My mother is at Brentwood at Elkhart Assisted Living. I like the nurse that she has. What I like least is the food. They don't do specialized diets for people. If there's a diabetic, there's no diabetic menu; it's all the same. At least that's the way it was the last time I talked to them. Most of the staff members seem just fine. They do different things in the common area. They do little exercises, they do bingo, and they take them on little field trips. There are plenty of activities. She's not happy with the food though.

I toured Brentwood at Elkhart Assisted Living. They take care of their people. The food looked wonderful. The place was clean. They told me about all their activities and they have a lot of activities for people. Their furnishings were nice and well-kept, and it looked very inviting. The staff was very friendly and very nice.

I toured Brentwood at Elkhart Assisted Living for my mother. I like Brentwood; it is nice. It's a nice, clean environment. The staff is very nice, too. The residents have a nice outside space they can go to. You get a lot of freedom there and you can visit anytime. The staff were helpful. They make sure to take the time to help you with whatever you need. They don't rush the process or try to force anything on you. I think the place is a bit small. I didn't try the food, but the menu sounded pretty good. It sounded like they had good options for food.

Brentwood at Elkhart Assisted Living was an older facility, but it was established, it was clean, and it was presentable. It had nice landscaping. They had an outdoor garden area where the residents could take a walk or sit and enjoy the outdoors. They were doing some activities in the center, so it's kind of like you walk into the main center and then there are some wings off of each side. Everybody seemed friendly and nice. They smiled and waved. It was a nice facility. The nice part about it is they do help the residents with the Medicaid waiver. If we can talk my mother into it, we'll choose this one because of the Medicaid waiver because I don't think she's got the money to sustain long-term living someplace. They're fairly expensive, but they also have cleaning and laundry service and stuff like that for the residents. It was well-kept and maintained.

The least I like about Brentwood at Elkhart Assisted Living is the price. The apartments are nice. They do a lot of activities with the residents there. They feed them three times a day, so my sister doesn't have to worry about cooking. They have a movie night. They do games and exercises with them. They have a snack area where they can go and get free snacks and coffee or tea. There's some outside area where they can walk around for exercise when it's nice out. They have a little garden area where they can do gardening. So to me, it's great for my sister. They said the room was a couple of doors down from the one they showed us, and my sister had a hard time walking, but they said they would look for something closer.

Brentwood at Elkhart Assisted Living was excellent. It was very clean, bright, and very nice. I loved all the activities they had. The rooms were very clean and I thought they were bigger than what I've seen in other places. The staff who assisted me during the tour was very friendly, kind, and helpful.

Brentwood at Elkhart Assisted Living was bright and cheerful. It had good activities, and the residents were up and about and moving around. The place was inviting. They had a chalkboard out front and the foyer was open and inviting. I walked in and felt that my mom could actually thrive in a place like this. The staff member who toured me around was very responsive and listened to my needs and my mother's needs as far as what she wants. They showed me the menu and they had a healthy diet. They said if my mom wants to have a pizza or a cheeseburger, they're not going to deny her to do that. They had plenty of outdoor activities, and they could walk outside themselves but still stay within the property. They had bingo, movies, and exercises.

We went here and I was really happy with it. It seemed like a good option if my father needed more care. The room was smaller. From just talking to them, when a resident moved out, they either shampooed the carpet, replaced the carpet, or repainted the room. I was impressed with it. I felt like they were caring and they weren't just getting the job done. They cared about whether the person would be happy there or not. They had a beautiful dining area. They had quite a few activities. They had a library area, a TV room, and a common area. The person who assisted me was great. She answered questions. The place looked great.

It was very nice, and that’s where we’ve decided to move my parents. It’s very clean and well-lit, and the residents were very nice. Several staff said hi and talked about the facility, other places we went to they just sit and watch people walked by. The amenities and activities seemed to be fine. I tried the food, and it was OK.

It was clean, busy and was an exciting place. It looked like they had a lot of age-based activities that the people were capable of doing. The rooms were clean, the size was sufficient, they had Bingo, music, and exercise classes, and it all looked very good.

My mother-in-law liked it. The staff that gave us the tour was very knowledgeable. We had a very nice tour with a lot of interaction with other people who lived there. We were able to talk with quite a few of them. They had a couple of resident advocates, my mother-in-law talked to a few of them, and I thought that was the biggest selling point because the two ladies that were resident advocates there were really informative and told her a lot of in and out things. She liked the set-up of the room, and a couple of residents invited us to come in and look on how they set up their rooms. We really enjoyed it. She saw them proud where they were, and it was home to them. It wasn't just like some institution. They had a special family dinner room that you could reserve, come, and have special dinner. She really liked all those points. She currently had a dog, and she could have her little puppy. That was a really big thing. She loved the dining area because there were actual tablecloths in it, everything was nice and inviting, and it didn't look like an institution kind of thing because that was she was thinking it was going to be, and I said it was not. We talked to the ladies about the nail things, the bingo, and all the different things. They gave us a copy of the calendar of that current month and the things that were going on. The place was aesthetically pleasing in the outside. It was very nice and very welcoming. She really enjoyed it.

I thought it was clean and bright, and it looked nice. The staff was helpful. We were able to walk through and see individuals who were there, and one lady showed us her room; she was kind enough to let us see what her room looked like, so that was helpful.
