all this other fun stuff. It's a lot of fun. I'm so excited. They're very caring and nice to me. The staff member who gave the tour was very nice and outgoing and answered all my questions. She was very polite and considerate. The nurse that came over and talked with me said, "You're a good fit," and she was very polite and kind too. The dining area was very beautiful and very clean. The physical appearance of the facility was perfect."

"My sister will be moving into Suite Living of Anoka. It is smaller. I like the idea that she'll have more one-on-one time with people there. I liked how it's just one floor. If she eventually needs to go to memory care, the memory care is in another part of it. I like how the rooms are just studio. Their activities program and their therapy impressed me. The people so far that I've met there, even the residents, were very kind. The physical therapy staff and the activities directors came and spoke to her, and were just really, really kind. My sister really liked them. The atmosphere and everything there seemed just perfect for my sister. The staff during the tour was fantastic. They're accommodating her really well. They came to where she's at now with a nurse, and they asked her all different questions to see how she could get around, how she gets in and out of bed because she's in a wheelchair, how she moves her wheelchair, and how she gets in and out of the shower. They're just really attentive to her and checking her out. The activities director came and spoke to her, telling her that she could do this, and that, and so on. I could tell my sister was impressed with them and how kind they were to her. She's kind of introverted, where she doesn't reach out to people, and I liked how she was doing that with these people. She felt comfortable. It's very clean and very organized. The people that I've seen sitting in the lounge areas and in the dining room were laughing and teasing each other. I probably met four of the staff, and they were all very, very, very nice, friendly, outgoing, and welcoming of my sister. It was very pleasant. It was very nicely laid out. They went in and right away repainted that room for her, and already are thinking of where we could put this and that. They had some really good ideas. I liked it a lot."

"I toured Chapel View Senior Health & Living Senior Living Community. It seemed very nice. The staff was very friendly. I didn't spend a lot of time there, but what I saw, I thought was really good."

"Moun Zion is a very quiet and clean home with very caring staff, food quality is good, rooms are cleaned daily, staff are always willing to assist the resident. I love this home."
