"The Brennity at Tradition had full kitchens, which is nice, but they only offer two meals a day. The staff was wonderful. My brother and I got invited to something that they were having that night, an entertainer, and they told us to come back and check it out. The food was wonderful. Everything was clean. They had big rooms. It was just a little bit more expensive. Everybody was wonderful."

"My aunt is currently at Senior Paradise ALF. The community is beautiful, well-kept, and very clean. It's in immaculate condition. The staff are excellent. They're both very caring and very nurturing. They take them shopping and if they need to go anywhere. The dining area is very small, it's like a private house. So, it's a very homey atmosphere that you get. The dining area is very clean and family-oriented. My aunt is a vegetarian, so they make her special food."

"I toured Brookdale Vero Beach South. It's small and it's only assisted living, and people were friendly, so it was nice. I think they had a mini refrigerator, and you would have to bring in all your own furniture. The staff was very knowledgeable and did a great job."

"My mother moved into The Sovana at Stuart. The apartments are really large and they're great. The community is kind and a lot is going on. The staff is really, really friendly and kind. They don't provide food. She goes out a lot and they have a lot of food events. They have lunch and learn, movies, Zumba, water aerobics, breakfast, and different dinner groups. They have a van that takes them to all different places around and they have a van to take them to doctors and the grocery store."

"My husband stayed in The Harrison of Stuart, and the best thing about them was that even though we only lived there a week, everybody knew him, knew his name, knew his situation, and helped us through everything. The staff was very caring. Their food was good, but by that time my husband was only eating pureed food, and I thought it was too salty for the elderly. I don't know, but that was just me. Their facility was gorgeous. It's a little more expensive than the other facility but it's still worth it. They were more attentive to their patients in memory care, and they didn't just shove them in front of a television, and have them sitting there staring into space. They worked with them and played games as much as they could with them."

"I liked Brookdale Jensen Beach very much. I was planning on going there, but I decided I was going to stay home. The people who work there are very pleasant. Shereen was the one who took me around. The place was really nice. I liked everything about it. The apartments were bigger than I thought they were. They have a thing that you can pull in each room, and you can be wearing a pendant if you need help. The dining room looked nice. It's clean, comfortable, and friendly. Shereen was fantastic. It's three floors. I didn't realize that on my second trip, but there's an elevator that takes you downstairs, which is great. They have a room for veterans, which I am. So, that was nice. They play bingo and have a lot of amenities for the seniors who live there."

"I like the idea that Castlewood Assisted Living Residence is really sunny and bright with lots of light. I can be outside, and I'll be able to use my walker there. They serve three meals a day plus a snack. Somebody will help me do anything I need them to do, and I get to do my crochet. The staff that I saw over there seems to be really good. People are really friendly. They're real nice. They stopped and talked to me, and introduced themselves even before they knew I was going to be there. The room is big and there's lots of space. They told me I could bring anything I wanted as long as it was small. I don't know if they have anybody else with diabetes. I did ask if my diet would be considered and they said absolutely, they would make sure that I get what I need. The dining area is very spacious. It's got places where there are tables for four, and then there's another smaller dining area that has a bigger table where more people can sit, and they have some places where you can sit by yourself. There's a hair salon and a nail salon. I'm excited about the hair salon. I can have somebody wash my hair for me because I can't do it. The facility appears to be very clean. They were going from room to room to make the beds and stuff when we were there. It smelled clean, but it didn't have that bleach smell. I can't do the Clorox. I get a headache. I have asthma and bleach sets me off."

"I toured Hidden Lakes Senior Living Community. The people I talked to were very friendly. And the way they set it up, they have screen enclosures where you could sit outside, and you don't have to worry about bugs. The food was okay; it was good. And because I work, the only thing I would be interested in is dinner."

"The rooms at The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard were very comfortable and spacious for one person. The staff was excellent. What I didn't like about the place is that the only entrance to the apartment is outside, and it was a long walk."

"I liked Discovery Village Vero Beach very much. Our tour experience was very good. We got there a little bit before lunchtime, so there was a lot of activity going on outside of the dining room. They had a nice hospitality center. So, you could have some iced tea or a cup of coffee, which was nice for the people waiting as well as the visitors. The view was nice. It was open and airy. I liked it. I had a companion with me and we ate there. There was a table and the tour guide directed us to two ladies that were sitting. They were very nice ladies. They were very welcoming and very informative and we had a very nice meal. The company and the food were excellent. The tour guide was filling in for somebody, but she did an OK job. They had a screened-in balcony, a very nice pool, and lots of meeting places. It was very clean. They had a full kitchen in the one bedroom, washer and dryer hookups, and a lot of closet space. So, I liked their rooms."

"The Brennity at Vero Beach is upscale and it's pricy. It's top-of-the-line. They've also got unassisted living there, so wealthy people come down in the winter and stay there and they get golf privileges. It's a nice golf course. It's a fancy place. These people all do a wonderful job. They know what they're doing. They're professional. The restaurant had gourmet meals. When I was there, they had grilled salmon and tenderloin steak for that night. Everything was top shelf."

"I like that Sodalis Vero Beach was more family-orientated. Everybody treated me special. They took care of my needs. They were very interested and in detail as to what I wanted. They gave me their advice, which I found very, very helpful. I found the facilities to be excellent. The whole area is neat, tidy, and well-maintained. The dining room looks very, very nice. The apartment is a single deluxe. And it's very nice and spacious. I have to provide the furniture, which I understand. Once I get finalized with them, I will buy furniture for my mother. They're going to do the assisted living first and see how my mother's memory is, and then if she needs memory, I will switch her to memory care. The staff was very nice. She didn't rush me out the door. She spent a lot of time with me, and it was very, very nice. She introduced me to some of the staff. And the lady who would be evaluating my wife, and was very nice. She spent a lot of time with me and she's a caring lady. And I felt very comfortable with the staff taking care of me. When I went around the place, they had a movie theater with chairs and popcorn and everything. I thought it was very clean, neat, and tidy. The hallways were neat. The dining room was spotless."
