My husband has moved to Yorkshire of Edina. It was in our location, and that was very important to me. His unit is just big enough. It's a little efficiency unit with a fridge and a little kitchenette. There's enough room for his bed, chairs, a desk and whatever. It's just perfect. The staff are wonderful. Every single person we've worked with is wonderful. Their cleanliness is very good. The food is good, too. What I like is you can come here 24/7 whenever you want. If you feel like you need to stay overnight with them, that's okay, too. You can eat here with them. He can go anywhere as long as I'm with you, otherwise, he has to stay on this floor. They have a recreational person who is just outstanding. I don't think you could get anybody better. They have exercise classes in the morning. They have coffee clubs. They play game music. They watch movies. There are all kinds of things to do. You can also get a doctor's care, dentist, PT, and everything here. They have a barbecue place. They have a musician that comes on Fridays. I can take my husband to eat in the dining room downstairs where other people who are not in memory care if I'm with him, so it's very flexible. It's not as expensive as some of the other places, so I think it's good value for the money.

Yorkshire of Edina has the services that my mom needs. They have a wide variety of services and they seem to be well-staffed. They have all kinds of things, like exercise classes, yoga, bible study, and book club. They have everything there. Food is good as well.

We had a family member with Alzheimers at Yorshire for almost a year and it was disappointment and disappointment. Medications were administered incorrectly. Expired medication was given for lengthy periods of time. Some medications we're giving at double doses. Nursing staff didn't know what 'sublingual' meant. Staff were rude and inappropriate directly to our family member staying there. Originally we were told there would be activities to keep residents entertained and that didn't turn out to be true. There's more- I could go on. Do not send your loved ones to Yorkshire.

Yorkshire of Edina is a good place, and my mother is in the memory care area. It's a very nice, small community, and it's very nice and welcoming. The place is spacious and the staff is awesome. The dining area looks nice, and I have been there when the residents were eating, and my mom hasn't complained about the food. The residents play bingo, they have happy hour on Fridays, and there's all kinds of activities. There's plenty to keep them busy all day long.

Yorkshire of Edina was beautiful, and we really liked the room and the wide hallways. It didn't look like a nursing home; it looked more like a home. One of the reasons that we picked it was because of the service that my father-in-law needed, like a low-sodium diet. We needed him to have a lot of care, but I don't feel like he got the care he needed there. They're so new, and it took about two weeks for him to get a low-sodium diet. Within a month of being there, he got pneumonia and had to go to the hospital. He lived in an apartment with a bath, a half kitchen with no stove, and one room where you would put your couch, bed, TV, and table. Everybody was so kind and nice, especially at the front desk, but we felt that it took too long to get with the program. People checking on him to make sure that he was bathing and was at the level of care should have happened, and I don't feel like it happened.
